Workington v Poole Sat 12th July 6pm start
LisaColette replied to AndiCapp's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I have never wanted any rider sacked. Shock horror a team loses away from home! However if we are going to discuss this, then Weds nights might fit in better for Swedes and Poles rather than Fridays and Saturdays. Especially for any Polish riders. Garry May did actually say a number of riders say no because of riding on Saturdays. -

You think it's bad on here, you should see it on X ππ π Really will depend on Bowes/Jye/ Hook combination as the others can ride Poole all right. Generally anything over 10 points can be hard to pull back as Worky can just sit on 3-3s if needed. -

Definitely livens it up for the BP. -

Surprising Tate still struggling for BV when he rides this good for Worky. Wonder if the crash being at BV is weighing on his mind. Understandable if so. -

Gavan is losing the plot tbh. First he down plays Cairns 8+1 vs Glasgow by saying Glasgow have the worst reserves. (Cairns also beat Hume as well) and now we have the worst reserves. -

Apart from Kelv who was always accused of wanting Poole to win all the time back in the day lol. -

You don't actually think he's biased do you? -

Edinburgh wanted it moved cos they would have been missing 2/3 riders. So down to their promotion. -

Why would they do an 800 round trip when you're not prepared to? -
Scunthorpe vs Plymouth 11.7.2025
LisaColette replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
You were right. You can see why Poole let him guest to get some practice in, not the best record round there last season and that was at reserve! -
That was why it was moved then! Apparently 23rd July was no good to other SF opponents. Thanks Worky, now we have a bit of weekly speedway π
-
An expensive way to do it. They could do what they say they were going to do. We'll see π You gonna be a bit match rusty!! π€·ββοΈ

Yes it does matter when they said they were going to give fans a clear and transparent statement.

Is It Finally Time For One League?
LisaColette replied to TheSmiler's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
More teams in the Championship than Poole and Glasgow! Also Poole aren't scared just not prepared to run at a loss. -
When does the 7 days run out? Is it Friday?

How you gonna do it with 5 teams then? Gotta ask yourself why no one wants to move up. -
BERWICK v EDINBURGH (July 5)
LisaColette replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
No worries I was just using Poole 2021 as an example with the original question about if SCB can get involved. -
BERWICK v EDINBURGH (July 5)
LisaColette replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Asked how he started working at Pirates, the track specialist told the Daily Echo: βIt was towards the end of last season, there were a few problems. The SCB initially sent me down and we sorted it. https://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/20070909.terry-track-ensured-smooth-sailing-pirates-wimborne-road-shale/ -
BERWICK v EDINBURGH (July 5)

Yes, when Poole had a massive crater a few seasons back and had to delay a meeting by over an hour to sort it out, the SCB sent Terry (i think it was him!) to sort it out. I think Birmingham also had it at a similar time as well. -
Not sure that is a valid reason as they got 10 for Dan and paid 9 for Ashton who wouldn't have got that on form he was on imo.

Or Plymouth!! (So far) But can win at Glasgow. Strange really.
