Smiling Sam's tweet from late last night................ Sam Masters @Sudden_sam33 11h11 hours ago Screwed shoulder Damn 'n blast.

Way over.

You've just encouraged him to wreck that EL thread too.

I'm a sore loser. Nothing wrong with that. Just means we are competitive. We can be magnanimous in defeat but still be sore losers. Show me someone who's happy to lose and I'll show you a loser. Anyway - check out the picture - it looks like someone who knows he has blown a good opportunity. It shows no more than that.

Ship out tungate heeps Manzares & one of the reserves

Didn't know repeats weren't allowed.

Too late now for changes I believe.

Finished in front of Doyle? Doyle was his team mate! In all 5 of his races there were only 3 finishers! Must be some kind of a record. He didn't beat ANY Coventry riders. Probably only got heat 15 because the next highest scorer had 4. I watched him at Ippo last week and he was miles off the pace. So I repeat, I think he has come back too soon.
-
Did you see who he beat though.... S. Lambert and no-one of note. Check it out. Sam masters is still struggling with his broken hand and he was out 2 or 3 weeks longer than Osty.
-
Ostergaard & lambert maybe came back too soon.

Panthers on a mass average reduction exercise by the look of it. So glad I stayed home.

Bikes always seem to be bouncing around the corners to me - only seems to be king that gets around smoothly. -

Totally agree bcd - it really is a great venue - even the food is ok. Good car park - loads of seating. Lousy music though! But the track is just rough and therefore so is the racing. -

Very good sensible post Pob. But some were suggesting the Edinburgh promotion were pulling a fast one, aided by Alex Harkess position!! Hard call whether Cookie would have risked it if it had been closer. He probably wouldn't have scored as normal and it was probably expected that The Fish would have scored a few more given the good form he has been in recently, so he probably would still have given it a miss. -

Takes two sides to reach an agreement - e.g. over fixture dates. What excuse are folk going to use when Mr. Harkess stands down from his BSPA chairmanship but Monarchs keep winning? But back to the meeting....... King - rode well / looked fast and unbeatable. Covatti - likewise after his first ride. Tungate - I assume he didn't have his Polish engine? Heeps/Manzares/Neilsen - al pretty poor. At least Manzares left the fences intact this time - does he really only have 1 bike? Morris - scored well but I don't know how. Kaiser Kevin - best of our bunch. The Fish - steady but slow (didn't have his best engine apparently). Smiler - rode well in his first 3 but I think the bumpy track then had an effect on his hand. Sedgy - steady in his first couple / miles off the pace in his next two. Erik - poor night. Rob - not his best night / gated well a couple of times but couldn't keep it. Cleggy - rode better than he scored / tried some interesting lines to no great effect. Crowd looked a lot lower than I would have expected. Racing was pretty poor throughout - maybe the bumps don't help but King seemed to miss them all. But most probably because it was expected to be a nothing match - Cookie's absence made the aggregate score a fair bit closer - there was no tension at all. -

Yes of course they backed off. Got another semi final tomorrow night plus the playoffs plus Smiler in the PLRC. Obviously they weren't going to take unnecessary risks especially in the last half of the meeting. Heaven knows what Gavan is drinking or smoking.
