Keep the faith Bandits fans, we overturned a 28 point deficit last season over a very strong Edinburgh team, get behind your boys from the start and cheer them on , miracles do happen to the underdogs we proved that last year4 points

Bunch of whinging fans ....3rd in the league and getting good racing ..... what do you want??3 points

That maybe the case but it’s not all Danny’s fault, Bjerre and Jorgensen have massively under achieved this season. 5 points off Jorgensen last night is pathetic for a heat leader.3 points

The Pairs is already down to be held at Stoke, and now they have the Fours too. So instead of neutral venues, Stoke now have the advantage in both. The change will have appeased Cradley who can now have their full top four with Max Clegg now available. But the new Stoke date clashes with the Berwick v Leicester Championship match which means that Belle Vue and Leicester now both lose their No.1 rider with Leon Flint and Ellis Perks now unavailable. That's two of the stronger teams and two of the league's drawcard riders now out of the running. Basically they've took a problem of Clegg and Phillips being missing and swapped it for a bigger problem of having Perks & Flint missing, a non-neutral track, a poorer venue, and the loss of a Sunday raceday. Only way to make it a bigger farce would be to change the rules and let Belle Vue and Leicester have a guest for Flint & Perks.3 points

Well that was hugely entertaining! Big, big congratulations to the people who prepared such a wonderful track with all the rain we've had here recently. Marvelous result from Wright, and some great action from Paco, Nicol (the kid is positively mad, can we have more of him if opportunity arises?), and Shanes. Coles and Aarnio also showed great commitment. After Heat 1 I was worried that Worrall would remain unbeaten all night... But then Paco happened! The guests have still definitely offered some good racing. This was a great advertisement for Brummie speedway. Well done everyone!3 points

No idea, but just send out the two riders that you want and make sure at tapes that the ref spots the change, then it's up to him to to find out why he wasn't informed.2 points

Added to that, I'd seen 15 heats, stood in the emptied stand for the victory parade, walked to the car and driven home 10 miles to the other side of Peterborough and was out walking the dog at 9.30pm. You can certainly compare that to Monday2 points

You kind of get the feeling that by the time we get our preferred 1-7 in place it’ll be too late in the season to achieve anything. Proctor and Slambert have to be gone for the next meeting.2 points

Great effort to not only secure the win but send the Stars home pointless. That took some spirit and battling qualities2 points

What on earth was the Lynn manager doing not giving Kerr 7 rides and then I can’t believe the worst gates were chosen in heat 15!! Lawson again showing he is capable especially at home of getting double figure scores every meeting Kennett will hopefully get better I will take 7 from Harris most home meetings KP did ok but needs to finish all races Danny not at his best Howarth was poor only beat Lambert and MPT Cam started slow but came good We massively miss Jake but we still picking up wins and points2 points

Proctor needs to go cost us big time tonight and not the first time this season.2 points

In fairness Perks scored 5, would say he did his job. Starke isn’t the rider we should look to keep.2 points

And who for Lambert? Personally i would go for Riss back for Proctor and Douglas for Lambert. That fit after Mondays match, but i suppose it can all depend on how the averages change after tonight which is our last one before the cut off date.2 points

Yep fixed race nights not helping and junk fixture list. Teams need to be at home once a fortnight minimum, spend May with warm up matches/challenges, get the actual league fixtures run through June/Jul & early August. Then its play off time, KO cups August & September then season over an no freezing boots off at meaningless end of season meetings.2 points
-
and what would the pay structure be? How many meetings a week would take place? I personally think 1 league would be a disaster but equally if clubs keep folding there may only be enough teams left for one league.2 points
-
Yes but how does that help with the summer question of whether to go flip flops or venture into the murky world of sliders?2 points

Rebels lost this because they choose their normal high gearing to start the meeting. With the track much grippier than normal the Lions were out the traps & gone! Rory is a very experienced rider & should have been on the case however Bomber is class in such conditions.2 points

Well done British Speedway, having not seen a meeting all season due to all the London tracks, Arena Essex and Rye House all no longer having racing I had finally decided to go to Kings Lynn for the NL Fours. Advance train ticket and hotel booked only for the date and track to be changed! This is not the first time this has happened to me but it is the last given that the reason for moving the meeting is riders not being available but on the new date other teams will have riders who are not available. I wonder if it depends on which team is missing riders as to how important it is considered? EDIT:- BSPA website has information on a contact if you are in my situation which is very fair. I am glad to say that I had already persuaded the hotel to refund and by a piece of very good luck a friend is spending the weekend with family in Kings Lynn that weekend and was moaning about the cost of rail tickets. My advance ticket was a lot cheaper than he had found so he has now got my ticket and we are both happy. Well done the organisers for thinking about the effects of the change they have made.2 points

Got to go with 1 league now if we want speedway to continue in Britain2 points

At the moment I'd say none, apart from one league maybe, without regular meetings I'd think people get out of the habit of going, lose interest and find other things to do. Second half of June and Redcar have had no league matches, not good is it.2 points

Yes, both fit. And Douglas would put Rasmus at reserve. Douglas would be a good signing.2 points

That tonight for me was one of the most enjoyable meetings ive seen at Perry Barr in some time, absolutely fair to both teams for entertainment that was served up. Its easy for people to just not bother coming when they see half a Brummies side but really you missed a really good match and full commitment from our guest riders. The track was superb after all the rain we have had, in the past 9 days or so, so credit to the track staff, very quick race times proved that. Charles Wright showed why hes one of the best riders in the league and credit to him for his efforts, scored what Ellis would have. Connor Coles battled and did a solid job, 2 pts when hes a 2pt rider is job done. The performance from Broc Nichol was something else!, absolutely fully committed to an extent wheres hes bouncing off the fence in one race. A joy to watch and he for me he is the type of rider you pay £16.50 every week to watch. Shame he isnt a Brummies rider.. Considering Shanes had a big crash at the weekend as well, he more than did a good job. Its just a pity he cant gate well otherwise he would be a top rider at this level, he has the effort and speed. I don't think Castagna will be push over in the main body, not at home anyway. Its amazing we have Ashley Morris now at reserve (when fit) when you consider he beat Danny King and Kyle Howarth last match and his scores in recent meetings for us, strength in depth! Newcastle are not a bad side, a few of their riders such as Bjerre and Jorgensen didnt have a great night overall but Worrall and Weathers did. Clegg came alive after 2 poor rides but the Diamonds struggled at reserve. Safe journey to the fans that made the trip. Hope Rerun Productions/SpeedwayGB upload a few clips from this meeting preferably Heat 6 and/or Heat 12.2 points

A strong reserve gains you so much more. Don’t get me wrong I think Rasser can do a job in the top 5 but let’s say we keep Starke, Bellego struggles...only Starke & Perks can take one of his rides. Have Rasser there & I think we have the extra power needed. I would prefer we use the extra point for a better reserve than Starke. How many meetings this season have we had an advantage in heat 1 only to have that go against us in heat 2....2 points

Update and hopefully positive news via Facebook Just an update on Sam we are pleased to say he has opened his eyes this afternoon on and off although he can't focus or track anyone when they talk to him. We can only hope this can improve .2 points

Ove Fundin in to replace Kildemand ( too wimpish ) and Michael Lee allowed to come in at reserve ( reduced average due to injuries ). Passed on to me by ZR.2 points

Anyone believe that a whole £1 (c. 6%) off admission is likely to have any effect on the attendance? I recall Eastbourne being hauled up for knocking 50% off the admission price for a previous visit of Scunny when the visitors complained ! Not sure how I spent that 50p! Great that I'll have double that this time to invest elewhere, but will Will Rob G take this as another insult re his teams likely performance? Surely their score won't be lower than Berwick's…1 point

They did indeed - at heat 11 I wasnt confident of the win let alone stretching it out to 8 Lewi Kerr inpressive - made the most of conditions being right for him Not the best from a racing spectacle but a close score in a local derby and a nail biting finish made it a decent meeting1 point

That's it then if Buster buys Poole and gets Sheffield included ( and "promotes" them ) he almost has enough for the 2020 Premier League on TV ( never boring ). Wolverhampton will go on regardless it seems but Belle Vue are shaky. Very nearly enough to fulfil the Grand Design of Mr Chapman. In fact if BV pulled out and Buster could buy Leicester ( and promote them, of course, he could because it would be his league! ) it would cut down on travelling costs, especially if Swindon hang on in there it's a nice Midlands-ish map. Coming soon to a country near you! Rider control and costs in one Iron Fist.1 point

lets be honest Danny Phillips will never be or has been any good, only got a job because his dad bought into the club.1 point

Brummie Kev is spot on with his summary from last night's meeting! Have to echo his sentiments re: Broc Nicol....what a rider....pushes the bike and the track to the limits! Paco rightly pulled for moving at the start (twice) so why wasn't Worrall in Heat 11 ??? inconsistent refereeing yet again! can't get something as simple as that right!? I'm just glad it didn't affect the overall outcome of the meeting. Not sure about the crowd level.....but thank the '4' Newcastle fans that turned up ! Hope you had a safe journey home Ok, so that's 4 wins on the spin at home....this time with only 3 of our own riders....so, are all you Championship Elite still looking forward to visiting the so called basement boys at Perry Barr ? I very much doubt it ??? Just on the point about Shansey's gating ? in his programme notes he mentions a debilitating injury to his thumb, which affects his starts.....but he hopes this will heal in time? Also, compliments to the track team, they really turned things around from the last meeting and delivered a 'proper' surface for racing! Just a shame that some of our riders have requested a slick surface ??? (again...from Shanes programme notes)1 point
