StevePark replied to waco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Last I heard was Tom was guesting both tonight (Tuesday) at Kent and tomorrow (Wednesday) at Poole. I haven't seen that had changed. -
Not all tracks would be allowed to use covers. Newcastle being just one example.

Diamonds have Tom Brennan as a guest for the injured Matty Wethers. -
Obviously not the 5th, as already stated.

Also taken off Facebook: FURTHER IMPORTANT FIXTURE INFORMATION The home SGB Championship meeting due to take place on Sunday 29th August versus Eastbourne Eagles has now been POSTPONED until later in the season. This is to allow the Eagles the time they need to sort out the advertised issues that are ongoing at the club at the present time. We sincerely hope to have a re-staged fixture date announced very soon and from everyone here at Newcastle, we send all our best wishes to the promotion, team and supporters of Eastbourne

Taken off Facebook: IMPORTANT FIXTURE NEWS Due to stadium requests and staffing issues, we are now moving the SGB Championship fixture against Edinburgh Monarchs Speedway from Sunday 5th September to the week after on Sunday 12th. We appreciate that this is also the date of the Great North Run, so bearing this is mind we are moving the start time back to a 6.30 pm tapes-up, to allow for logistics around the city centre. Tickets for this fixture will be on sale from 1pm today via the following link https://www.trybooking.co.uk/BFMC As a result of this fixture change, we are also having to now move the fixture against Official Birmingham Speedway to Sunday 19th September. This will also be at a tapes up time of 6.30pm.

Thread already opened: -
Were they thinking of using Greg Blair to replace Kasper Andersen?
-
According to Updates site Berwick have named Greg Blair at number 8, yet they are not using R/R. How does that work??

He was possibly getting stick off the Redcar fans at the 4's after a meeting between Redcar and Newcastle (Richie riding for the Diamonds at the time) a year or two before(?).
-
Still pushing it for a 4pm start at Brough.

Not sure how Ben Barker can be involved when Newcastle are at home to Kent? https://www.speedwaygb.co.uk/news.php?extend.39375

Poole v Redcar. Championship. 11th August 2021
StevePark replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Taken off Poole website: As a further update and clarification regarding the unfortunate enforced postponement of Wednesday night's scheduled league encounter, Poole boss Dan Ford has revealed that the "situation was more dire than initially thought" Ford confirmed that the extent of the NHS Track and Trace "pinging" went far beyond the two staff members employed by Gaming International, the stadium landlords. "Since initially being informed that we could not gain access to the stadium we have learned that a number of key personnel amongst our own staff have been directed to isolate, including our Clerk of the Course, other licensed pits officials, some turnstile operatives, plus a number of the stadium's security and Health and Safety team. "So, even if we had been permitted to use the premises we would still have encountered significant issues in staging the meeting. That said, we fully understand the disappointment of all supporters who were looking forward to attending on Wednesday, and that we can only apologise once again to anyone who has been inconvenienced, especially the travelling fans from Redcar. "All pre-purchased tickets have now been refunded accordingly and we now look ahead to being able to resume meetings here at Wimborne Road again, beginning next Wednesday with the visit of Scunthorpe. "As and when we have a restaging date for the Redcar fixture we will advise, and hopefully we will still be able to welcome Bears fans on the new date." Ford has also confirmed that the revised date for the Pirates visit to Scunthorpe will now go ahead on Friday 10th September. -

Now, does this mean IF he tests positive (and I hope he tests negative), all the Edinburgh team, mechanics and promotion and all those of teams they have faced recently, have to self isolate (as they would have been in close contact with him, I would presume)?
