  1. As mentioned before, no we are not worried about Cookie's EL form. Business as usual...... BERWICK 'K. Dixon Building Supplies' BANDITS...40 EDINBURGH 'Border Roofing' MONARCHS...50 1. Craig Cook © 3,3,3,3,3 = 15
  2. Yay - first away win nearly delivered!! Only 2 x 0-5's to avoid.
  3. No need to be embarrassed Gazc - I really appreciated your kind words!
  4. I don't expect us to take any points tonight. So I must be deluded. I remember this all too well..... Berwick Bandits = 51 1. Claus Vissing - 2', 3, 2, FX = 7+1 2. David Bellego - 3, R, 2', 1' = 6+2 3. Steen Jensen - 0, 0, 2 = 2 4. Matthew Wethers - 3, 2, 1, 2' = 8+1 5. Kevin Doolan - 1, 3, 2, 2, 1' = 91 6. Liam Carr - 2', R, 0 = 2+1 7. Matej Kus - 3, 3, 3, 3, 0, 3, 2 = 17 Edinburgh Monarchs = 39 1. Craig Cook - 1, 1, 1, 3, 3 = 9 2. Justin Sedgmen - 0, 3, 1, 3, 0 = 7 3. Max Fricke - 2, 2, 0, 3 = 7 4. Steve Worrall - 1', 1', 3, 1 = 6+2 5. Sam Masters - 2, 2, 2, 1 = 7 6. Aaron Fox - R, 1', 0, 1, 0 = 2+1 7. Derek Sneddon - 1, 0, 0 = 1 (Courtesy of Monarchs Chatzone) The saving grace is you don't have Kus at reserve!!
  5. Nicola will get you an early appointment - she works miracles.
  6. I think we've all answered though. No-one is worried about Cookie's lack of form in the EL which is all based on 2 away matches in 2 days. If he is still struggling in the EL in 2 months time I still won't be worried as long as his PL form is good. Equally, if he bangs in maximums (maxima really) in his next 2 EL home matches then I won't be going overboard that he will never drop a point in the PL. Pointless discussion really, but I have some spare time on my hands!! You should be worried about Tungate's away form and Hawkins' decision making (or since it's only 5 weeks till he's due at Armadale again is he getting everyone prepared for his absence?)
  7. Thought this was an Edinburgh thread? But if you insist - really looking forward to seeing the Fish again at Peterborough tomorrow. Or does he count as an Edinburgh rider still?
  8. 'Cos we all say so!! Form is temporary, class is permanent. Cookie rode well in the PL last season but his EL form dipped. So the two are not intertwined. He knows his gating is not at its best at the moment hence him practising after last night's match. Bit soon to ring alarm bells after 2 away EL matches is it not? But hey it's Cookie so he's fair game for everyone.
  9. One swallow and all that!! It certainly made a big difference that the 2 Geermans scored well. Hopefully Kaiser Kevin can keep it going and it will be interesting to see how Erik develops. Their form will be the key.
  10. I believe everything I read! But seriously, worky should have been able to score higher than they did tonight considering the team they put out. Especially with Palovaara at reserve. Plenty of Armadale experience.
  11. Much respect Mr Bruv. Not many people read every word in the programme! You'll have noticed the heat 1 sponsor too! My southern team was a choice from Lakeside, Rye House, Ippo, Peterborough or Mildenhall. From a racing preference it was between the last two and I opted for Peterborough. For some strange reason I have never seen a decent meeting at Ippo and very few at Rye.
  12. I agree there was a fair number of spectators there. I doubt the crowd was healthy though!
  13. Wish I had stayed at home and watched Eastenders. That was Dire - yet again. Dunno what it is with Rebs and Foxhall but they are always dire there and I keep going to watch them thinking they'll be better this time. Track seemed pretty rough to me, as it is every time I go. But King said it was brilliant so there. Just seemed a lot of bikes bucking around like broncos. Lost count of the number of falls on the first two bends - was it 10? The only other faller was Tungate somewhere in the fog. He started, was last seen going past me on turn 2 but was never seen again and the race was stopped. That heat should never gave started. Not much entertainment for the casual punter. Yet people moaned about the Showground track on Monday. I prefer that every day of the week compared to Ippo.
  14. Could have done with it flooding last Monday then!!
  15. Not much of a safety fence!! https://www.flickr.com/photos/the_womble/16888476398/in/album-72157649509012613/
  16. Not sure why Greenwood hasn't clicked yet this season. Last season he was in great form before he bust his collar bone. His maximum was testament to that. Also saw him score very well at Rye House for Panthers last season. Bit unfair to consider ditching him already.
  17. I think the point is that the track has been poor all season until tonight. It's not back to its best yet but tonight was a big improvement.
  18. Tractor was out grading every 2 heats. Seemed to me there were more lines available than any other meeting at the showground this year - all down to a bit extra dirt. Definitely better to watch than what I see at Ippo, though I haven't been to Ippo this year yet.
