The lack of a 3rd heat leader caused Redcar problems last season. That team in the above post wouldn't be any different.

Club legend!

Cook and Starke in the same team? Lots of meetings missed there when they don't show. Vissing never puts a full season in either so don't sign all three.

Les was riding Jawas in the 1982 world final finishing 2nd.

I remember being at Sheffield about 10 years ago for I think the PLRC. I was stood next to a certain Redcar riders bike next to the pits that had been extended and the fumes coming out of his bike being warmed up burnt my eyes and smelt like acetone. Sam Masters walked past said rider and gave him a look.

Maybe it was because he was the only rider mounted on an early GM which also won the next 2 finals with Gundersen and took over world speedway.

Nicholls has become partial to a jump start or two this season.

CLRC 15/9/24 @ Redcar

My thoughts exactly as McGregor has made several dubious decisions against Redcar in the past. -
Hopefully Plymouth can re-sign AN Guest. He's been the backbone of the team for a few years now.
-
Sign a number 1 and stop relying on guests and R/R. Excuses, excuses. Employ someone who can actually prepare the track. Fit some proper drainage. Stop blaming the stream next to the track as being a major reason for call offs.

Guest fest then.

Redcar (40) vs Oxford (50) - KO Cup S/F - 6/9

That was at Scunthorpe though not Redcar. They were stronger without him at Redcar. -

Maybe. He's a great lad but he's too laid back and friendly. Needs to show more determination and aggression to progress. -

Think he is overrated. He isn't particularly fast, only scores big points when he makes the gate and is pretty much one dimensional in his riding. Safe and steady and not aggressive enough for me. Doesn't take risks. For example in I think it was his first ride tonight he overtook Masters L1 B2. Masters challenged up the inside L1 B3 and rather than clamping Master he simply moved aside to allow him through. -

I agree and the grading breaks have become far too long. -

Said before the start that Oxford were stronger without Heeps allowing Nicholls and Boughen an extra ride. -

Heat 15 looked suspect to me. Staged to allow Redcar get the draw? -

Did Poole have the customary lengthy delay whilst behind at home to try and doctor the track? -

Is there any need for all this track grading it seems to be taking forever! -
An excuse for what? Quite a few people don't bother with the Mickey Mouse cup.

Redcar Bears vs Poole Pirates 19th July
Bellers101 replied to lbw's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Foord's crashes were advantageous to Poole as their weakest rider didn't have to take 3 rides. He didn't fall off on purpose in the warm up but come on, pulling him out definitely strengthened the team. Tobias was also obviously under instruction to throw his race to keep Poole 6 points behind so they could use the tac sub in the next heat. Not sure Poole would have won without Crash Bang Foord or the tactical ef! -

I would think most of the Poole riders would be reluctant to lend Foord a bike given his recent propensity to crash.
