  2. Believe what you like, but the Poole No.7 has literally signed a contract to ride until the end of June. Please go and ask him if you don't believe me.

  4. Surprised that Berwick Management have not commented on the Rory rumours one way or other.Did he sign for next season and is in the Team.

  5. Have you ever considered the possibility it may just be YOU? Having had dealings with the Triggers for a number of seasons and on a weekly basis last season I found them all to be lovely people, Ben is still just a kid , looking to have fun, and occasionally has ‘too much sugar’ but you get that with all kids looking to enjoy life. Lighten up !

  6. Well someone of that sort of ability indeed! But magic and a little bit of coercion that other Clubs don't posess gets them on a 4 point average to fit in their Poole team!

  7. I think it is safe to say that this is a dilemma he won't need to face ..😁

  8. Nathan's the lad who, at the end of 2023, chose not to travel up to Armadale for the final NDL match of the year "because it was raining, and might not be on". BV Colts had to run without him, lost the match and -- quite possibly -- the league. Doesnt seem to be a willing traveller!

  9. I hear that the F1 World Champion, Max Verstappen, is to do Community Service in Rwanda for swearing during an interview. Where would it be appropriate for former speedway World Champion, Tai Woffinden, to do Community Service in view of his past tendency to use foul language, and what should he be obliged to do?

  10. I reckon I'll be partaking in one for the first time since the Waggy years, very decent value.

  11. how many people are required to start a rumour then?

  12. Ooh this could get really messy, especially if riders are signed and then a switch to a potential north/south split occurs. North - Edinburgh, Workington, Middlesborough, Belle Vue & Scuffield South - Oxford, Leicester, Birmingham, Kent & Plymouth (can't see Kings Lynn bothering if its a 5 way split) North looks ok and would open a path for Glasgow to join 2026 but South would be nervous with 2 only established teams and the others re-joining this year and Plymouths reputation of NL hokey cokey might make future seasons less viable......that said when has Speedway ever planned for the future.

  14. One thing I was always critical about was that season tickets didn't offer value for money. You often only had to miss one meeting for any saving to disappear. But for the past couple of years things have been much better in that regard and think the 2025 one offers some decent value. As someone who attends every home meeting and always buys a programme, a saving of £6.50 makes the risk worthwhile. Add in that it's a team I'm looking forward to watching plus being able to walk straight in without hardly queuing, makes getting one a no brainer for me.

  17. and that’s why many of the kids don’t last long, they forget to have FUN ! Look what happened to Joe Haines, Kyle Bickley and quite a few others….all very professional and burnt out before they were in the mid 20’s !

  18. Cheers, if someone say's Hook should be doing better - fair point, or there's better riders available - could be, but he's not improved or Leibmann's better - strongly disagree.

  23. It was a sarcasm Mr Worrall, you are talking like he's the Second coming of Christ. If Glasgow want to pin hopes on 2 guys potential who averaged a combined 2.56 then fair enough All I'll say is watching Sam McGurk who somehow averaged more than both of them was painful.

  24. Freddie Hodder won the Stars of Tomorrow competition in September, ahead of competition from the likes of Connor Coles, Jake Mulford, Jody Scott and Acr Pijper. The same Freddie Hodder scored 6+2 while guesting for us at home to Oxford at the tail end of last season. Our top five will throw every single other team in the league around like a wet towel, but make no mistake: the acquisition of Freddie Hodder is a strategic, planned piece of business. The exaggerated focus on our reserves is an attempt to persuade themselves, not us, that everything will be okay.

  25. You shouldn't need to have to keep up with the rules, when Birmingham announced his signing, should have said what average he was on, same as Oxford with Kildemand. Can't think of any reason why they don't!

  26. I certainly wouldn't want to be forced to pay for a programme. Rarely buy them these days as I use an app. Petrol and entrance and drinks are enough for me. Not sure why programmes are sold separately - have them available at the box office then if you are paying by card you only pay once and don't have to worry about cash

  29. Really pleased with the way Lynn have gone about their business for 2025 season. Feels the club is more on front foot. Hoping for good season and one that is injury free (for all). Team chosen and switch to Monday race night should eliminate all that Polish nonsense suffered in campaign just gone. Live too far away to buy season ticket but its good value.

  32. Funnily enough I thought of him when i saw this thread - when he spent half a season riding for Arena he always did look smooth and classy on the bike even at the ripe of age of 43. My other choice is Andrew Silver leg trailer extrordinaire. To a lesser extent Troy Pratt - his style also reminded me of Andrew, particularly wen riding Arena's tight bends.

  33. I don't think he's "that good" I think he's a 4.2 point rider, which is basically what the club had available for the last spot. If he had improved further, he wouldn't fit in the team. 2022 at Edinburgh 2.78 2023 at Edinburgh & Berwick 3.74 2024 at Plymouth 4.19 How has he not improved? Celina averaged 2.45 this season, why would you prefer her in the team?

  34. As a fan of the NDL I am delighted to see Tom Spencer has been given a Championship opportunity. Its well deserved on what I saw of him in 2024.
    1 point
  35. Weaker league yes but Spencer is no number 1. Phillips and Halder and just enjoying the latter years. Ben Rathbone promised much and thus far ahs delivered little. Don't think much of Ace or ward but Stene has a bit of something about him. safe to say im glad its not my local side as i personally couldn't get behind that team.

  39. So what your saying is he mugged Berwick off by averaging 1.52 for them all season, and is proceeding to do a Kevin Wolbert on them to succeed at Glasgow, got ya.
    1 point
  40. I stand corrected. I thought Riss had a higher average. Think Edwards, Mulford and Piper should help them to plenty of heat advantages. Now they just need to find someone to prepare the track as last season wasn't as good as previously

  41. Am I ‘ privileged inner circle ‘ as I paid for a ticket to be at the event ? , just like you had the chance too ! Every bears fan that could be bothered to find out knew within an hour , either through direct access to social media or by asking someone who lives in the modern era . Even the 80 year old owners of the club have a mobile phone ! Your on this site so I think your telling a few porkies as you just want to moan.

  46. The fact that two well respected members are having this discussion proves one thing. It's a TYPICAL half baked , finger in the dam, cock up from the BSPL to no doubt placate some one or others and in so doing just muddying the waters more and more. Only in Speedway!
