Witches v Lynn May 6th 2.15pm
GeneralMelchett replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I’d be expecting a home win for sure - given you’ve just got your first win you’ve been dealt a bad hand with Tobi’s injury! -
start one - hes a great lad / rider and proof that the RS was worth doing, Dan T another too!
-
Good to see the Stars off the mark for 2024 - and Patryk Wojdylo - he was pretty terrible at Owlerton the other week and wow paid 18!

Leicester v Witches 02/05

Witches covered well in Dannys absence. still concerend with Emil heat 1 seems a bit of a write off for him think he has only one it once so far this season, plus 3-4 falls seems not like him. -

Two takeaways from this match - good to see Cookie back - he didnt really do too much wrong at Olwerton the other season and felt he was abit unlucky when they decided to make changes. The other is whats up with Magic he seems to be really struggling - expected more from him at Sheffield altho I expect all his races were tough and featured a Holder Brother or Woffinden. -
Pleased to see Cookie riding well - I recall his time at Foxhall was it 2021? I saw him ride in 2 meetings and he scored 5-14 and 5-15 so he was pretty much on it then! A confidence crisis has done for many a top sports man / woman / etc over the years so lets hope thats all behind him now.

Won’t make tonight but glorious weather here today so can’t foresee any rain off issues! Home win for me too by about ten I reckon - Holder jnr might get a max too -
Really good to see all the postive comments on the match - often after a TV meeting there is a lot of negativity. So glad Birmingham won (Nothing against BV) as well otherwise the gap between the top 5 and bottom 2 would be geting too large - just need Kings Lynn to win a few now and we might get a competitive battle for those 4 spots! We need an even and competitive league!
-
He’s developing well - hopefully being at Birmingham will help - he rides Ipswich pretty well so he’s getting there on all types of track!
-
Someone had to be excluded - as Chris Louis said it would have been very harsh on Pawlicki to exclude him as Kurtz dived underneath - it reminds me a wee bit of the playoff final at Owlerton (22) when TobiM charged under Oh Kurtz and down he went!
-
Not quite sure why we went so wide in heat 15 - yes I know chasing the dirt etc but it wasn’t there -
-
Well done Brummies - very entertaining meeting and some of their riders really did well for them tonight!
-
After Milik's score in Poland today I wouldnt hold out much hope for Birmingham - Pawliicki was better however! Can only se a BV win here I am afriad, but will be watching.
-
Well those predicting Jason Doyle’s demise in the series might have been a bit premature! - but it’s a long series so let’s see - based on tonight Woffindens days in the series might be numbered - but better tracks might yield different results! Jack Holder certainly the best in show tonight! fairly routine and largely dull event tho

Ipswich v Sheffield April 25th
GeneralMelchett replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It rained quite heavily today from 5-6.30 south of Ipswich - en route up it was still raining up the a12 and a14 got there and all the cars were leaving the stadium so guessed it was off - disappointing but that’s the first rain off at Ipswich I’ve ever experienced from recent memory -
LIONS v BIRMINGHAM 25/4/24

Yes - well worth it in my opinion if you can't get there! Home win by 10+ i reckon tonight. Max Fricke will continue his good form! -

Weather been fine so far should be no issues, looking forward to this - hope to see some good racing - still inclined to back a narrow home win -

Was not aware of that time difference so that makes sense for the difference in the 'punishments'!
