This is the worst season ever for continuity in fixtures, breaks of between 3 and 5 weeks for home fixtures is not good enough, feels like the close season already and who said yes to away to Edinburgh on the Friday and then away to Plymouth on the Saturday and it isn't Plymouth's normal race day, how come some teams managed a little Southern/ Northern tour and we get that kind of s**t. If next season is not better co-ordinated then I can see speedway going down the toilet as we will lose fans in droves as they find something else to do, in fact it has already started if you go by recent crowd numbers. Rant over, just missing live speedway !!

If Australia are desperate for 7 points, why isn't Pearson on the best gate (4)? Guaranteeing Rew wins the heat isn't what they need. Same scenario with Sweden putting their top rider on 4, when they really need them both out front.

You would never see riders in this state in a league meeting, these lads deserve a very big applause they are not giving up. Crashes are not what you want to see yet these lads show no fear. Fingers crossed that they are not hurt.

It is a serious issue not sure if some Promotions see it that way.There needs to be serious restructuring of fixtures ,missing the best summer months( weather or not) to suit some riders or other reasons is killing the sport.

Spot on I forgot about the Berwick meeting 2 weeks ago or was it 3 might have been 4 but I am at the stage now I am not fussed about whether I go now or not and I always looked forward to my WEEKLY speedway night.

A good meeting and thanks to the track staff and riders who made it happen. It is a joy to watch riders of this calibre to see what may be the future rather than a GP with those who have made it. This is what the sport is all about and if only league racing could engender the same level of enthusiasm. It does demonstrate the importance of track time and second half racing for the up and coming talent.

Delighted to report that Tate Zischke was released from hospital today and will be at the track tonight to support Team Australia.

Seems very nice guy and very articulate .Nice to see him so chirpy considering what has happened.Wish him all the best.

I am sure that the pricing structure was in part dictated by Discovery+ and the requirements of putting on the meeting for TV audience which in all fairness is limited because it is not on the main Eurosport channel but a subsidiary. If as reported it has cost the NSS circa £500k to put on these meetings the maths dictates what needs to be charged. A shame really but with no major sponsors underwriting the meeting it is what it is. U K speedway simply cannot afford this type of tournament.

Didn’t watch the last one in Warsaw so can’t see me bothering with this one either, don’t think I will going Cardiff again this year and for for me is the problem, if the pinnacle of the sport in this country can’t attract me to attend then how does it hope to attract anyone else, I am a through and through speedway fan, I live the sport I am the sport and would rather go and watch a championship or premiership meeting, Cardiff should be a blast but it just isn’t anymore and discovery seem so out of touch that I can’t see it changing, the sprint thing is just pathetic as a spectacle

Anders told us on the PotE podcast that he likes it as grippy as possible so I think you're right, and I can't see Cook and Hagon being as comfortable if there is plenty on. If we gate well we'll win comfortably, simple as that really. Brum are poor but Leicester aren't much better IMO.

I remember pre-season many of the Edinburgh Academy riders expecting big things of themselves, I'm sure at least 6 of them were going to become heat leaders, but this comment by Kyren Lyden really takes the cake “If you look at our 1-7 then we have riders all the way that can beat anyone in any opposition.” No offence to the likes of Mark Parker, but do I really believe he can beat Sam Hagon & Joe Thompson for example?

Enjoyed that meeting this evening. Some good racing and great to see Coles attacking the track - let’s see more of that in the Championship. Dayle Wood is a complete enigma - looks classy in some heats and then struggles badly in others. Great return tonight though.

No one is denying that, that's the reason he could sign for Oxford at reserve. If he had got back to his best - then he wouldn't be an option. Don't think they can fit in any new foreigners (minimum 4.00 average). So it's a choice of Roynon, Starke & Pijper. As Starke has scored more than Pijper on a tougher position, he'd be my choice.

That wouldn't be a good idea when everyone can get a r/r ride imo. If Wojdylo goes in heat 1, means one of the top 4 can't get an extra ride. Then if they all ride better than Wojdylo, team manager has messed up.

Not just the pricing structure. Imagine Fifa organising a World Cup without Mbappe and Messi. Imagine F1 organising a Championship without Max and Lewis. Imagine Wimbledon without Djokovic and Nadal. By excluding Artem & Emil from this event, the FIM have shot themselves in the foot.

Why do I read so many comments saying "if the facility for Musielak isn't extended"? When he was first banned for 28 days for "withholding his services" it was stated that the facility would not be extended & he'd have to return or be replaced! That sounds pretty clear cut to me.

At a loose end so had a little look. If all 6 go well we could/should be ok, but i think they will all need to be. When you add up what the 6 could/should score, i can see where we could win it if the tracks to their liking, and there making starts. Something like Kvech 13 (6 rides), NKI 7 (5), BB 8 (5), TB 6 (4), Paddy 10 (5-6), Rowe 4 (3 -4) 48 Your starting to win me over with your confidence Baggy

Not for me, Fricke and Lawson will be a nuisance but I think we'll dominate them at reserve and if the rest ride like they did a couple of weeks ago we'll be fine, might even get the bonus.

IMO the longer it takes to announce the fixtures, the harder it is to convince the fans they are important meetings. If they are treated like low ranking events, why would fans be excited to attend?

In all the 53 years I've been following B'ham, I can't remember the set-up being this damaging! Tolley for his financial backing and Brennan for his performances this season, are the only two credible members of the Club. Lose any of the others that are associated and they wouldn't be missed! First move....get rid of Rogers and Sam.... Needs to happen before the next home match for B'ham to have any chance of surviving this season and beyond!

I will reply, but i'm not getting into a slanging match. I know i will get the usual stick i've had all last season, starting from your first meeting when NP fell, some unfairly imho.. I'm not the most articulate of people by a long shot, but.. Firstly i will apologise for mentioning ALF on the forum. I shouldn't of mentioned that. But i still think it's you Friday is my pub day, and i was a tad pi%%ed and wound up with all the crap Lynn/ Buster is getting of late. Like yourself, i'm passionate about my club. Just a couple of things.I'm pretty sure that Mick Bratley said on here that Buster couldn't rock the boat when the season was running (apologies if i'm wrong).. That might go some way to explaining what he said over the mic( but i don't know). And tbh do you 100%, or anyone else for that matter. Iknow Buster wanted out at the end of last season, and that he doesn't seem to involved with trying to save the club btw. Regarding the fence, lights etc, Bratley also said that" Buster wasn't the bad guy here" regarding them. If he didn't remove them, they would get someone who will, and would bill Buster for it. As for not selling the club (or what's left) to the consortium.. He is going to, but it has been said that they won't buy it yet!! , because they don't have anywhere to race. I know from someone as close as you can get, that Buster thought the club was as good as sold to MT, and he told me he had seen plenty of proof of that. CJ also said they had found land. So to me it looks like MT spouting what seems to have been rubbish, that he either couldn't or wouldn't back up. I know BC isn't perfect by a long way, and i'm certainly not a bloody Ninja. I've given him some stick on here in the past. It's just some things( not all) i think he gets undeserved stick for. Thats all, because we don't want to fill the Lynn thread with PB's problems.
