Having had dealings with the Triggers for a number of seasons and on a weekly basis last season I found them all to be lovely people, Ben is still just a kid , looking to have fun, and occasionally has ‘too much sugar’ but you get that with all kids looking to enjoy life. Where would it be appropriate for former speedway World Champion, Tai Woffinden, to do Community Service in view of his past tendency to use foul language, and what should he be obliged to do?

Ooh this could get really messy, especially if riders are signed and then a switch to a potential north/south split occurs. North - Edinburgh, Workington, Middlesborough, Belle Vue & Scuffield South - Oxford, Leicester, Birmingham, Kent & Plymouth (can't see Kings Lynn bothering if its a 5 way split) North looks ok and would open a path for Glasgow to join 2026 but South would be nervous with 2 only established teams and the others re-joining this year and Plymouths reputation of NL hokey cokey might make future seasons less viable......that said when has Speedway ever planned for the future.

One thing I was always critical about was that season tickets didn't offer value for money. You often only had to miss one meeting for any saving to disappear. But for the past couple of years things have been much better in that regard and think the 2025 one offers some decent value. As someone who attends every home meeting and always buys a programme, a saving of £6.50 makes the risk worthwhile. Add in that it's a team I'm looking forward to watching plus being able to walk straight in without hardly queuing, makes getting one a no brainer for me.

Freddie Hodder won the Stars of Tomorrow competition in September, ahead of competition from the likes of Connor Coles, Jake Mulford, Jody Scott and Acr Pijper. The same Freddie Hodder scored 6+2 while guesting for us at home to Oxford at the tail end of last season. Our top five will throw every single other team in the league around like a wet towel, but make no mistake: the acquisition of Freddie Hodder is a strategic, planned piece of business. The exaggerated focus on our reserves is an attempt to persuade themselves, not us, that everything will be okay.

You shouldn't need to have to keep up with the rules, when Birmingham announced his signing, should have said what average he was on, same as Oxford with Kildemand. Can't think of any reason why they don't!

I certainly wouldn't want to be forced to pay for a programme. Rarely buy them these days as I use an app. Petrol and entrance and drinks are enough for me. Not sure why programmes are sold separately - have them available at the box office then if you are paying by card you only pay once and don't have to worry about cash

I agree he's older than McDiarmid and his record is nothing to shout about, but I believe he's a late convert from motocross so probably has less experince. Also recently third in NSW under 21 State title [14 pts in heats = Tate Zischke] And for the record I haven't started a rumour, merely listed the most likely candidates for the subject of somebody else's rumour. PS I omitted Matt Gilmore as he doesn't appear to be racing.

Dont get too excited too soon, lot of rumours about discontent in this NDL 2 set up . It certainly doesnt make sense geography wise when Workingtons neighbours, Edinburgh , Redcar and Sheff/Scuny dont have to travel to Plymouth , Kent or Kings Lynn in mid week for a meaningless development fixture. Surely a north south split would have been more sensible and might even attract fans to travel.

I can and will accept that im an opinionated so and so and that personality clashes can certainly occur. However i do agree that Ben is just a kid acting like a kid in a grown ups world. There are many younger riders who conduct themselves far more professionally off track. That said i am glad he has secured a place at Leicester and builds on the opportunity.

There’s a reason clubs haven’t touched West, doesn’t come with a good behaviour sheet let’s put it that way.

Averaged 7.11 (1,779) in Denmark in 2024 for Esbjerg, second in their averages. Less than Becker & Holder Snr but more than Blödorn and NKI. From 4 fixtures, averaged 5.26 (1,316) in Elitserien for Vargarna, Less than Douglas & Tungate but more than Milik & Harris. Last appearance in the UK was for Somerset in 2018 in the top tier where he averaged 3.81 from 6 fixtures (2 home, 4 away), plus two appearance in the second tier with Ipswich where he averaged 4.00. Finished 5th in Danish Individual Championship last year, 7th in 2023, 10th in 2022, 7th in 2020. Looks like he'd be a solid #2 but not anymore than that.

That's rubbish. If the Poole reserve rides well enough to outscore (say) Tobias Thomsen -- by no means an impossible target -- he would be retained.

I think official club phone apps are long overdue for people who use their phones quite a bit. You could have a buyable digital version of the programme on there with a scorechart which can be filled in on the night and the news / club info that the website has plus extras for those who are prepared to pay for a premium service.

Indeed, All The Very Best To All In Speedway For 2025. And (don't wanna preach to ya people, no, no, no) but if at all possible: attend your local track, and also others, or subscribe to the BSN or club feed, buy a programme & maybe club merch & also buy the Speedway Star. Discuss, criticise & complain, and also praise, (as we all love to do) by all means but try to support speedway in general. 'East Yorkshire based nutshell': when Hull closed at the Boulevard end of 1981 there were 2 divisions each of 18 teams (36 in total) with prob a few 'inactive but possible to re-open' tracks. End of 2024 we have a total of 16 +/- in the entire country, allbeit with a few 'inactive but possible to re-open', Bradford, Buxton, Coventry (hopefully) & Mildenhall immediately spring to mind. Don't think I need to draw pictures, but try to Support Speedway in 2025....

I cant imagine any "assets" of the Derwent Park promotion were moved on to the Northside revival. Any old assets would have reverted to the BSPL after 2018.

Sure it'll go all season at least with the set up at Iwade. I think every fan of Eastbourne and Kent realises this is a new venture and think it'll enhance the support. Distance maybe a problem for some, me included to go on a regular basis, but as said think spectator numbers will be good enough to make the project successful.
