Good to have josh back, hopefully can kick on again this year and try cover Sams absence. Cracking idea with the advent Calendar something a bit different to keep fans engaged over the Christmas period.5 points

You obviously haven’t seen him at foxhall. Always looking for his partner on the first turn and throughout the race. we won many last heat deciders and superheats because of him helping his partner.5 points

Doyle in heat 2,,,,,,,how have we managed to get him at reserve,,, not even matt Ford could have pulled that move off5 points

Wasn't there rumour cookie was going to Redcar, then once Edinburgh knew they were running they obviously would want him knowing masters was wanting to be closer to home. Not saying who promotion talking about but not dissimilar average to riss2 points

Or as a chap at Edinburgh said about Scott Smith 'Spurts of speed in random directions'.2 points

Newbies probably have no idea of team strengths so a lower points limit means nothing to them. It's the fans who pick & choose their matches who are likely to attend less2 points

He was decent along with Heeps at reserve,,, since then neither have carried on improving,,, both riders have have since regressed.2 points

I love him,, would be the first name on my team sheet on that average,,,,out of the three mentioned,,, he should be the one to average improve more than the other 2. The problem is,,, would he be given a number 2 slot,,, let's be honest, he probably needs a bit of love and attention to bring the best out of him,,, but it looked like they protected Danny last season.2 points

6.24 home, 4.00 away. But I guess it's easier to slag off riders if you make up the stats!1 point

The whole 'assets things' probably doesn't hold much water, but a suppose it makes things 'look' a bit official?1 point

Decent team especially with the HL trio who will score at all tracks. Normally that would mean a weak back end but not in this case. Hume is good value for his average, and it could be helpful his relationship with Danny K from Ipswich. Shanes should do OK especially on big tracks and the home track, whilst Edwards is a known quantity and is on a upward path. Don't understand the criticism about Mulford as, with me following the Colts last year, I know he has fast engines, rides big tracks well and after say a poor first ride on small tracks he will turn it around and finish well. Decent side and will do well.1 point

He's a danger to himself and other riders on the track imo doesn't have any track craft at all, just hangs on around the outside and hope's to stay on. Poor gater aswell.1 point

Would be interesting to know who they were going to have instead of James Shanes and also who was in before Erik Riss!1 point

Who turned Redcar over at the eleventh hour that's led to Redcar having to settle for James Shanes?1 point

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding you but that is quite disrespectful to those in 2nd-7th. Haven't heard of those from 8th downwards but the top seven are a million miles above amateur level.1 point

If Tate Zischke doesn't finish in top 3 of a state championship to qualify for a visa he won’t be going anywhere1 point

Think that might be to much of a gamble, could be no better off than last year tbh.Now it appears Justin Sedgman wont fit,I'd go for Zach Cook, sure he'd adapt quickly to Monmore quite well.1 point

Would never have ANY rider like Batchelor in my team, I have no time for riders who only race when they feel like it, in individuals where your only representing yourself that’s fine, but when your part of a team you shouldn’t do that, you might as well empty your bladder into a team mates fuel tank, because that’s what your effectively doing. Anyone can have a poor night but when it’s so obvious your not even making an effort, your conning the public and the promoter who no doubt has already agreed to pay you X amount regardless of what you actually score.1 point

Tbh I have no problem with batch at all. I find him frustrating, he can be so so good and so so poor and it’s extra frustrating when he is poor knowing how good he can be! would he be one of the first names on wish list no not necessarily, that said don’t really feel it was altogether fair on him this year, he was exposed at 5, not like he’d come to us on 8+ and lost 3 points like before… if he fits into the side as the 4th/5th average and his responsibility was as a second string happily have him back, all depends where he fits into the team, wouldn’t be right to have him back and bung him at 5 hoping he’s going to return to a 2018 troy1 point

A quote by someone clearly not in the know of what is behind the scenes tbh Allen should have maybe not returned from his scaphoid injury last season and given himself more recovery time but when your only income is Speedway then needs must and thats going to affect any riders scoring when carrying or getting over injuries, I guess its quite easy to sit at a keyboard and criticise What is Allen on to start the season 6.80? I think in the Championship he will end up 7.40+ if he gets a premiership slot he starts on a 4.00 and can see him getting into the 5.25+ if starting at reserve, going from what I said previous I think it was Heeps & Rowe in the team with Kemp at no.7 and you had Allen/Heeps & Rowe who all needed to spend time riding at 6 at one point, Heeps & Rowe managed it and despite a strong start to that season Allen then had a poor finish Proof will be in the pudding this season1 point

From been a small lad of 5 or 6 been taken to the Boulevard by my Dad to watch the Hull Vikings and the smell of methanol ,I was instantly hooked . Back then I wanted crashes and spills . Fast forward 50 yrs and sadly losing my Dad in March this year I’m still going to my local track which is now Scunthorpe and follow them up and down the country this season. the last two meetings away to Redcar and then onto Berwick 24 hrs later as a single driver because it’s a sport I love and if we don’t support it we will lose it . Look at the uncertainty at Mildenhall now. we might lose another great club . When I worked in London approx 5 yrs ago I visited Swindon , Ipswich ,Rye House and Poole from my London Digs , Look at that small list and we have lost 50 % of them teams so what I’m trying to say is it’s fine been a supporter on a forum but if we don’t get numbers up we will lose Speedway on mass . I’m not a lover of individual meetings but love the team aspect of Speedway so let’s not knock our sport and get to your local tracks more regularly1 point

Hey you Geordies better be careful you don't upset that tosh1218 by carrying on this chit chat1 point

I feel so sorry for Mildenhall as I enjoy my Sunday afternoons at West Row. I agree with your comment about taking 2-hours plus for roughly 15-minutes racing, but that applies at almost every track. But on the flip side of the coin mate, would the public be prepared to pay their money to travel goodness knows how many miles and hours to be at a venue for around an hour. Buxton were a class act at getting meetings done and dusted in a reasonable time. I really don't know what the answer is, but I just hope somebody comes up with one for the sport in general, because it's dying in front of our eyes.1 point

In Logans run when a person reached the age of 21 they were willingly executed via a pleasure-inducing toxic gas. Guess speedway folk would recognise that as the aroma of burning Castrol R401 point

It would be unfair because they have already earned those points by completing the qualifying heats. Thats how the scoring system works. Replacing a semi-finalist with the ninth placed finisher would mean actually taking points AWAY from an injured rider. It’s a completely different matter if he hasn’t already scored the points before the qualifying heats have finished.1 point
