Think you guys would be silly to go too top heavy again with Doyle and m Sayfudtinov, get Emil back and build a strong team around him… he’s the real winner out of him and Doyle.

Why would it be silly?? We nearly won both the league and cup this season and the tail was woeful at times. This seasons team average is so close to the team building from this season if its similar it’s more than doable

emil

wojdylo

King

rew

doyle

dan t

edwards

rew really found his feet at the back end of the season should push on somewhat next year and someone like wojdylo has huge upside potential on a 5 point assessed average. It proved towards the end of year the top two and king score enough there’s not too much pressure on the second strings and reserves to score big which with less pressure they all started picking up points.

Birmingham riding on a Monday with most of the Wolves team signing for them is my guess.

They are unable to run on Wednesdays next year due to greyhounds.

Financial suicide and that'll be them done by the end of 2024 if they see the season out

It shouldn’t be financial suicide for them really or any other of the so called “premiership/elite”teams.apart from the odd few most of the teams in both 2 leagues are made up of the same riders(in certain cases riders who are doing all 3 uk leagues). So why do they charge more to watch them and why do the riders get more money just because they’re riding in a league with a different name.unfortunately speedway is (and has been for a good while now) a joke.the powers that be are killing he sport year by year.it won’t be too long until there are only a handful of teams left running.

see what nonsense comes out of the agm this year !!

If the limit stays the same and Brum come up, I see it playing out something like this - based on the Ellis to Belle Vue rumours

Belle Vue       Brum       Kings Lynn
1 Kurtz 8.51   1 Harris 6.53   1 Iversen 6.64
2 Ellis 5.71   2 Lawson 6.57   2 Tarasenko 6.94
3 Blodorn 5.83   3 Douglas 7.14   3 Basso 6.25
4 Rew 4   4 Brennan 6.02   4 Klindt 6.89
5 Bewley 8.21   5 Pickering 6.78   5 Magic/Lambert 8
6       6 Schlien 5.89   6 Lambert 4.78
7 RS - Bailey 0   7 RS - Pearson     7 RS Rowe
  40 32.26       38.93       39.5
    7.74     40 1.07     40 0.5

Ipswich       Sheff       Leis
1 Doyle 9.12   1 Holder 8.91   1 Fricke 8.98
2 Masters 7.13   2 Tobi 8.69   2 sedgy 5.07
3 King 7.23   3 Holder 7.16   3 b Cook 6
4 Riss 4.84   4 Howarth 5.55   4 Kerr 5.45
5 Henriksson/etc 5   5 Z Cook 5.1   5 Worrall 5.41
6 Wright 6.31   6       6
7 RS -Thompson     7 RS Gilkes     7  RS - Kemp
    39.63       35.41       30.91
  40 0.37     40 4.59     40 9.09

I'd love to see Emil back but something tells me he wont be, Ipswich won't build a team without King and there's no way they don't have Riss after sticking by him. I do think Rew will end up at Belle Vue to replace Lidsey

*preparing for pelters but they are just some breakfast time musings and sums

I think if they include him next season they need their bumps felt.  Woffinden will be somewhere as well, probably Sheffield.

Just based on his performances this year for them, he was the shining light towards the end of the season.

If anything I think it would be harsh him not getting a place there this year

The Holders and Cook were just guess work, would imagine Woffy for C Holder if he is back over here next year.

Hope if isn't for Musielak though, would be a poorer league without him in it.

I really hope Rew stays at Ipswich - On his current average with a season under his belt, it would be daft to let him go elsewhere - Of course if he wants to move on, then thats a different story...

Don't forget Piotr Pawlicki who said in last week's Star that he is looking to do UK in 2024

He is a wolves owned rider and ridden Perry Barr track.

For once at least we won’t see Chris Holders name appear as a possible signing.

From what Chris has said during the season & after the play offs it’s clear that team spirit & having riders who gel & get on is key.

Towards the end of the season it also appeared the all the riders are happy to return from interviews given & that they were genuinely surprised at the level of support that exists here as well as the passion.

Rew has already indicated he is happy to return. On a 4 & a years experience in the uk he should be a great signing. They do however need to get him at reserve at the start of the season.

Emil & Jason have both got to be back & again both appear to want a return.

I’m not sure about Riss on the face of it he should add a point to his starting average however he seems to have turned in to a one line sit on the inside type of rider. He is a gamble if we retain him & get the Riss of 2023 then the gamble backfires although if release him & he gets back to the Riss that was a Lynn we have missed out.

The only one of the 7 I’m pretty sure won’t return is Hume & that’s only because we need Rew at reserve.

Let someone else take that chance. This issue has been going on since the season started in late March, and by his own admission is still an ongoing issue. Far too much of a risk in banking on him getting back to 100% next March. There were far too many duck eggs in the closing weeks of the season for my liking, not a good sign. We surely have to look elsewhere.

One thing is pretty certain though, the team should be wrapped up far quicker than it was this year for obvious reasons. The bulk is probably already done.
