  1. Didnt seem to hate each other at all whilst at Glasgow last season . Infact laughing and joking with each other on the truck would suggest otherwise.

  2. So, you are now saying that, when you posted the comment: “Richie Worrall left Glasgow before signing for Poole or around a similar time.” that was not meant to be factual? So what was it meant to be? Deliberately false? I have no allegiance to Poole but I have noticed that you have an apparently insatiable desire to knock anything the Poole team, the promotion and the supporters say and do? Someone mentions the name of a potential signing and you immediately find a negative. I’m not having a go at you, I’ve no idea who you are, but I am concerned at your negativity. It cannot be good for your general well being finding pleasure in criticising others.

  3. Blimey want to really make sure the Warriors finish off the bottom...my gambling is worse than my predictions. Should IOW not finish bottom of the league 2019 season i will pay for 1 my first skid session for the child of your choice and hopefully play my part in creating a Warrior of the future who will keep the side off the bottom.

  10. Connor has every opportunity to do well this season, its his opportunity. He will either take it or he will not. When he rode for us on each occassion he did well including race wins, so this is his chance. However, the "long list" of poor IOW reserves is a little unjust in my view. It just so easy to talk things down but I can assure you being on the island is a nightmare when it comes to agreeing terms with "hot shot" reserves. This year we had 3 hot shot reserves who we were in discussion with who were "desperate" to ride for the club...... yet only 1 on these became a Warrior - Chad. The other two walked us down a long path and ultimately went the way of more money or easier travel (the travel is understandable for a student). As was the case for last year, I had already spoken to a top local school that would allow any "hot shot" to particpate at thier school on the Friday reducing the time the rider missed from two to one day from school. Finally, it isnt as simple as wave a magic wand and they shall appear either. On the island it is different - it takes more time to get to (we do it each week too) and we will NEVER pay more than we can afford - it is foolish to do so, unless you dont mind losing money. A club which survives to thrive is way more important than a club that tries to buy the league by inflating wages and affecting the long term viability of our league..... and to be honest with you, our speedway on the island is always about the bigger picture - the fun family experience with riders who want to be there, with riders who will be heroes to our fans and inspire the next generation of rider and fan. I am extremely proud of this years team, but make no bones about it I would have prefered to have our entire team back from last year... but the rules stop that. This is a good team who will do the club proud, everyone of them has the opportunity to improve their average and do well. Time will tell Thanks as always for your feedback.

  11. Seeing as you are so well informed about a team that's in opposition with your own team , perhaps you could enlighten us a little more on the supposed hatred amongst these riders . Sounds to me that you are a little jealous and are just spouting bull5hit .

  12. Nice words from NBJ on rejoining the Bandits: "It’s the first club I’ve ridden for in England where I felt everyone standing together! I was so gutted when I was made aware the club would be up for sale. I felt 100% I’d go back again for next year. Luckily enough Jamie rang me a little while later and told me he would make sure the club runs in 2019 and if I’d be interested in coming back he would be more than happy to sign me again!" "We made a major climb up the table this year, and with pretty much the same team we are capable of climbing even further up! I want to be a part of a winning team and that’s why I choose Berwick again! Even David Howe, my team mate this year will now step in as my mechanic. With an experienced man like him to give me that right advice . I feel more motivated than ever, not only for myself but also to give the club the success it deserves!”

  13. Got to say fair play for taking advantage of the ridiculous rules that allow 2 experienced top flight riders use their lower league averages. It yet again shows how pathetic the clowns are who allow this too happen & no dig at the team who’ve used it to their advantage.

  17. The most recently established MA is used, unless a rider has an average from both leagues in the same season when the appropriate average applies. (Art 16.2.7) Spot on, all averages need to be ratified by the BSPA Office in due course

  21. Should hear something this week then. Possibly/hopefully! TBH you don’t get any prizes for announcing your team first, and I’d rather he took his time to get the right riders, then rushing it through to satisfy impatient supporters. I think I’m more impatient this year though because of all the uncertainty of whether we’ll actually have a competitive team or not let alone a successful one.

  22. Please don't concern yourself with empty gossip, there will only be peace, love and harmony in the 2019 Panthers camp

  23. i get sick of this 'watering down' comment from all and sundry on here. The 'product' is the racing, not names. Well matched teams on a good racing surface is the 'product'.

  24. Its all about opinions , Mine opinion is... that Panthers line up is one of the strongest posted so far , Bomber .. can still perform at PL level , as proven last year HA ... Still a very capable PL heat leader Wright .. Should be able to up that average by at least a point Cook... Will feel he has something to prove , and will probably finish top of averages Add to that a very strong reserve duo ,... Looks very promising for Peterborough

  26. In theory it’s to aid young Brits get more opportunities at reserve in the top flight to enable them to progress rather than be snubbed for second foreigners on low averages - I’d much rather see the likes of Ashley Morris, Nathan greaves etc. Getting these opportunities over the likes of berge for example

  29. Some of the teams mentioned might not whet the appetite of everyone - but I think if Lynn announced a top 3 of Woffinden, Zmarlik and Dudek, there would still be moaners. Lets remember that the majority of people predicted Lynn would finish with the wooden spoon with last years team, and whilst there were a few changes, remember how that one panned out? This negativity does nobody any favours - how about getting behind the team once it’s announced and see how far they can take it again? Also, a question for those who no longer attend regularly - what would make you come back? A winning side, competitive racing or both?

  30. at last panthers do look like they have got team building right on paper , not barkers biggest fan but if he's on it at start of season panthers could be nigh on unbeatable early doors

  31. But it’s plain stupid to say that a PL to CL conversion rate of 1.5 will be applied to PL riders to discourage them from doubling up in the CL and yet allow the rate in reverse to allow CL riders who have had experience in the PL be brought back into the PL on lower averages. So a 2018 PL reserve like Wajtknecht, who is doing his best to progress, now has to face CL heat leaders riding at reserve for another team. That can’t be right. Rasmus Jensen is anotherer example. He has a CL average of 6.59 (compared to Wajtknecht’s CL average of 5.19) but could come in to a PL reserve berth on a paltry 4.39 (compared to Wajtknecht’s genuine PL average of 4.37). How is that fair to 2018 PL riders? Just wrong.

  34. Honestly With it being Christmas I was tempted to stick down all those chestnuts just to get with the spirit of the season. However I would have got slated for an overtly long post. However well spotted IS... and as Nat King Cole once sang... LYRICS Chestnuts roasting on an open fire Cami Brown nipping at your nose Yule-tide carols being sung by a choir And folks dressed up like Eskimos (because it's Glasgow) Everybody knows a turkey like James Sarjeant and some poor 2 point reserves. Help to make the season bright Tiny Jocks with their eyes all aglow Some jealous with all the money the Tigers spend Some Comets will find it hard to sleep tonight They know that the Facena's are on their way Loaded with lots of toys and goodies on their Gravy Train And every Glasgow Fan is gonna spy To see if Rasmus really knows how to fly And so I'm offering this simple phrase To Speedway fans from one to ninety-two Although it's been said many times, many ways No matter how much Glasgow spend they still won't take a pot home to view. And so I'm offering this simple phrase To kids from one to ninety-two Although it's been said many times, many ways Merry Christmas to you Just in case you want to join in... The lyrics above fit just as well... All the best... Regards THJ

  35. Fake news? On here? Surely not!

  36. I love the way you post unsupported comment as fact. Richie Worrall started riding for Poole in May and was still riding for Glasgow in July. Hardly leaving Glasgow “before or around a similar time”. Also he quickly switched from Glasgow to Edinburgh so his travelling was just about the same. So why would the commute, if (a) he is signed, and (b) he is in fact commuting, affect him? I fear your need to have a kick at anything to do with Poole may be affecting your judgement.

  38. Some games get crowds of 7,000 (internationals mainly)and as many as 400,000 watch the coverage on Sky.Compared to the number who watch speedway and the average 80,000 BT audience I would say netball is doing rather well in comparison

  39. Nicolai has been bending Matt's ear about Rasmus since the end of last season!! Seems as though he might have got his way. As for the Glasgow/Poole travelling, it didn't seem to worry a couple of the 2018 Premiership-winning team did it?!

  40. They did, new track man for 2019 Hopefully a little grippier, it was a little too slick this year.

  41. Looking at the likely number 4 riders this year & the proposed Eastbourne side Morley is certainly the closest to it in terms of consistent standard and it is ultimately the next step for him in his career as he looks to hold his own outside the reserve / number 2 berths. Lets not forget its not the riders fault that they are being pressed into riding in positions perhaps slightly above their current level (same as Bowtell at 2) its the way the side has been built and with 2 x 9+ riders included there will always be a long tail who perhaps gets a slating they don't deserve.

  42. My personal highlight this week was when he was crying about the riders who have got Championship places and he hasn't.......because you are a non improving selfish chump with an ego far greater than your ability.

  43. I'm more interested in the track being prepared for all the racers in this Panthers team. Last season, the track was too slick most weeks, in my opinion. Hope Buster has a big input in track preparation.

  44. This is not the first time Judas has done this , and even when he has stuck with the team he chose he only rides when he feels like it , why does he keep getting tem places ? lets start a team Dean , offer him big money m then once all the other teams are complete , say we have had a better offer so goodbye

  45. Well Harris and Cook hate each other Barker and Cook hate each other And BWD and Cook had a mega falling out 3 weeks ago. Great team, not jealous, just saying what ive been told.

  46. Think thats very harsh and un-true. Morley at home may look high considering his performances will be similar to Wood & Brennan who are available combined for the same average but away he will be far more experienced and is developing on the bigger tracks. Add in that he actually achieved that average in a tougher Championship last year showing he has been there done it. Perceived signing wise Kennett looks the worst signing average wise but i wouldn't say he will be a bad signing.

  47. Think Eastbourne have got the balance pretty much right with the predicted side and shows the coffers are a little healthier than Brums. Keeping a core from the Nl side to appease the current fan base whilst adding some big hitters who are well know in the sport and have Eastbourne connections is clever. Add in a good race night and i think the home crows will grow (but by enough who knows?). With Kents issues in switching race day providing the opposition looks like it will put up a decent contest i suspect there will be a fair few fans travelling from the neighbouring county , myself included.

  48. Pleased to see Georgie at Smallbrook, we love him and I am sure Warrior fans will too. He will even wear the No 1 jacket to start with. Stay clear of injuries and the play offs beckon. I would love to see IOW win the league. Islander15 would have a grin a mile wide

  49. Looking at your team you have a lot more to worry about than rasmus Jensen. Particularly sarjent, starke an them two reserves. It is what it is, I don't agree with how Glasgow went about the way they did to get Jensen, but he's there now an has 10k in his back pocket. One with about rasser is he won't take any crap or pressure from the Glasgow promotion when things ain't going there way. Could of been worse for workington with Glasgow trying the same dirty tricks with Bickley, luckily young Kyle was a lot more loyal than rasmus, and stuck to the agreement wich had been shaken on.

  50. Honestly... If Glasgow went up into the Premiership and persuaded (money talks) one big rider like Emil Sayfutdinov, Artem Laguta, Patryk Dudek, Bartosz Zmarzlik, Maciej Janowski etc... to come ride in the uk... And have them love it (hopefully) it might paint a more positive picture of British speedway... Especially with the likes of Doyle still in the league... Sitting in the second tier winning every year won't be doing much... Birmingham in the NL was getting a bit bad... I'm glad they moved up... Onto bigger things as a club... If these big names like it, at least they might persuade their u-21 countrymen to come over here... Young foreign talents are always exciting to watch... Pawel Przedpelski would have been great in this country if he was persuaded to stay after his pile up... Riding difficult uk track would be a massive step in their careers and I'm surprised more don't do it...
