  1. Under the Bosman rule, riders should be able to move around clubs without any loan fee, I guess it hasn't been challenged yet, but it makes the Asset base redundant
  2. They should allow short term replacements for an injured no 1, the cup final would have been a lot better with Zagar and Woffinden in it, Fricke and Lindgren didn't total themselves for a tactical gain...
  3. maybe working harder to improve core attendances is a good place to start
  4. Why do you bother on this forum, you come across as someone who hates the sport
  5. We are always going to be fragile at reserve, two 17 year old lads in their second season, they are going to have ups and downs. It might just be a little too much for Smith at the moment, and so he might make way for someone else soon if averages allow, so he can get his confidence in NL and Championship. I thought Payne would do better, looked like he was trying a little too hard, but again riding at number 2 ifor your first match is a hell of an ask. Tungate showed how good he can be round NSS, one of the best I have seen at our track. Starke always does well too, he is an under rated rider.
  6. Didn't know they got another tyre but I guess it makes sense that they should. Poole need to persevere with the young lads, they will do better as the season progresses, KK will always be hit and miss, they do miss Holder though. On another note, it is a tragedy we will never see Darcy Ward around that track, that would have been something worth driving a long way to see!
  7. For Belle Vue Cook Bjerknes and Bewley were magnificent, backed up by Worrall and Sedgeman. Fricke only came to party in his last ride but fantastic race. Smith battled hard and always in his races. Poole disappointing, Kurtz rode his heart out, really impressed with him, Andersen had flashes but KK at his most frustrating tonight. Surprised at Klindt, thought he would do better but if they are having to do 6 or 7 races on one tyre his last race would have been on the rim, I doubt he had any tyre left.
  8. After the first 5,heats Poole were competitive, some great races and close finishes Craig Cook! Superb performance, this has to be his breakthrough year and started really strongly!
  9. Max F will be reserve soon at this rate?! Max F will be reserve soon at this rate?!
  10. Fingers crossed it's getting better now, both sides getting into each other a bit more...
  11. It's your guys missing the gate by miles at the moment, difficult to have good racing when they are so off the pace in the first 30 metres
  12. 50:50 this one, Poole have a team of guys who can really race, Kurtz especially looked impressive last week. Shanes is going to a good reserve in this, and it could come down to KK v Max as to who comes out on top.
  13. I agree, although many tracks are hamstrung by the shape of the available space to them. Swindon always seems a very narrow track to me, but they aren't going to spend money to change it if they are moving?? Poole need to do something about their track now, it was ok when Ward was there, he could overtake on anything that was put in front of him. It is such a well supported club, it should have one of the best tracks to go with it, but they recently don't seem to get the track prep right from reports that come in week to week.
  14. By the sounds of it, Poole need to spend some time and money getting the racing surface up to scratch, if fans are calling 46-44 a bore fest then that isn't a good place for the promotion to be, especially after the Darcy Ward meeting. Matt Ford isn't stupid but this is definitely hurting his business right now. However, well done to the Aces on a strong performance, but Poole will go well round the NSS so this is still a 50:50 chance
  15. Up at BV i believe that ATP, one of the club sponsors, put money behind the British members of the team. Up at BV i believe that ATP, one of the club sponsors, put money behind the British members of the team.
  16. Belle Vue 1-5,probably strongerr than Wolves, Bewley is the key, if he can get a couple of race wins then looking good, otherwise KK and Andersen with Klindt backing them up may be too much.
  17. Belle Vue's sponsor list looks a bit thin from the web site?
  18. If Fricke is really committed to the Premiership then I would prefer him, but with Sweden and Poland better pay days, and GP qualifiers and the U21's again (?), King could be a better option, although really don't like the fact that Ipswich have first call on him
  19. the rumours of Rory Schlein coming back are probably false now it looks like his sponsor isn't the preferred bidder? so the questions now are? Richie Worrall in or out? Someone like Justin Sedgman possibly coming in (not picked up yet and big fast track would suit him), and partner reserve to go with Bewley?
  20. if he has ridden 10 seasons at Wolves, then yes he should have a testimonial
  21. council meeting this week on future of speedway in 2017, I think a sticking point is the capacity of the stadium without the temp terracing, which would only be around 2,200.
  22. Wolves just rode better than we did, congrats to them, we just need to man up and throw everything we can at them on Wednesday. No excuses, no moaning, wolves are a strong team and bringing Tai back made the difference, brought another 10% out of the other riders as some of the pressure is off with him as a second string I am pleased that we kept faith with the same side, loyalty will bring its reward, and developing the British boys is a pleasure to watch.
