Didn’t think there would ever be a more mind numbing thread on this forum than gavan arguing with poole fans but some how this one has managed it5 points

Reading these posts has left me under no doubt that this Speedster15 is the original Pboro loon that came out years ago . The one who posted about having a Bjerre poster on his wall, a huge Sundstrom fan etc? Has to be.4 points

I never saw this as a bargain signing at all, a huge underachiever who does not come cheap Brum will be better off in the longterm.4 points

The best way to have sorted this out is to have banned the bb holders who were abusive to staff, NOT everyone who as a blue badge ? But the management know better NOT......4 points

It's a balancing act. If you close schools then people have to take time off work which hurts the economy and people who work in healthcare are not available at a time when the health service needs them most. Given that we are 4 weeks behind Italy we have a nice little case study we can follow. If our infections rates continue at the same rate as Italy's were 4 weeks ago then we know we have to take decisive action and the timings of Italy's actions show us when we should take certain steps. As it stands our infection rate is growing at around 20%, whereas Italy's was 35% before they announced their effective shutdown, which suggests we are no where near in as bad a state as they were.2 points

He won’t reveal his identity because of how he acted on here during the last ten years. Not just just his recent pathetic posts. Isn’t it ironic about the BB holders and such , when this guy is probably the most disabled out of everyone???2 points

If the government ban gatherings of more than 500 people most domestic speedway meetings should be unaffected.2 points

Typical politically motivated rant. One minute the loons are screaming he doesn't take it seriously, he should be locking things down blah blah.. He does what they want.. they scream he's over reacting.2 points

Seems like a bit of a Jonasson free for all on here, not his fault he’s been mucked about and I think he’d have been a decent signing without setting the world alight. His exclusion certainly weakens Brum.2 points

I’ve been hearing this about him for years including his various spells in the top flight. Always appears to be on a bargain low average. The reality is that it isn’t a bargain at all as he has been hugely overrated for a huge chunk of his career. At championship level you would expect his average to be much higher but the truth is because of his general lack of interest in riding in the UK I’d say that is mostly his level these days.2 points

He must have learnt from Mike Parker who loved throwing the press out of his Stock Car meetings. Reason I know that is that at one Crayford meeting he threw me out three times before start time and I still saw the whole meeting thanks to his staff letting me back in each time. He would have been even more annoyed to find that I was being let in for free every week!1 point

How would you make the stadium financially viable without Greyhounds ? the bottom line even if you think Greyhound racing is cruel and wrong without it Speedway won't be able to run and at a lot of tracks . Quite clearly you must a viable business plan on how Speedway tracks stay open without Greyhounds .1 point

He definitely isn't in the know, as he claims to be. He won't get any respect until he reveals who he is, in my opinion.1 point

https://www.edinburghmonarchs.co.uk/news-centre/article/2020-03-11/monarchs-engage-with-edinburgh-city-plan-2030 If anyone fancies helping the club finding a permanent home that will see the monarchs have a long term future can they click the link above and show your support to have another purpose built stadium in the UK. can only be a good thing for the sport in the UK if we can get enough support.1 point

Having reflected over-night....I think that VG will have more desire to prove that he's capable, as opposed to a 'has-been' ? Obviously a massive skill difference, but us Brummies love a trier and I hope VG gives us his all, at the very least!? Did he quit mid-season last year, or was he pushed? that will tell us a lot about the man?1 point

I saw him ride for King's Lynn at Swindon a few years ago way overweight and he was woeful.Even at Champs level for me never good anough now to be a reliable third heat leader.1 point

My post on February 19th read: ‘I had a discussion with one of the management team from Peterborough Speedway today. I have been advised that there will be no change to the new arrangements outlined in the Club press release of 28th January (http://www.peterborough-speedway.com/news.php?extend.3747). Thank you to all who signed...’ I don't see how that could be any clearer. If the Club press release is 'neither clear or has good reasoning' that's something to take up with them, not me. You are missing nothing, I am still dissatisfied with the situation but as it was made clear that the decision would not be changed, despite the management being fully aware of the petition's existence and the 180+ signatures, the petition was closed. I assume you meant me rather than NKI..... The new arrangements would affect me greatly if I were permitted to attend meetings at the Showground and I know of a good number of others that will be prevented from attending by the change. My approach to the issue didn't demand the new policy be dropped, but simply asked for alternative arrangements to be put in place to recognise the particular needs of disabled fans and Blue Badge holders. Despite the numbers that supported the petition, and the very personal and moving statements made by a number of fans, it seems that won't be the case. I would add that I don't believe that the Club would be so unprofessional as to condone 'Speedster15' posting on here ostensibly on their behalf, and wonder if they in fact know that it is going on.1 point

It's highly probably that thousands of us have got it or already had it. Let's face it, if you have a bit of a cough and a mild cold do you rush to your doctor? No. If you called the dedicated lines in England with mild symptoms, you are told to stay at home, you aren't tested. The only country that has adopted a thorough testing process is South Korea. They've tested 140,000 so far and as a result the death rate works out at 0.76% there. Even then they haven't tested everyone as mentioned above, many with the milder symptoms won't get tested, so the actual death rate will be lower.1 point

I thought this one of the better, more informative articles I have read on the subject. Not necessarily what we want to hear but seems like a realistic scenario.1 point

Agree. Swedish Fixtures moved, that's his homeland and main income stream, no brainer. Unfortunate for us and happened at a time with very little options available, especially when we don't have access to a work permit. I remember seeing Grobhauer at Somerset, he looked OK and he seems to have become homesick and left at a time when he was starting to show some form. Lets get behind the lad, it is still a very solid 1-7.1 point

Belle Vue National Stadium run the No Limits training days, but I've always thought the NSS track is too big to learn on. You need to learn to turn a bike somewhere very tight like Buxton, Scunny training track, or the old Sheffield training track. A training track in South Lancashire close to Manchester might prove complementary to the NSS1 point
