Ipswich v Belle Vue August 22nd

I am sooo old clearly i like to get a programme - last season at Sheffield v BV they ran out of programmes and i didnt get one - i had to create a scorecard on my phone so i could keep tabs of the score! -
Planning to visit the NSS for this - having looked at the website it suggests plenty of parking about - the South Car park seems the best option if you are just turning up on the day? The £3 as well and if so is it cash or card or do you have to pia (pay in advance? Onto the match - well should be a good one i reckon - slender home win for me!

Shame as Zach scored really well for Woves at Foxhall in 2023 so I was hoping / expecting more. Decent effort but not enough - nice to see Jordan getting some decent points. I wonder if the Witches can buck this dip and beat Birmingham next week I actually have that down as one they can perhaps win. -

Some won’t get that! actually one bright spot was Doyley being interviewed - Ipswich need him back in 2025!! -

Fair points there - I like to think because my club have now closed down I am more circumspect about things particularly teams loyalties etc last night was just a hard watch - from the racing / presentation / amateurs doing the camera and graphics / if I was a proper Sheffield fan I would have taken no joy in that win as the entire lot was just rubbish! The Witches simply fell apart the moment The tigers went ahead! But well done them - you can only beat what’s in front of you - it doesn’t represent Ipswich well to see a large stadium almost deserted and a team with 3 of the regular side out! I know having been a lot that you can and do get good meetings and racing there normally when either Jason or Emil are riding through from the back! Eurosport / Discovery+ couldn’t do any worse but to sub the entire process out to the BSN who do a better job in my view! I can only assume the summer intern was updating the scores last night and has no knowledge or interest in speedway the number of mistakes made! I fear the season is over for the Witches - Leicester my team to watch out for! -

To be fair you won there in 2023 when he out gated both Jason and Emil to win heat 15 wee sod was out the traps like a rabbit with a lurcher after it! -

Track is tricky - nothing like it was on thurs last week! Witches might regret dropping these points early on! and who the heck is doing the scores! Bewley seems to be enjoying the track however -

Every rider would like it be so yes but at Foxhall from when I’ve seen him ride at is a fair number of times now he is generally out of the gate very quickly, often frustratingly so! -

Was going to say yes was pretty convinced I saw that on TV!! Can see a repeat but Ipswich have at least got Bewley as a decent guest so could be close! Batch will score a few but not as many as Ellis would -

Yes, I've always liked it as a race track - i do feel it could benefit from being wider but we've done that topic already! -

I think he was being facetious to make a point, I fully understand people make comment without facts or evidence - Ipswich in my view is wider than Sheffield, but i could be wrong. However I have been going to Sheffield off and on since 1998 and I don't ever really recall shale piled up by the fence but maybe I haven't been concentrating - wether that made the accident worse or not I can't say! We should all just be glad Emil wasnt seriously injured! -

Depends I suppose if you were there! For the record he locked up on the 1st 2nd bend on lap 2 - maybe hit a rut I am not sure, or simply rider error. Rew did a similar fall there in heat 4 -

Thanks - glad his shoulder and or wrist seem good then! He was down for a while and you feared the worst when he withdrew. Hopefully he will be back and fully able to race in 09 days then -

Being honest it cost them as Kemp was pretty ineffective if they reach the playoff final then there reserves may well cost them! -

Disaster for the Witches but a very good night for the Lions. I think we can safely say that the Witches chances are now probably over. I hope Adam is back for Monday but at the moment their three best riders at Foxhall are injured. -
I am hoping they have a replacement plan for Jason and praying that Emil is back - I am reminded that TM supposidly asked for a team place for 2024 before ending up at KL for a while - maybe he might be a good play off signing. Am looking forward to Foxhall ion Thursday regardless my first meeting for a while!
