Kildemand rode in 9 GP's last year so should be classed as any other GP rider and assessed at 9 or 8, whichever is being used. He last rode in the UK in 2015 and averaged 7.10 but it is farcical if he is allowed to return on that average but Zagar, who last rode in the UK more recently, in 2016, wasn't allowed to return on his average of 7.48.4 points

Stainless, Fueltaps would be correct in saying it was another who originally set up the Facebook page and came up with the name MASSIF so I can't take any credit for that part of it , but as others and yourself have mentioned differences within the group saw this said person decide he didnt want to be associated with the group anymore and see me take up the challenge of trying to look after our Facebook page . It was my choice after asking people on the page would they want a Twitter page as well which seems to have been a big success so far . I'm not the leader nor do wish to be called the leader of the MASSIF , I do what I do on the Facebook page and Twitter account because I enjoy doing it. No one person is the MASSIF, we are a group of madcap noisy fun loving collection of people who enjoy going to speedway . All we have tried to do is try and get the crowd going and inject a bit of atmosphere into the meeting which resulted in some brilliant night's at Foxhall towards the end of last season even if the results didn't go our way . That's us the MASSIF .3 points

No Problem Randy, Oops, pardon the typo...... I have no idea. I guess there are always riders who will come, for a price.3 points

You really are just a flog, you don't know the kids personal issues , I suggest you just keep your big trap shut. Perhaps he's completely the opposite and if he has a kid on the way he's honoring his commitment and getting a real job or wants to be there as a father, speedway after all is only a sport. Welcome Aaron, sorry to see Ben or should I say not see Ben this season but Aaron will be just fine. Does anybody know the average he has?2 points

Is there any chance of Poole creating a team fairly? everybody else does why was Pawlicki's average not lowered ? every year Poole pull a trick.2 points

If Kildemand is allowed to sign for Poole then the sport is really bent. As you say Zagar wasn't allowed to return on a 2016 average because he rode in GPs. Anyone can clearly see then that Kildemand, in exactly the same posiion, can't be allowed to return on a (even older) 2015 average. It has to be 9.00 If Kildemand is allowed to ride, then Zagar should sue the SCB as he had an offer of a team place on 7.48 which was withdrawn when he was saddled with a 9.00 average for the exact same reasons that should apply to Kildemand. P.s. Is Holder's work permit expected to be granted in a few weeks, or is he out for the season now?2 points

Who said he was leader? And how could he be leader when it was set up before him. There is one chap that does the Facebook and Twitter page, so he is the main man. I have a feeling the chap with 56 names was asked if he wanted to sit with a bunch that already sat together and he took it on himself to be leader, but like said above, he fell out with a couple and hasn't been seen or heard of since, which is a shame as he was awsome at blowing his own horn.2 points

Having been a Rye supporter for many years Len Silver took the angle that the speedway must survive over rider signings. If the promotion don’t have deep pockets then it’s this route or no speedway.2 points

NO, he had 2 with him. But it was a meaningless meeting so his main priority was to fix his no1 bike and find what the trouble was. He found the problem and solved it after an extensive practice after the meeting.2 points

adam left workington with an average of 5.12 . he did not take part in enough meetings to get a proper average , but his average had dropped way down . we replaced him with that pillock sarj , who then gave us a masterclass in average fixing . if we had kept adam in the team he would have been @ reserve and adam being adam could have upped his average quite a bit . but he didnt get the chance ! we thought we were getting a decent rider in for adam. but all he did was average fix for the rest of the season . sarj from 5.12 to 3.33 says it all . sarj says he is going to double his average in 2018 . lets face it, if he does there will be no shocks from the people of workington who suffered the form of this so called sportsman . adam 2 reserve could do a job and deserves another chance , where as the other fecker dosent deserve sod all from speedway . shambles of a speedway rider and a cheat to workington speedway ..we wont have long to wait to see sarj as he is down with Glasgow @ workington in the 2nd fixture of the season . hope you get a full team out before the official fixtures kick in .2 points

The difficulty is spend your money on who. There is virtually no-one to sign and Poland has a rule of a 9 man pool, but the team with Hancock, Rose and Kus has 14 riders stockpiled. That in parts has caused a shortage. My way out would have been to go for a new 5.2 rider, and hope he comes good, and a bigger signing into the season when someone gets disallusioned with Poland, and is looking for another income stream. It might be starting low, but there will be opportunities to restrengthen as time goes on. It's got to be remembered we started later than everyone else, and with lesser money probably, so there was always signs we would be limited as to who we could sign. Hang on for the early days and see what pans out but we still should have faith in George and Martin as both of them will not want a poor team for very long. Have faith.2 points

As it stands our opener and Buxton away in august. So on the face of it not a disaster for Kent, the problem arises if both sides are successful later and reach play offs etc. But riding at the higher level on a weekly basis and for such a professional club as Glasgow can only benefit Kent with even greater progression for young Jack.2 points

Just because we don't appear to have a world beating team doesn't mean that the racing won't be entertaining. When we had the all conquering team racking up 5-1 after 5-1 it may have been nice to win but often the actual racing was poor. I'll reserve judgement and be prepared to watch some exciting heats.2 points

SCB 2018 rule that “riders must remain astride their machine when ‘gardening’ at the start-line. As we saw/heard last night in the first meeting of the season at Belle Vue, 3 riders excluded having got off their bikes to prepare their start position. Riders/managers complaining of this rule. I believe rule possibly brought in to speed meetings up. But it doesn’t. Riders in my opinion should be able to prepare their start position, have a cup of tea or what ever within the 2 minutes allotted time. As in Poland a digital clock should be placed by the start, the referee starts the 2min. count down and if a rider not ready, then he is excluded. This system should be in place for all leagues in all countries. Same rule everywhere.1 point

for me the way 2 go is discounted tickets rather than freebies even if its a fiver if you get someone to pay a small fee it shows theres a slight interest there to start with freebies you never know what your getting in1 point

Looks like I spoke too soon! One day, just ONE day is all its taken.Grrr. Whatever the rights and wrongs of this, Id still rather have Holder than Kildemand any day of the week. Fed up and peed off good and proper before we even get started!!1 point

So yet again its Poole speedway who bring the sport into disrepute with their continual season after season of bending them rules. Replace Chris Holder on a 7 with a better rider in Kildemand and thats deemed as ok? About time Chris Holder was moved on from the UK we dont need his sort in the league. So yet again if Poole win the league it will be yet another hollow victory1 point

No of course not but appearing in 9 of the 11 gp's is a little different to a single appearance as a wildcard isnt it1 point

I agree - has BSPA agreed Kildemand can ride for Poole. Good but craft move by Ford to replace a 7pt rider with a 9pt one and still be within limit.1 point

They can't use Kildermand can they? Didn't they bring in a rule GP riders who missed last season would be reassessed to a 9.00 exactly like NKI?1 point

Considering it snowed all afternoon and night at Arlington Saturday , the shale looked in good condition. Hardly any cars went on there during the evening, 'so I would say the conditions have affected the track rather then the stock cars.1 point

Last ave. for Roynon I can source is 5.12, which would put him in the main body, but with 5 reserves it will be like musical chairs, I would think1 point

which to be fair is correct, any official body can only be interested in an official contract, any thin classed as unofficial should be nothing to the with an Official body1 point

Everyone needs to stop overreacting to Tungate's performance imo. Obviously something big went wrong in his first heat. Couldn't fix the problem by his next Heat and got excluded under 2 mins. Then he was virtually playing catch up whilst having problems with his bike/bikes all night long. Just a bad night at the office and tbh its a nothing meeting anyway. All about getting rid of the rust and getting some laps in before the real stuff starts.1 point

Re the gardening - it serves no purpose to insist the rider remains on the bike. The 2 minutes is 2 minutes whether they are on the bike or doing a dance around it...1 point

Good post, didn't Jake have a season with Sheffield a few years back? Unfortunately more experienced riders in the team weren't performing which meant more pressure was being put on your son and in turn he lost his place and has never had another go at Championship racing as it is called now. Riders like Connor Mountain and Alfie Bowtell need NL riding in my opinion just for instance say Bowtell has a poor start to the season doesn't score many points and gets dropped by Lakeside then he'd be completely without a team which is so wrong when teams like Berwick, Edinburgh, Peterborough, Redcar, Scunthorpe and Workington all have foreign riders riding at reserve now some of these have been riding over here for a long time but still get picked over young English riders. What's the incentive for young English riders who progress from riding in the NL to get CL places because promoters tend to pick foreign riders on "bargain" averages. Arguably you should have 6 & 7 in the CL for young English riders and promoters should be made and encouraged to stick with them for the full season.1 point

Bens a good lad, he does a lot locally for charity and is well respected for it. Like most young speedway riders he was expected to mature far too early, and he admits doing something stupid and has taken the rap for it. Hes certainly no saint, he can be bolshy (little man syndrome) and he's quick tempered and quite firey. Does that you remind you of certain Dane ? Both in my opinion are unduly criticised for showing passion and spirit. I'd rather have N.P or B.B anyday rather than some of the safer less edgey riders who never give 100%. Ben learn a lesson from this.1 point
