I believe home side has to declare riding order a few days before so can't change on the day. Unless they changed it again lol

Best of luck to the track curators. No rain for over a week and positively tropical temps in Glasgow today. Not going to be easy keep dust down

They were watering until 1am and started again at 7am. One of the downsides of a well-draining track, I guess.

Would any/much of the water put down before 1am still be retained by 7am?

If you put enough down, yes. Maybe not on top. I guess the principle is that you need to get ahead - if you wait until the sun's out, it must become a lot more difficult. But I don't know anything about track curation.

I always remember at Eastbourne Bob Dugard watering all day when it was dry and windy like this with no rain in the forecast, starting the meeting with quite a wet track, always created a good dust free track as the sun came off it, we did run a deep grippy track though normally when at top level.

Track is definitely well watered. With Basso out, I think the tie is gone, but I also suspect the track won't give the Tigers much home advantage tonight. Might be a close one. Could be very interesting.

I know it's not the usual night and people might also be making the best of the weather, but I hoped the turnout would be better.

Cami's team talk hasn't helped.

Not been great but was always going to be a big ask even more so with no Ben.
