Any explanation? 2 hours ago, iainb said: Forecast doesn't look that iffy... would have been nice for them to give a reason You would have thought with this being the first home meeting since the terrible news of last week that they would have moved heaven and earth to get it on, while interest in "the story" is still high... local TV in attendance etc. Maybe the track is waterlogged though... we just don't know 2 hours ago, Phil The Ace said: No rain due today. Very suspect call off this Don't know what could possibly be "suspect" about this match being off, 2 full strength teams (I count using Nicholls as being at full strength) plus loads of publicity over the stadium, could have led to a massive crowd. I'm sure the last thing Wolves would want is a postponement!
Phil The Ace 2,860 Posted April 24, 2023 Got to say. I was wrong when I did look this morning it was dry. But it does say rain all afternoon now. So correct call. I apologise for my comment
iainb 5,022 Posted April 24, 2023 I don't know why they didn't just add that simple sentence to the original postponement message... At least Tiger/Lion Bomber will now be a Panther for the night

Beowulf 1,513 Posted April 25, 2023 I live no more than a mile from the track and yesterday I was working from home. There was no rain at all in the day or evening. Foreasts eh ?

noaksey 345 Posted April 25, 2023 Rain in the couple of days before the meeting seems to have been the main driver. Wolves have very limited access for track prep on race days
