Can't answer that, till we know how many points are available when the last rider is signed but Zaine Kennedy, Dan Gilkes, Jack Thomas, Ty Proctor, Adam Roynon, Stefan Nielsen.

I may well have signed Liebman ahead of the bottom 3 just for the publicity, but if the first 3 fitted, wouldn't have passed them up.

Gilkes had offers and didnt want Champ…

Kennedy and Thomas spent the whole of last season injured. No less of a risk tham Liebman…

would have her over any of the last three.. honestly this isnt this massive shock some want it to be

I'd suggest every one of those riders is either injury prone, unwilling to ride Championship or on their way down. If Liebman had been signed and frozen out a genuine British youngster who is ready for the challenge then fair enough but I don't think that's the case. I think she is one of the most exciting signings of the winter, along with Worky's other two new ones!

Ill be taking my daughter when she visits my local track as shes excited to see a female rider shes previously shown no interest in going… might only be 1 but sure there will be others… who exactly do you think is missing out whos any better??

Er .. 13-year-old Willie Cairns on a 250cc is better!

Armadale June 3rd 2023

British Youth Championship Round 4

Celina Liebmann's times:

64.7

64.1

No time

62.5

62.9

Willie Cairns' times:

No time

61.6

62.0

61.7

No time

To put it into even more perspective...

The fastest time around Armadale in 2023:

Justin Sedgman 12/05/23 in a time of 56.5

And for the record...

Jody Scott and Ashton Vale were posting sub 60 second times that day.

Celina Liebmann was distinctly unimpressive.

I’m sure 125/250 is only 3 laps

Just checked Liebmanns times when she rode some races against Katie Gordon at Redcar last year.

57.6

58.1

57.5

58.0

Ashton Boughen won the 500 cc event that day and his times were (2 wins)

56.6

58.2

Maybe she just couldn’t work out how to ride Edinburgh on her first visit? Not uncommon.

Was going to say the same. Probably never seen anything like armadale, seen far more experienced riders struggle around there!

I’m not saying she’s going to be great or maintain her average, but the narrative that she’s depriving a male rider of a team place to the detriment of the sport, I don’t agree with.

It's good to see so many graduates from the British Youth Championships setup riding in the championship this coming season (Joe Thompson, Dan Thompson, Sam McGurk, Sam Hagon, Ace Pijper, Ben Trigger, Freddie Hodder, Max James, Luke Harrison and Max Perry) Proof that this kind of development is essential to the future of speedway in this country. My only wish is that more people would turn out in support of these events because attendances are quite low whenever I've been to them.

She could have asked Leon Madsen on his thoughts on Armadale.
