So he can get a Premiership place but not a Championship place?! He clearly needs a middle tier spot, rather than NL, for his overall development but that’s British Speedway all over!4 points

They stopped doing stats in the Peterborough Programme a few years ago and as for the reading content thats something I have suggested for years but it’s in short supply. At £3.00 I just don’t think they are worth buying, I do get a copy with my ST but if they didn’t I doubt I would buy one.3 points

Marcin Nowak will be on the inside. He’ll be the only one, but you’ll want to get out of the way fast when he appears!3 points

Dont see why Peterborough dont just bide there time and see what happens with rider availability in the new year with the last two riders , there maybe someone who could change there mind and want to ride in the Uk that fits the jigsaw , ok it could be a gamble but it could be a gamble that has very good results.3 points

Exciting watch there will be plenty room on the inside of the track they'll only need to grade a metre from the fence lol3 points

I didn't know that either but after you said, I found this. https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/speedway/mayor-rugby-tony-gillias-gets-72073243 points

Richie Worrall actually won more races around Peterborough last season in three meetings than Andersen won all season. Worrall scored 9+1, 8+1 & 8+1 in those meetings. For me Andersen would be a very very lucky man if he gets a job in the premier League and a poor signing for panthers in what looks a strong side.2 points

That is because fans automatically compare it to last year's team (been guilty of it myself!) whereas you need to compare it to other teams. I guess, but he might know all of that anyway.2 points

You always seem to hear noises, most of them are just in your head though.2 points

Not a convincing signing, but no doubt be on some good equipment this year.Jury is out on this team for me,but it will be an exciting watch. Definitely need Vissing on his 5 average and to score big.2 points

The minimum average in theory prevents teams from using a complete no-hoper on a 0.5 average and only giving him three rides a meeting while building stronger with the other six. Teams don’t need a leg up by being allowed to sign the best rider in the league on an average that’s been discounted by almost a point-and-a-half.2 points

I don't think Ipswich can afford to lose out on Worrall,,,,, cos once he has gone,, not many riders left to fill the void,,, and we could well be putting a team out 3 points under limit,,,,it seems like every season we struggle to finish our teams off decently,, they may be forced to get someone like Zagar and pay way over the odds1 point

That’s how I see it. Made by speedway folk for speedway folk, it’s got a family feel to it.1 point

Doubt it, would seem like undermining complin if say thanks mate but you were our second choice. Sports propaganda will say he was always our first choice and isn't he great1 point

Got to wonder when the deal for Compton was done? Has he been a quick replacement for Tate? Manse was sure Complin wouldn't be riding for Glasgow. From the reports of his injuries I doubt Tate will be riding anywhere n the next 12 months.1 point

Change of subject...in a recent edition of the Star, a feature on a streaming service noted that Dave Lanning was the first voice of speedway. I say that Alan Weeks was in fact the first voice of speedway. Admittedly he didn't commentate on anything like the same number of meetings that Messrs Lanning and Pearson did etc, but during what speedway there was during the 60's, he was the voice.1 point

If we are in a battle for Worrall,,, then we arnt after a big hitter,,, the maths says so1 point

Could be right but Belle Vue weren’t that hot away from home last year and they did ok in the end. An unblemished home record goes a long way to getting you in to the playoffs….1 point

Holder had a good year in Poland (averaged more than Bewley, Woffinden, his brother). I don’t think we’ll ever see him trouble the sharp end of the GPs again but he’d be a class act in the Premiership. Especially looking at the other heatleaders he’d be coming up against.1 point

Yes and I only stuck it for less than half a season before it bored me rigid !!! we spent the rest of that season going around the country watching former Brummies favourites racing for there new teams.1 point

I’m looking forward, not back. What is it they say? Past performance is no indication of future results?1 point

Arguably scaling back is precisely what the sport needs to then grow once more. The top tier clings on to delusions that all the GP riders will come back one day while every man and his dog is allowed to double up so they don’t have to stretch themselves trying to get a ride abroad because they can meander around the UK leagues, pay the mortgage off and not have to get a proper job.1 point

Yes he was a Coventry Junior (used to wear those Honda leathers I recall) and rode for Scunthorpe during the middle seventies.1 point

Think it is better to have electric speedway, than no speedway at all Quite honestly, as long as the racing is close i couldn't care less what is powering the bikes1 point
