Which is what I said isnt it??????????? Yet Tsunami only points the finger at Bears supporters!
-
Hard to judge the strength of this team until others declare but fingers crossed that they finish bottom of the pile!
-
Didnt say it should did I? The fact is it does so why does your friend Tsunami feel the need to just point the finger at Bears fans? Simple, to cause trouble as usual!
-
Kettle and pot springs to mind. Many Bears supporters wont go to Newcastle anymore due to the disgusting antics of a minority there who also cheer when opposing riders fall and openly state they hope they are injured!!!! Can you not see the wood fot the trees? It happens everywhere!!!!
-
I agree !

Yeah, I keep fogetting. Silly me!

Where's your Worralls gone? Where's your Worralls gone? Where's your Worralls gone? Where's your Worralls gone? Far, far away, far, far away! New Redcar terrace chant!

What most Redcar fans think? You cant have spoken to many Lyons was a carpet beater early in the season until his average dropped then he became a world beater once the guest booking rolled in. Fact im afraid and I doubt you watched him at Redcar every week when he wasnt riding well! Out of tune? Trust me at least one of the management team gad their suspicions regards Lyons early season performances. Dont forget he started that season as PL number 1 so couldnt get guest bookings until his average dropped snd was then arguably Newcastles best rider!

When Is A Rider Considered Too Good?
Bellers101 replied to barrow boy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Depends which team is asking and the time of the season! BSPA just nake it up as they go along. -
Yes, he now wants an airfence and because of that he will now keep the mandatory 'voluntary' £1 admission donation in place to pay for maintenance. What a surprise!
-
I agree. If Dyer hadnt doubled his average we would have been nowhere. I doubt we went out all guns blazing to get him but just got lucky like you said RR.

Speedway At The Crossroads

Not sure where people are getting their facts from about the kerb/inside line not changing. I was all for putting in a proper kerb as it is at the STMP now as during the first (or first 2 seasons) the white line was chalked onto the track and changed slightly in position week upon week. I remember reading this in writing in either the Gazette or the Speedway Star, not sure which. Can't be bothered finding the article as I have DVD evidence to prove the point. The racing did change though as in the first season (or two) riders could put their front wheel over the white line (or the rear if you are Magnus Zetterstrom). Since the kerb was put in they don't as it is raised above the track surface on the bends thus restricting/altering racing lines. No doubt we will have some Newcastle supporters telling me otherwise! As for what GT might say. Well no comment!

The stadium and set up is good. The track is crap. The viewing from the back straight stand is even worse! I went there twice last season. Would I go back? Hmmmmmm? Well if the Bears have to go there to win the league maybe, but otherwise no until they alter the track.

And you are making your assessment on one meeting? If Fisher has signed then I was right it was a blessing in disguise!
-
Think this could be a blessing in disguise for Plymouth as I reckon Ashworth would have been woeful around their track.

Martin Dixon v Steve Schofield at Cleveland Park in I think 1988. They passed and re-passed for the whole 4 laps and threw the bikes at each other. No quarter was given before Dicko drifted wide on the last bend of lap 4 allowing Steve to creep up the kerb. Dicko crossed the line so fast he piled into the fence on turn one! I spoke to Dicko in person about this race last year and he said he dived under Steve so hard on bend 3 on the last lap that he struggled to stay on the the bike resulting in him having to drift out wide. He also said that Schofield was a good friend and one of the nicest people you could meet in speedway. In my opinion this was 2 born racers going at it hammer and tong for 4 laps. Pure magic and best of all I've got it on DVD!

Lyons Should Have Picked Scotty
Bellers101 replied to sunnysally's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Totally agree. He gambled and lost. If they got through he would of been hailed a tactical genius but he failed, end of, Lyon is the weakest link, goodbye! -
Lyons Should Have Picked Scotty
Bellers101 replied to sunnysally's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
For once JH I agree with you. Rob Lyon is obviously a puppet for the Chumpman regime. Could of made better team choices or that select group have fallen out with certain riders hence the picks. Rosco would be a good choice as long as he doesn't lose his cool as is his nature. -
Ole Olsen Track Prep
Bellers101 replied to Bellers101's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Might be better for the usual track staff at the permanent tracks to prepare the surface as per normal and not bring in an outside team or let Olsen dictate as much as he does. The local track staff surely know what they are doing, they have had enough practice. The Polish tracks used in the GP are renowned for providing good racing yet in the lastest GPs they are packed down solid by Olsens team. -
Ole Olsen Track Prep
Bellers101 replied to Bellers101's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Could be wrong be I'm sure I have an old Backtrack mag where Olsen is interviewed and suggests speedway could/should be run on tarmac tracks or something similar. Will have to see if I can dig it out. If my memory is correct the GP certainly seem to be heading that way. -
Kings Lynn Track Prep
Bellers101 replied to Mitchell Brothers's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Fair play to Keith Chumpman, he prepared a fair track for everyone, if it had been GB v Poland v Aus v Lynn it may have been a bit different though. The point to note is prepare a fair and decent track we will have good racing. Promoters up and down the land please take note. Yes we want our teams to win but the racing takes priority!
