Here's the reply I received from the BSPA Office:

"You have quoted the rule yourself and it does not mention 'assessed', it says 'have an established MA' and Robert Lambert DOES have an established average, from 2019, he just hasn't done enough meetings to update that for this season.

Without appearing to be too long winded, that rule is with regards riders who have never had an established MA, hence it does not mention 'assessed'. I believe other riders in a similar position have guested this season, but nobody has queried that? I don't want to drone on but what if a rider is riding on his converted CL MA and has that * by his name, have they ever not been able to guest? Next season that box will be changed as it is obviously misleading when it suits!"

Reading that last sentence, I wasn't sure wether to laugh or have a fit of hysterics :D

That’s brilliant.

it’s the exact same point I made on the Belle Vue Ipswich play off post & was shouted down the masses who knew better. The last sentence is pure gold

And lose a huge chunk of income? Behave. This will severely cut the attendance.

it's a extra meeting they didn't expect to have so any income will be a bonus !!

Did whoever sent that not have a name? What a lot of bo....ks. Sums up why the sport is in the state it is.  Still helps those up North justify why they have reached where they are. Never mind, I am sure that the Sheffield management and fans can accept the situation and I guess they are proud of where they are at. Yes some Ipswich supporters clamoured for changes but CL runs the club his way. As many have said already who cares any longer and any true supporters in Suffolk will be at the Portman Road anyway, the witches are not that much of a pull compared to the tractor boys.

Nonsense. It’s an extra meeting they know they’ve now got before making the decision to cancel. There’s no way on gods green earth Chris Louis would cancel a meeting with a guaranteed biggest crowd of the season, to rearrange it on a date when the football team is playing and his gate receipts will take a massive hit. All because “he’s running scared of Chris Harris”? LOL.

They may ask Glasgow to postpone so Harris can ride at Ipswich, of course they may blame the weather forecast

The reg though states does the rider HAVE an established MA NOT has the rider EVER HAD an established MA

By the fact that the old MA is not considered suitable and needs to be reassessed Lambert no longer has an established MA

"When it suits" sums it up perfectly

i never said they did that ? iv'e looked at weather forecast and it looks a genuine call/off for me i'm relating to whatever crowd turns up on tuesday is a free hit for them i believe it will be a healthy one despite the football ? but Louis did make a smart move knowing Harris unaviable which i'm glad for !! sheffield are win at all costs and are ok with the rules from last year used by us :nono:

I just wonder how many more seasons the BSPA are going the let Lambert ride the last few meetings so he can keep his low false average. I guess adding his meetings from the last 2 seasons together to get a rolling average would be to hard for them to work out !!!!

I don't understand why play-off meetings are not included for averages.

Did you even type that with a straight face? It’s your promoter who clearly has a win at all costs attitude regardless of the integrity of his choices. Should we be surprised though? After all this is the bloke who insisted his nephew who wasn’t far off qualifying for a testimonial, should be eligible for a “rising star” role as he (wrongly as it turned out) assumed it would give his team a huge advantage!

How many times did Sheffield turn up to Ipswich without a certain Jack Holder as it made them stronger as he hated the place.
