  1. I wouldn't have thought so considering we moved down to save money!! You'd have to ask Stevie why. You can ask him on Friday! Tbh Havvy did the same for 1999 season, could have signed for Hull which is a lot nearer to him but signed for Poole.
  2. Maybe Cook is more subtle with it. Brady Kurtz has jumping at least once a meeting when he was at Poole, I saw that! But then so did the refs! I haven't seen him exc for it this season for BV though, so the rule must have worked on him! With Sarj, the fans could almost do a drinking game. Do a shot every time he jumps! Don't think he is bad as he used to be though? He used to get a load of stick for it when he was riding for Coventry especially from Poole fans!
  3. And this is why I am glad we went to Kent the week before they signed Batch! Understand how you feel though, Poole have thrown away a fair few leads in away meetings in last few heats. If meetings finished after H12, we would have a few more away wins on the board.
  4. Maybe it should just be the same heat rather than the same meeting. Also Broc needs to ask Cookie how he gets away with so many!
  5. Lawson good for double figures at Poole. Will have to be Barker or Nicol as they prob match that.
  6. Ha, Panthers not gonna like that! You hoping! lol Doubt they will get the choice tbh. If Wolves pick Sheffield it is solely on the reason of hoping BV knock out Peterborough imo.
  7. However with a lot of talk about going to places needing a vaccine passport, they might themselves in a lockdown of their own making (as they can't get in to anything!). quite ironic really!
  8. Yes, he first rode at Poole this season when guesting for Scunthorpe and only took first one or two rides to get to grips with it. So his performance with Glasgow was no surprise.
  9. It says on KL twitter that Lawson has a suspected broken collarbone.
  10. They might have to give regular race nights up, if there is a possible October half term lockdown which is being reported! Need to get it done before that happens. If Scotland don't do one we could have a Glasgow vs Edinburgh final by default!
  11. I take it he's no1? Surely he has highest average unless it's Bjarne. See if he pulls out of the Plymouth Individual tomorrow or not.
  12. Definitely closer than last time! Havvy just not as tactically aware as other managers. But at home it should be fine. No one should need to be taken out of a ride. I think it shows up more in away meetings as some riders will be good and some might have an off night. He wouldn't necessarily bring a reserve out if a top 5 rider was struggling a bit. But he was better last away meeting he did.
  13. Personally I don't mind what the score is, along as Poole win (joking - as long as the racing is close and competitve!) Perfect example being Glasgow last Friday. The score wasn't close but the racing was which is a credit to the Glasgow riders as they didn't let their heads drop and fought for every point. My point being you can have good, close racing in a 55-35 meeting. Plus last heat deciders aren't good for my nerves and heart!
  14. Nah, even Havvy can't mess this up! Be a lot closer than the last time Plymouth were down though. Be the closest meeting we have had since Edinburgh were down.
  15. Not by much. I prefer Champ, I have been to more meetings this season then the last two season Poole had in the prem. More teams, better race to the playoffs and a lot less boring! I did think after I posted I have no clue what the conversion rate is! Thought there is no 'i' in team Ah, okay. This is what happens when you don't buy a programme and the scoreboard is broken!
  16. James' average over 5 in the Champ now! At one point this season Poole were using him in the 3.75 or lower before Basso came. So must have been doing well in last 6 weeks or so.
  17. Shame Birmingham ride on Weds as Jack Thomas would have been the ideal guest. Looking at the averages and if I have read them correctly: Bickley, Rowe, Kemp, Bailey, Morley, Kennedy and Josh Mcdonald. I excluded Plymouth, Birmingham and Redcar as they are also riding.
  18. I don't know for sure but last Champ meeting is 24th Sept, so prob then? The prem playoffs are pencilled in for 27th Sept, but can't see any Champ playoffs pencilled in this month. Though that prob harder as not as cut and dry as the prem and more days available!
  19. Well Danny King is getting high scores in both leagues so you wouldn't know there is a difference!
