Bit harsh. TNT suffered a stroke earlier this year and was quite ill for some time. He is better now but as anyone who has either experienced or knows someone who has suffered a stroke, it's effects live on. We didn't always agree (then again we often did) but he is a genuinely nice person to know and a long term keen speedway fan.8 points

Thank you Richard for your words of support. The handicap and the gate change rules only apply to the NT competition, not the league, and were agreed by all three participating clubs as a way of creating something a little different. No rider will be left out of his/her nominated race, it is not a tactical substitution but a means of trying to do things differently. As you may know the IOW have held handicap races for a number of years and this season we tried 6 riders in the final for the first time so we keep innovating. Some things work and some don't but unless you try, you will never know.3 points

Hate to say it but our top league will miss Poole , and i hope they do well and maybe get more stability and rejoin again in 2021.3 points

Yes Steve, we know you said "Riders generally do improve when they move away from Poole" Definition of generally "in most cases; usually." You then go on to admit you don't actually know. So what can be established is... 1: You don't understand the English language. 2: You don't even know if what you have been banging on about is actually correct.3 points

Great go back then, your latest post tells you everything you create nastiness.Look just comment on your club but don't make out you are the spokesman of the club because you are not far from it you drag the club down.2 points

Steve0 is welcome to do a few as he made no statement to back up. Why should he back up YOUR statement? If you can't do it, no one else can! All I said was young riders will improve wherever they are. Doesn't matter if they are at Ipswich or BV. Attack me all you like but it doesn't change the fact that you can't back up YOUR own statement. Which is still incorrect btw. Oh, and you are either wrong or you don't know what generally means. Which is it?2 points

When will this topic be moved (or merged) with the Championship. Poole supporters need to realise that they are no longer in the top league! Perhaps the reality is that without the demotion there may not be any speedway in Poole, so they are a very welcome addition to the Championship.2 points

I think the team looks great? Can't understand the negative comments at all? Solid top 4, Sheldon and Aaron should grow well, just look forward to seeing who the final signing is... Might not be title winners, but still a good team, will make my way back down again this season for sure2 points

Sandor LevaI remained in England until 1989 when he sold his business and returned to Hungary. He died there in 2009.2 points

I didn't know about the stroke, so I apologise for the original comment and wish him the very best for the future.2 points

Please don't stoop to his level of personal insults!! He clearly has some sort of big bag of King Edwards on his shoulder about me, other Poole fans and all things to do with Poole!!2 points

I have asked Wroclaw on Facebook(in English) and as one would expect from a Polish Speedway club, a really quick answer(in English) " not sooner than January" (i am assuming at the earliest)2 points

I spoke to him once at Swindon and he autographed both my lads books and was a really nice bloke. He was rushing off to another meeting as well but the funny thing was i know they had there little skirmish but Greg Hancock was exactly the same a really nice guy time to speak and had real time for the supporters.2 points

That's going to be hard when the Devils will be racing on a Friday night. It will be rare that Glasgow are not at home if Monarchs ain't. A Saturday afternoon outwith the football season might attract fans from both. It would also be better for the visiting teams, who may well contain schoolboys. But no doubt planning restriction mean that's not an option anymore.2 points

All you had to do was clarify you meant 'some' riders.. debate over. You're right then. But that would mean admitting you made a mistake in your opening post.....2 points

It's already been said that Claus Vissing is our number one, so the "big-hitter" isn't gonna happen. And with 12.12 pts left it probably wouldn't happen anyway as Connor Mountain is at reserve on a 4.61 average. That leaves a 5ish and a 6+.1 point

I have been in southern Europe for 6 weeks enjoying the beautiful countries of Italy, Croatia, Spain and Portugal. Not missed much here with the usual bickering and nastiness.1 point

Could this have been Max Rech who was Polish and rode for Fleetwood and St Austell in the early 1950's. I read somewhere that he settled in England after retiring from speedway.1 point

Ablitt quit mid season / Wood didnt turn out for one team but did another. Massive difference. And you only have to talk to Kent Fans, there is a massive list of things he has done to upset people, which is why is he is so universally disliked at CP.1 point

Len’s used the Rye House Raiders to promote many riders into the rockets so he is likely to want his own assets and a young team with winning not being the be all and end all.1 point

Just realised the Early May Bank Holiday here in the UK has changed and is actually on the Friday May 8th so Day 1 is actually on the Bank holiday!1 point

Validate your argument please, how is this a poor side solid heat leaders one very solid second string so far and 2 reserves who should improve and with 3.13 left someone who could interchange with the reserves if needed I totally do not get your argument in my opinion you have just put out a sweeping statement to get a reaction from people like me.1 point

Top 4 for me looks like.....redcar,leicester,glagow and poole (bound to be strong). But I also think Kent will surprise a lot of people.1 point

I think Knight would be a very good signing but if he does not have equipment it would be very expensive for him or the Kent management to get set up especially as there are so few NL meetings next season, so cannot see that happening, also Kent tried to sign him to replace Bowen when he got injured and a deal could not be reached then so I guess the same can be said now.1 point

I for one wished he had sign for Lynn. He's a tremendous signing for any club... Love him or hate him, you can be sure he will add a lot of interest and excitement.......1 point

Unfortunately I do agree but any of the youngsters wanting to be professional riders have to go through the hard yards of running up and down the country for little or no reward. There are scores of riders doing it already in the junior leagues and amateur meetings and for second half’s. I do believe there is a mind set that riders believe they have made it once they get to the NDL and should earn a living . Unfortunately the reality is something very different it’s the first real step on a very greasy steep ladder1 point

Fellow poole fans. We race in the championship now. This is the wrong thread. Good luck to all 7 premiership sides.1 point

This is what people don’t get about Lynn signing Proctor. Don’t get me wrong he could be a poor signing but just because he had a bad 2019 doesn’t mean he won’t be a good reserve this coming season.1 point

Don't think it would work. Ultimately riders go where the best money is so essentially forcing people to go to certain teams will only end in tears. We have seen versions of this in the past and all it did was force better riders out of the league.1 point
