A lost BP is the only real damage from last night. (so far)

Is it really any "damage" Ipswich will 99.99% make the top 4, doesn't matter what position they finish in (1st - 4th).

No action against Doyle.

Common sensed prevailed in the end. (Six words you don't often see on a Speedway forum).

Jordan had travelled straight from Ipswich on Thursday to ride for GB in Pardubice. This was meant to be Saturday but postponed til Sunday.
His suit had gone home to Norwich to be washed.
With the delay to the meeting, he drove from Czechia straight up to Manchester and wasn’t able to collect his suit, hence the GB suit

Doyley could have picked it up for him... oh hang on...

So whatever happened to Tungate was in his control.

Yes because that little prat had 3 or 4 days to get back to UK.

Doesn't matter still had more time than Doyle to get back here if he could be arsed.

Leicester are riding on Thursday night, I live just over a mile away... should I set out now?

Possibly, because he said "heavy traffic" delayed him getting to the airport, if you have a plane to get you should assume heavy traffic/accidents/etc and leave home earlier than needed, it might mean sitting around in an airport lounge but at least you wouldn't need to use lame excuses for missing a plane.

That would depend on the traffic I would suggest keep checking the traffic reports and adjust your journey accordingly, common sense really.

This is definitely great news for Ipswich - like the SCB no further comment needed!

Was not aware of that time difference so that makes sense for the difference in the 'punishments'!

Common sense regarding Jason Doyle.

Jason suffered a loss of earnings.

Ipswich had to field a weakened team for an away fixture.

Club and rider suffered enough without further punishment.

This is the problem with speedway in general, riders having team places across Europe and having to rely on public transport to get them from a to b to c to meet the demands of the sport and unfortunately airlines run like buses and trains and are in general unreliable when you have a tight schedule. Riders are not to blame for the failings of planes, air traffic controllers etc. but given that the Poles are in full control of speedway in Europe and dictate the terms, it is not surprising that every other nation has to put up and shut up. Blame the BSPA for the state of the sport as they clamour for top riders at any cost and when it does not work out they blame the individual. If the sport was run on the basis that clubs put on meetings that suit the local market and employ riders who can fully commit to those match days without chasing the inevitable then things might be different. It is all well and good saying that the top riders are tempted back to the UK and it is an improved product but no one has calculated the risk of the non appearance of a rider for circumstances beyond the riders control. BSPA Head in sand as usual. Neither Tungate or Doyle should be penalised, the promoters know the risk and it is them that should carry the can.

Dont understand this at all .Riders are always on a tight deadline to make meetings and are only a  plane being delay from missing a match . A plane on a sat night or Sunday after a Gp can stop someone getting to a match in Poland.. its Part of the Sport not much anyone can do about it..Tungate got a ban as quite clearly he could and should have made the meeting in the opinion of the BSPA.

I don’t see any real reason for us to make changes yet. Belle Vue is somewhere we’re always poor at currently top of the league with one defeat.

once the averages change if Jenkins & Rew don’t  get going then maybe time to change.

currently very happy especially as Emil hasn’t got going yet equipment issues I understand.
