Congratulations to Poole on clinching the title well deserved.5 points

This is it then folks, again a safe, enjoyable meeting to you all and good luck to both teams but an extra sprinkle for the Tigers5 points

Perhaps they support championship speedway when the riders aren’t being promised inflated pay5 points

Congratulations to Poole. Some of their fans will be unbearable now. So no change there.....4 points

Well first of all, commiserations to all the Glasgow fans who made the very long trip down to Poole today. 460 miles is a long long trip, as I discovered 48 hours ago! You bunch on the first bend supported your team all the way. Proper speedway fans. I hope the miles wiz by on your return tomorrow. Now I was confident we would pull back the ten points after the first leg, and so it proved. Pirates on it from heat one and half way through the meeting it was all tied up. Couldn’t see where Glasgow would get the heat advantages from and even the ref, Dave Watters, helping Glasgow in heat 13 by awarding Cook and outrageous 2nd wouldn’t be enough. Poole double winners 2021. Fully deserved. Celebrations and fireworks, and long goodbyes in the clubhouse afterwards. All riders telling how they absolutely want to be back, except of course Rory who read out his King Henry the 5th rallying post he made in the Poole rider group yesterday. Seems so strange he is ending his career when he still has plenty in the tank. But the decision has been made to call time and everyone respects that. We hope in a couple of years time when he is sitting at home in Aus, he doesn’t get the yearning to return. Tough decisions coming for the Poole promotion. Who to keep, who to say goodbye to. Who would want that job? After being brought up on top flight speedway, I was dubious about dropping a league. Reality is that it’s better. Virtually the same riders and more teams. What’s not to like? Roll in 2022 and let’s do it all again! Here’s the end of heat 13. Who thinks Craig Cook got up to second?3 points

One off many this season, I had no hopes of winning it tonight too many inconsistent performances all season and tonight was no different. A jolly boys to Tenerife on Sunday is softening the blow.3 points

Well done to Poole for finishing top of the league and winning the play-offs3 points

Wasn't trying to "impress" anyone. I was only saying what I knew to be true. As far as teams/leagues for 2022 I really couldn't give a flying $hite. I had never been to a speedway meeting until Dan started racing, then again I had never been to a MX meeting until young Bewley started riding KTM autos when he was six yrs old. There really are some bitter individuals who think if they don't know something nobody else could possibly know.3 points

Commiserations to Glasgow but you did have an excellent group of supporters on Bend 1 who seemed to be enjoying themselves. Safe trip back home.2 points

But Poole chose 2 and 4, so if Glasgow wanted 1 and 3, doesn't make a difference!2 points

I'll leave it at that. Well done to the pirates, good season for the Tigers far better than I expected given the team start of season. See you all in the spring2 points

Again, it's my opinion. I've told you it, no need to be rude about it. I have been willing to accept I'm wrong, you're attitude that you can't possibly wrong I'm sorry it's quite frankly outrageous2 points

And yet he rode like a heat leader first half of the season, an out and out racer that could often overtake anybody with ease, he was even gating well, but later on this season his form dipped as soon as the wetter colder weather came in and tracks became slicker and he couldn't pass. Still reckon he'll improve again next season, be more consistent, and edge it to be a heat leader.2 points

It does count towards the average, but the rider average is the average per ride multiplied by 4.2 points

Just like to wish the Roo Boy all the best in his last meeting in the UK. A credit to his sport and was always interested in helping the young GB riders. wouldn’t begrudge him a league title.2 points

It will be golden heats. Nominated riders. First team to record a heat advantage wins so, for example, a 4-2 to either team in heat 16/31 would be enough to take the title. If heat 16/31 was a 3-3 then on to heat 17/32 with different nominated riders looking for a heat advantage to win the meeting.2 points

I think that’s a bit unfair on Newcastle the biggest problem they had was large unknown tax bill from the previous promotion, they wanted to start a new company when they took over so they had no come back from the previous promotion but the BSPA Bodies persuaded them it was in their best interests to keep the existing company for voting rights etc.2 points

We have figures. Whether we believe them is a separate matter. Yes there was dual blame - fixed race nights but also a failure to respond by switching to the CL. There are other matters involving expected finance from the Sky deal that didn't materialise is another aspect to be considered ion what is a highly complex case. Yes, too few people turnedv up - for Premiership racing. Championship or NDL would probably have been a different story. If only all problems had such easy answers as offered up by ianb. Thankfully that is in the past and we can now repair the damage and return to speedway at Rye House. The situation is changing daily. I look forward to resuming our battles with Oxford, Eastbourne, Mildenhall, and hopefully also Kent and the new track hinted at in today's Speedway Star. Within a year or two the currently depressing situation in the South East could be transformed. Keep the faith and learn from Oxford! Regards, Rob.2 points

No Members of bspa turned up at Peterborough to present the trophy, so would not expect them to be at Poole never mind provide medals, in 2018 Workington management had to provide medals for both teams in the 3 finals. Also no members of the bspa were at the SON at belle Vue in an official capacity, seams like they don't care anymore, or have they ever cared !!!2 points

We're did you get this information because as far as I understand it Oxford wanted premiership but application blocked by the clubs in it . Mr Godfrey dose not make the decisions as it's a board of members he's just the one who announces them and takes the flack for it. Think those that think it's a one man dictatorship need to give their heads a wobble and find another agenda2 points

Any team that wants to hit the ground running should have taken choice of gates in first heat. Some odd decisions by team manager too.1 point

A meeting crucial to the future of Birmingham Speedway has been called for Tuesday 16th November at Aston Manor Cricket Club, Church Road, Perry Barr, starting at 7pm, where the leader of the consortium prepared to take over the promotion of the club, will outline their plans and will answer questions. All speedway supporters (whether those who support the Brummies or any other club) are invited to attend.1 point

Classic! I still cannot understand the farce that is the governance of our sport. No active promoter should be anywhere near the management committee or decision making for our sport. It's an utter disgrace. I for one am delighted to see Oxford return, not only is it a returning track but it will turn out to be my local one too! I hope they go championship so I can see the Gladiators there!1 point

That argument is all well and good - some criticism aimed at me from certain people because I don’t attend on a regular basis . But you wouldn’t go in a restaurant and eat a meal every week if the meal wasnt hot or cooked properly- and someone on the next table shouts use it or lose the restaurant- so why would I attend each meeting if I’m not happy with what’s on show ? The bit British speedway fails to sort out is why people don’t attend each meeting or have stopped going altogether the powers at be seem uninterested on that group of people they should be asking why they’ve stopped going and try to change things .1 point
