Bombers Pending Statement

Could be interesting times coming? Will Bombers upcoming statement open a few eyes as to what is going on with British Speedway?

Some Honesty, Truth and Transparency would not go amiss! Something the BSPL and others have not given us. So it’s down to Bomber to deliver, let’s see!

For next season he is having a personalised race suit made for every team so he fits in while guesting.

He will also be using a revolutionary colour changing crash helmet so he can ride for both teams in the same meeting. The colour the helmet is when he crosses the line will decide which team he scores his points for in that heat.

Probably going to stop racing, and become a Promoter, and show everyone how it should be done, saving British Speedway in the process.

I know it’s become a bit of a joke about Bomber taking so many guest bookings but it says a lot about the guy that he’s always the 1st one promoters turn to. Scored a paid max on his guest booking for Wolves earlier this season, he’s one of the good guys for sure and will be missed when he’s gone.

Illegally to boot, so win-win for the cartel.

I still insist for the changes to be made Harris HAD to have agreed to it. If Leicester said, sorry we're dropping you, but Peterborough have a team spot for you and Harris said, "sod it, I'll just race for Glasgow. Then Peterborough wouldn't have a replacement for Worrall, so he can't leave to go to Leicester, so Leicester wouldn't be in a position to drop Harris.

This is going to be the biggest anti-climax since Leicester's signing of Max Perry

That sounds utterly and completely ridiculous, and would destroy the sports' much respected, and hard earned, credibility status..

To allow such "contrived, made up nonsense" to happen would suggest that some haven't got a clue as to how to run and organise things...

So....

When did you say it was starting.?;):D

Why illegally?

010.5 FACILITIES

No facility is permitted to replace a rider, who although included in a re- declaration has not made an appearance for that team since being re- declared.

This applies to BOTH Becker & Nicholls. This rule is so rarely applied that it’s pointless being there. It’s probably only included to trip a particular team up.

So forgetting that that rule wasn’t applied, there is another that needs looking at……

010.3 TEAM DECLARATIONS

In the Premiership and Championship Leagues a rider taken out of a team through injury cannot be re-declared in that team, within 28 days.

Wolverhampton re declared their team 06/04/23 to include Scott Nicholls (5.28) for 28 days. (https://britishspeedway.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/p23_issue_3.pdf

http://www.wolverhampton-speedway.com/_mobile/news.php?extend.3652) He unfortunately got injured so Wolves asked if they could re declare back to their previous lineup.  The cartel said yes (obviously) on 10/04/23 and this meant the could call on a guest with a higher average to replace Luke Becker (https://britishspeedway.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/p23_issue_3.pdf)

But…..

Belle Vue re declared their team 27/08/21 to include Nikolaj Busk (4.63) for 28 days. ( https://britishspeedway.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/p21_issue_17.pdf

https://britishspeedway.co.uk/premiership/aces-make-injury-replacement/) He unfortunately got injured so Aces asked if they could revert back to their previous lineup. The cartel said no (obviously) and The Aces had to see out the 28 day period finding guests to cover his low average rather than Richie Worralls higher (5.32) figure. Bizarrely The Aces were made to find a guest (Simon Lambert) whilst a fit Richie sat on the sidelines as it fell with the 28 day period.  (https://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/20448/sheffield-premiership-06-09-2021)

The most important thing to remember here is that no one cares and it’s been that lack of care that has seen our wonderful sport die in this country.

But the thing is Scott’s 28 days was cancelled before he rode for us so it just reverted back to r/r for Luke. I’m pretty sure had we already utilised Scott under the 28 day facility it would have been a different story.

also important to mention that when Jacob and Freddy got injured in the semi final in 2017 we were refused permission to use Tai as he hadn’t ridden Uk so wasn’t able to appear in the playoffs. However last year BV were given permission to use Lambert under similar circumstances. BV must be members of said cartel then.

I’m fine with you believing that. Enjoy your speedway.

Next year will look very different for everyone, not just us. Just remembered why I hate Manchester clubs so much, thanks for reminding me.

Whatever Bomber says isn't going to change anything in speedway.

If the people in charge didn't want to listen to a World Champion in Woffinden and were happy to see him leave British speedway for Poland, they certainly won't care what Chris has to say!
