  1. Perhaps the Team Manager should also have a experienced Pit Crew to offer advice on set ups during meetings if required. The riders seem to get into all sorts of bother with their own crew sometimes.
  2. Do you think that Team Manager in Speedway really makes the difference,a wee bit rider juggling and the guts to drop an out of form rider could be done by most people,if it pays off a hero if not your a numpty.I would have thought that a recently retired rider with a bit of set-up knowledge would be more beneficial whoever that may be. Just a suggestion.
  3. Just guessing!! But they have attracted my attention by their antics off track.
  4. Some Brits have a attitude problem and big ego to try and cope with ,which is beyond them
  5. Trying to find someone to take the job will be the biggest challenge,Dont think the salery will be that great and certainly not worth the hassle given the calibre of riders currently available.
  6. Padlock the gates, unless your going to charge a fiver admission
  7. They could not score "extra" points is what I mean. The 2 riders could still only score 5 points, double points means 3 "extra "points in my book.the Joker is aptly named IMO.I seriously think Micky mouse rules have damaged the sport.Bonus points for good away performances is acceptable. But guests and double points have taken a lot of credibility away from the sport IMO.After watching Team speedway for 50+ years I feel that you are just watching Select Teams most weeks now and am losing my enthusiasm for the sport.
  8. I think the Danish Team Manger should be sacked for failing to tell Bjerre the points situation.I it had been Team GB in this situation the usual suspects would have been calling for Middlo's head.
  9. Sorry I am talking in league racing in Britain in the old days ,I don't understand your 8point swing in a single Race comment.
  10. In the tac sub days you were not gifted 3 EXTRA points for winning. You still could only score a 5-1.
  11. To you nothing ,I am interested who owns his contract as a matter of fact., <personal abuse removed>
  12. Who actualy owns Sebs contract,I thought Berwick bought him from Swindon(but could be wrong)
  13. Agree maybe great tv viewing for any sports fan watching but doubt it will pack the terraces.Riders touring around looking at their bike to gain an advantage is not what the sport should be about. If Bjerre had slowed to finish 2nd it would have been a total farce in hindsight with the rules he should have.It certainly would have not been the "fantastic viewing " that the TV companies want.
  14. He was a class act another rider who seemed to get held back by his Polish Club.Still gets the odd decent score.
  15. Surely Middlo could have manipulated the scoring with barker and Bridger later in the meeting to bring in Tai,without dropping Harris. Not that it would have made much difference but at least try and use the rules to your best advantage.Hancock is hardly a pushover to use a tactical against.
  16. I am not belittling Cook who has done well to get to the standard he is at the present, and I certainly not bitter regarding him,I am making the point that he is no better than the others barring Tai,and if he performs poorly which in my opinion he did at Kings Lynn his position will always be vulnerable .It is Professional Sport you have to perform, like he states it will help him in the future. He can make excuses for Monday but in my book that's all it is.Every rider comes on tell and gives the same story line.I claim he won't be future GP rider but that is just my opinion and does not belittle his achievements up to now.Hope that is clearer.
  17. Its not a forward step in their career for Foriegn riders to ride in UK these days ,but it would be for Brit to ride abroad. The off -track antics of of the Young Brits in recent years MIGHT tell us something though.
  18. Just an opinion, any rider apart from Tai has a chance of being replaced if they have a poor meeting as they are all the same standard.the poster said Cook beat Holder as an example ,I say Barker beat Cook at Armadale a couple of weeks ago so what does that prove.
  19. I am aware of how sh#te the standard of the Elite League is .Holder must have had his set-up wrong!!!! I do have sympathy for Cook and some of the young riders but in World terms they are nowhere good enough and I Personaly don't see any of them that are around the now making it. Excluding Ellis and Lambert who are still really young.
  20. Must have got his set-up sorted out.Wait a minute this is Premier League. What will he tell Kinvig tomorrow.
  21. BUT who will be fresher for the night out in Prague, my money is on Barker and Bridger.
