  1. Yeah, I can believe that! No matter what people say on here, Poole never pay over the top for riders. Though I think percentage of silverware in the past and the sponsorship and being paid on time helps. There is a YT video of an interview with Matt Ford saying along the lines of, he makes sure he never owes anyone any money even if that means he doesn't get much himself. Anyway I really hope Newcastle can make it to at least the end of the season and beyond as well.
  2. I might have been gutted Basso left Poole, doesn't mean I'm gonna switch over to Glasgow though lol
  3. Looks like it is going ahead! Fair play to the riders!
  4. Forecasts not always right though. Especially when it is localised showers as they can hit anywhere.
  5. Yeah and be quick to moan when Leicester have to wait for everyone else to complete their meetings!
  6. Leicester reserves gonna outscore Newcastle HLs at this rate. You would think they are in different leagues.
  7. Hmm prob go the same way as the Wolves meeting on Monday where do half a lap and call it off!
  8. Yes, that did enter my mind and fans hate waiting around to see if a meeting is going to called off or not! I did see a photo of the track on twitter and does look quite wet!
  9. Well Scott thinks he's turned a corner now, so maybe he'll be given a bit more time?
  10. Can they not delay it into an evening meeting? Would that be enough time to dry it out? Though I guess it depends on how sunny and windy it is?
  11. Don't Leicester only have 28 days though as Rowe quit but Kennett is injured, so Plymouth could do it for the season? However in the playoffs Plymouth can only use a rider from teams 7-11!
  12. Wolves slightly stronger top 5 with Jye still catching up on match fitness? So think it will come down to reserves. Hoping Drew can have a couple of good rides to get his confidence back up there again. I think that's all he needs, as long as he really is just sore from his crash at Poole and not hurt his self more and just trying to ride through it? I'll go for 48-42 to BV.
  13. Doubt it, as he wasn’t their RS? Connor Mountain is.
  14. Won't be long til Panthers get a home win but might be a bit gradual, so I'll go for a draw, I mean SUPERHEAT!
  15. That's what I mean. They can come against Scunthorpe if C4G thinks they might be a bit of a jinx! Glasgow one not so clear cut. Plymouth one will be interesting as we both have good top 5. Depends what Alfie, Ben and Harry do for them I think. The no7's are best friends, so lots of friendly rivalry there! I'm assuming Harry is at 7 and Ben at 6?!
  16. Hmmm, interesting! What did people expect? He was reserve most of the time he was at Poole in a part of last season when the team was on winning run/good form. He think he is doing well considering he is at 4.
  17. Leicester got Jason Edwards instead of Connor Coles today. According to Leicester twitter account.
  18. Always feel like you really have to win at Redcar as everyone does well there! To get one over your rivals.
  19. Done bottom of the table already! Maybe vs Scunny then! Do not bring them vs Glasgow though!
  20. H15 picks pretty straight forward for Cami tonight!
  21. Hope you've all made the most of our little blip as apparently it isn't going to happen again. In Bournemouth Echo. By Dan Rose. PIRATES star Richard Lawson sent his apologies to the Wimborne Road faithful, after the club’s phenomenal unbeaten home record came to an end. The Dorset outfit were beaten 47-43 on their own patch by SGB Championship leaders Leicester Lions – their first home setback in 1,008 days. Lawson himself impressed with 13 paid 14 from his five rides – only losing to an opposition rider on one occasion. But with others failing to fire elsewhere, the experienced British racer insisted a home defeat would not be repeated. Addressing the crowd after the meeting, 36-year-old Lawson said: “It was very difficult. Our apologies to everyone. We were trying, we tried everything and some things just didn’t go our way. “But we will learn from it and, make no mistake, we won’t repeat this. “It’s given us a kick up the backside, to be fair. We know what to do and what not to do. This isn’t going to happen again – don’t worry.” Pirates are now eight points behind Leicester in the league table. “We’re a good team and we are going to be fighting for that top spot. This isn’t anything major, just a blip,” said Whitehaven-born Lawson. “I personally learn more from the races I lose – what not to do and what to do – and as a team we lost. “We will learn from that and come back better and stronger. “I can’t speak highly enough of this club. It’s absolutely amazing. The fans, it’s a pleasure to race in front of you every week. “The promotion, the guys in the pits, the track staff. Just everyone – it all gels together and it’s like a family, it’s great.
  22. Yeah done by the same people who do it at Plymouth apart from the presenter/commentator. I think you can let Birmingham and Newcastle off as they might not be able to afford it. Do clubs make any profit from streaming? Be interesting to know!
  23. Poole do, been watching it this season when I can't attend. You obviously haven't lol
  24. Interesting as he is just as good in the Championship this year as he was last season. Was vs Poole anyway, but maybe he wanted to prove he should be in the team. I think there is a bigger gap between the two leagues than people make out.
