Oxford v Poole 20/4/22
Triple.H. replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Totally agree re the if's and but's. Which is why I mentioned Scott Nicholls having a bad day at the office. But Foreverblue was more or less gloating that Poole has a Conference Leagie rider at reserve while completely forgetting Oxford also did. Maybe the dust obscured his/her vision through their blue tinted spectacles. -

TBH, I'd rather we did what we did, and use a rider from our own junior team. Only way riders will progress unless they are a super talent is to get track time against riders of a higher standard. Better to train our own riders than someone else's Maybe a lesson for the British Authorities as our leagues trained up plenty of Foreign talent instead of using British riders who ended up drifting away from the sport. Luckily there now seems to be a good crop of younger riders coming through who will kick on -

Oxford had a CL rider at reserve. Scott Nicholls had an off night,it happens to everyone at some point. If he had scored as expected it could've been a draw or even an Oxford victory. -
When did the no mobile phones in the pits rule change ?

7:30 start will catch a fair few out but at least the early morning dew should keep the dust down. I'll be happy if we get 40 pts Happy as Larry with a draw Elated if we win -
Hope it's on, fairplay to you for risking that big a journey early in the season If its on just hope nobody has their gating gloves on as it's a cracking racetrack

Limit is probably due to HSE and getting a safety certificate. It was said capacity was 2.5K but on Radio Oxford they said all 2K sold. Maybe the 2.5K includes riders, officials and stadium staff etc and for the opening meeting a lot have been kept for special guests and the media. -
