If it's a Double Header the Diamonds HAVE to run first (rules). -

Dogs run on Tues, Wed & Thurs nights + Fri and Sat afternoons. That leaves Monday and the only way we can do that is move up to the Premiership League (or whatever it's called). -

Average too high to guest away, but with the 5% it's OK for home matches. -
Taken off Facebook: Super Stevie Worrall will be back in the black and white next Sunday at 4.00pm when the former Newcastle favourite pulls on the No.1 Diamonds' race jacket for one more thrilling afternoon's racing. Ben Barker is, of course, still sidelined with the nasty hand injury he sustained on press day, and Stevie Worrall has agreed to take the guest booking when the Leicester Lions drop by in Championship action. Tickets are still available pre-sale online by visiting Www.trybooking.co.uk/BCCY Its another double-header with the Gems tackling the Lion Cubs in the NDL following the Championship clash. This is one not to miss... get your tickets and get along to cheer Steve Worrall leading the Diamonds for one night only. SUNDAY JUNE 20TH, 2021, 4.00PM... DOORS 3.00PM

Yes, indeed, but I did say IF they have to be replaced by a guest. Perhaps I should have said "If they are replaced by a guest", but R/R remains an option. God knows how that would work, if they remain on their *number from the start of the season!
-
No. They would go into the main body if their average meant they were 1-5 in the averages. The "killer" is though, if they have to be replaced with a guest, they can only be replaced by another Rising Star on or below their starting *number, is how I believe it works.

Think you will find that Jason Pipe replaced George English and Darren Hartley replaced Jason Pipe in 2020. In 2021 Nigel Hinchliffe replaced Darren Hartley. So it's just two managers this year. Nigel Hinchcliffe now named as manager on the website. Hopefully they will correct it to the right spelling! -
Poole v Berwick 9th June 2021. Championship
StevePark replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Somebody will correct me if wrong, as I'm not fully versed on the 2021 rules, but IIRC it's a tac sub ride is when a rider replaces another rider, but only gets the 'basic' pts (e.g 3 for a win), a tac ride is when a rider takes his own ride but points are doubled if he beats an opponent. But as I say, this may have changed for 2021. -

11.06.2021 - Scunthorpe v Newcastle
StevePark replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I think you know..... but for the uninitiated, there are three reasons why not...... 1) his shoulder injury 2) he's now living back in Denmark and the most important one.... 3) Carol wouldn't allow it!!! -

BIRMINGHAM v REDCAR WEDS JUNE 2ND

"The visitors in particular," which means some Birmingham riders weren't happy either. Also it says “On the day itself as well, because of the greyhound trials that were happening on Wednesday this week..." That'll be the BAGS meeting, that happen EVERY Wednesday and will continue to do so throughout the year, meaning the track staff won't get on to the speedway track until after the last race at 159pm for every home meeting this season. -

Reading the statement http://www.birmingham-speedway.com/_mobile/news.php?extend.2997 it is clear to me (a mere outsider), that the meeting should have been called off days ago and rearranged for when Redcar are there in the League (i.e making it the Cup match instead). “Firstly we had an unexpected issue with our temporary stand zones which delayed admission a bit" "We had to delay the start for around an hour or so while some work was carried out but it’s not an easy task on limited resources as well as being up against the clock." “Don’t forget as well the track hasn’t been used for 18 months or so and press and practice last week was the first time we’d had the opportunity to get bikes back out there and try and turn the track over." “We’ve been working a hell of a lot on the track lately but we have to admit that we’re struggling massively when it comes to equipment and resources too. With the break-ins and the fire vandalism, we’ve got two essential pieces of equipment still being repaired." “On the day itself as well, because of the greyhound trials that were happening on Wednesday this week, we couldn’t get to work on the track properly until after 2pm. That was far from ideal and with it being 26 degrees, no sooner were we getting water onto the track it was drying up more-or-less instantly." The last two quotes say to me "We couldn't prepare the track properly in the time we had." They knew about these problems well before yesterday and therefore should have called it off IMO.
