  1. One thing Ive seen on a pretty regular basis over the last 4 or 5 seasons is a rider stop racing due to EF etc and coasting around the whiteline instead of immediately leaving the track. IMO those riders should be fined as they're a potential cause of an accident.
  2. TBH other riders, of both teams involved should refuse to go to the tapes if he's in the race.
  3. Definitely shouldn't be allowed to ride. If the SCB are worried about possible litigation if an accident takes place in a meeting run by another governing body on a homologated SCB track Then they shouldn't be letting a rider with double vision be riding. Nothing against Erik Riss or either of his teams, if there was a crash and someone got seriously hurt, we all know what will hit the fan.
  4. It's only £20 if purchased before raceday, so more or less the same as everyone in the CL. I'd say a couple of reasons they can afford the riders is the attendances and good sponsorship. Same as Poole in reality
  5. Agreed Maybe/hopefully discussions are happening behind the scenes to sort the whole sorry saga out.
  6. Not condemning him at all but it seems bizarre to say the least, that a member of a committee that threatens closure of a track for running under another governing body, then takes part in a meeting at the same track, run under that governing body.
  7. I don't want to get my big wooden spoon out, but wasn't one of the competitors a member of the SCB committee ?
  8. Many years ago, i'm fairly sure that due to one of those quirky rules British speedway love so much, that John Davis rode as a guest replacement for himself.
  9. If you took off your blue tinted specs you'd realise this is what everyone says about Poole
  10. From what I heard Oxford wanted to go PL but were turned down and told they could only go CL at the highest. No doubt in the best interests of the sport. I myself am totally happy with CL which I've always thought is the best league for variety and competitiveness. Plus in the latter years before we were shutdown the Conference league was very enjoyable and the Chargers in the NDL both last year and this are great value for money.
  11. Henry has come on leaps and bounds this season. Plymouth's loss and a big gain for Oxford, lovely young lad too, always ready for a photo with fans or signing autographs. The young Oxford fans seem to have taken to him, maybe something as simple as the Boxer celebration along with a fair bit of exciting on track action is something they like.
  12. Haven't you heard they've bought some shale for the dustbowl/skidpan ( delete as required ) the away teams might now be able to get over the Godawful processional racing that those in blue tinted specs such as yours love so much.
  13. Bit like another couple of Antipodeans in their early days over here. Barry Briggs and Ivan Mauger Have to sift through some dusty old files to see if they got any better.
  14. The new London Stadium is only a stones throw from the original London Stadium which Waterden Rd the home of Hackney was renamed/redeveloped. I think the original Waterden Rd site is where the BT studios etc were sited for the Olympics.
  15. KB in my opinion needs, if he is someone prepared to listen, an older wiser rider to take him under his wing and nurture him. There's a good rider in there but it's lost direction.
  16. Will Scott Nicholls be sending up one of his flashy shirts for "Lionel" to wear next time he's doing his excellent job on BSN
  17. Rew might be limited on how many countries he can ride in.
  18. I think unless my memory isn't playing tricks that they become compulsory sometime in june, so riders had time to get them sorted. Maybe thats PL only and CL and NDL have longer to get set up.
  19. I'm using a Chromebook and stream just starting. I daresay if it doesn't work that you should be able to claimback the money
  20. Your blue tinted specs stopped you seeing Dickie move at the start,
  21. Broken finger !!!! I remember watching Kenny Carter being carried out of, and back into the pits with a broken leg at Oxford in a qualifier for the British Final, and it was pretty much drizzle all day and throughout the meeting. Mind you his leg was only broken in 4 places.
  22. If you want to be in with the big boys, you'd get there. Say it was in America or South Africa, maybe the FIM should look at hiring out a stadium in Spain and doing it there, the locals are bike mad, could do the same in Italy somewhere further south. It's a joke IMO having the GP Challenge before the end of the GP season.
