Steve0 is welcome to do a few as he made no statement to back up. Why should he back up YOUR statement? If you can't do it, no one else can! All I said was young riders will improve wherever they are. Doesn't matter if they are at Ipswich or BV. Attack me all you like but it doesn't change the fact that you can't back up YOUR own statement. Which is still incorrect btw. Oh, and you are either wrong or you don't know what generally means. Which is it?
-
Why would you need to research averages? Surely you would have done that before you made that statement!! So really it was a random stab in the dark and now you can't admit you got it wrong, and change 'generally' to a 'few' or even 'some'.
-
If you said 'a few' then 3 would be the right amount. But you didn't. You said 'generally' which is most.
-
I've already said it is a few or some just not generally, so can't use that excuse. Sorry!
-
Oh yeah, good point!! Scott Nicholls is a good example of that. Left Ipswich as a reserve, 2 years at Poole and went back as a no1 or the very least a HL.
-
Doyle was early 20's when he left Poole how is that not young! Lol. Unless you can name at least 25 riders your 'generally riders who leave Poole..' is incorrect, it is a few or some but not generally.
-
No, I said you'd struggle to name 'most' riders. You've claimed 'most' riders have improved since leaving ,so name them. 8-12 isn't most it is a few or some. More spin than a politician, you!!
-
Exactly! Some riders have improved when leaving Poole and some haven't. Definitely not most though. If he can give me a list of 25-30 names then fine, I'll zip it!
-
Nope, I haven't made a flippant statement to be proved wrong unlike you! Good to know only a FEW riders who have left Poole have improved not the GENERALLY term you used. Hopefully Santa will bring you a dictionary this christmas, heaven knows you need one!
-
No, your statement is wrong. Still waiting for the list of most riders that have left Poole have improved.
-
So we on 8 now? Still no where near 'most' riders who have left Poole. Better get your thinking cap on hey Steve!! Plus I'll expect the poor examples seeing as you are struggling to think of anyone. I'm nice like that!
-
That list is about the same in length as Stevebrums!!
-
Nah, I don't need to do much of a response when your statement has been proved incorrect.
-
Is that the best you can do? Let me know when you have the list of names of riders who have improved when left Poole. You better get Tom Cruise ready the mission impossible!
-
If people are going to make sweeping statements surely they can provide a list of names, if it is so obvious surely it would only take 30 secs but obviously he can't think of any. There is a perfect reason for that, his statement is untrue!!
-
In other words you can't think of any! I have accepted the ones that have been mentioned between you and SteveO where do you think the six have come from? Good to see your statements hold no weight as usual.
-
Generally means most or officially 'in most cases'. So according to you in most cases riders who leave Poole improve yet you can't even name a third of them!! Have a look in the dictionary. Or if you are unsure of the meaning of a word maybe you shouldn't use it? You know what you said is miles from the truth, maybe one day you'll admit to it. That hole you are digging is getting pretty deep now!
-
Generally =most. 6 riders is nowhere near most Poole riders who have left in say the last 20 years, I'll keep it to the length of time Matt has been in charge. So yeah you still talking bull.
-
Haha. Exactly! Plus obviously Doyle would improve as he went the gaps that weren't there a lot of the time when he was a Poole rider, so finishing races wasn't exactly his forte. So as long as he corrected that he was already improving!
-
No it didn't!!! It started because someone said ' every rider who leaves Poole improves' Trouble is said person knows what they said is a load of bull but they keep digging that hole!
-
How is saying a rider wouldn't get any worse, predicting them to be WC??!! Lol. The stuff you make up from people's posts lol.
-
One rider doing better doesn't mean everyone who leaves Poole does better!! Doyle was hardly going to get worse! You can't even name a majority of riders who have left Poole have done better. So bit obvious it is untrue. FB is right, whether riders do better or worse when they leave a club isn't because of that club sometimes a season just clicks.
-
Because they are young and would have improved if they stayed at Poole anyway? Your argument is completely floored if you think most riders who leave Poole improve, when you can only think of 6 in the last 20 years? That is a very small minority. Ironically Ryan Douglas is better at Poole than Wolves, so track can't be that bad! And Nick Morris got worse when riding for Wolves than when he was at Swindon! So maybe look at your own team first!!
-
I thought he was starting to..
-
You said riders improve when they leave Poole, but you are only going along with 3 that someone else has said. Pretty poor statement from you that you can't think of any others. Considering the amount of riders Poole have gone through in the past 20 years, 3 riders is prob even barely 2%!! So most riders who leave Poole don't improve then..?
