  1. Heat 1 Bomber misses the gate and can make no impression on the three riders ahead of him . Later on his usual self . Dont remember many passes after bend 2 in lap 1 until the latter heats . Thought Flint was riding inches from the fence in heat 14 to get any drive . Whatever the reasons for bringing Meredith in , we can all see the track was better before his arrival
  2. Main problem is I don't know much about track prep but our track seems much slicker since Meredith took over as track man . That doesn't suit us since we have lost the ability to gate . But fair play to Redcar they are a solid side throughout and we got away with it last night to a certain extent
  3. Thats poor since its the BSN cup , I just assumed it would be for that reason
  4. Well into the tickly bit of the season now , with the next 7 days defining Glasgow's season . We should be at full strength bar maybe young Max , but I dont think there are any mickey mouse FIM nonsense to keep our riders from the important stuff this weekend.
  5. He kept us in it last night . To a certain extent we got away with one last night , at one point I didn't think we would reach thirty points . So it's in the fun zone , are we capable of reaching 53 against Edinburgh at home - yes we are . But likewise are Edinburgh capable of reaching 39 at Ashfield - yes they are . So the second leg should be a cracker and should draw a big crowd , bring it on .
  6. Whether Wood is better than Perry at Armadale is irrelevant as he won't cope with Grahn or the improving Loftus . After watching Hook virtually wave Palovaara through in heat 1 of our last visit there , the guest situation is a major worry for us . What these riders scored before there this season is no guarantee they'll do that as a guest . I can only assume we were forced into riding this fixture on a date when three of our riders were missing.
  7. At home you can do that in the easier fixtures
  8. Shame I never saw you yesterday, haven't seen you since the Derwent Park days . Look yesterday was one of those days , it happens, Workington were better than us on the day . We still have much to look forward to , beat Edinburgh on Friday and we finish top . But we need to gate much better on Wednesday to have any chance of overcoming Poole in the KO Cup .
  9. Was looking forward to watching Nagel round the wide open spaces of the Northside track , but the Danish under 19's is such a important event in the grand scheme of world speedway . He's not quite at Thomas H Jonasson level at missing meetings for a Scottish club , but its getting close .
  10. Harris really is something else
  11. Job done in emphatic fashion last night , to start off with three 5-1's was amazing . You can only beat what's in front of you , but that was the worst Ashfield performance from a Monarchs side in many a year . Great to watch how our young pair at reserve are progressing week by week . Bring on the Pirates
