Taken off Newcastle Speedway Supporters Club on Facebook: It will have been 18 months since our last social event, and now with restrictions lifting what better time to all get together again and enjoy a great night in each others company! Our riders will be there, our promotion will be there, and hopefully all of you will be too! We will have a talk-in with the guys who matter, giving you the chance to ask any burning questions you may have. We will hopefully also have a few flashback races, maybe some bingo, and some music and of course Grants famous catering van will be there to provide everyone with some top notch grub!! We aren't charging for this event, entry will be FREE but there will be a donation bucket going round for any contributions anybody would like to make to the club We look forward to seeing you all on 20th August, South Gosforth Social Club, 7-11pm

You (well not you, obviously!!) can guest for the home side as many times as you like, you can't guest for the visiting team two weeks in a row (so the guests from Sunday gone for Redcar, can't guest for Berwick this Sunday). Dan Thompson as a guest for Matty is an interesting one. Riding at no.5 is a bit different to riding at no.7, but could be interesting. Ash Morris could be a decent shout.

Berwick will be without Leon Flint (Team GB U-23 at Brokstedt). No other meetings in the UK in the Championship, but rather limited options for a guest for Matty. We can go up to 6.79. Which brings in the likes of Tom Brennan (6.09), Paul Starke (5.98) and Theo Pijper (6.55). There are others but on much lower averages.

Kyle Howarth as guest. Taken off Newcastle Speedway Facebook page: We have a quick update for everyone regarding Matty Wethers after his heavy fall last night at Redcar. Matty sustained a a dislocated shoulder, which was put back into place last night, but has also unfortunately fractured his humerus. He is still in James Cook Hospital, where his wife is on her way to join him. We obviously all wish Matty a speedy recovery and send our best wishes out to him. For tomorrows home Derby fixture we have enlisted the guest services of Leicester's Kyle Howarth, who scored a very impressive 12 points earlier in the season at Newcastle with his Leicester squad. We obviously hope that he can go out there tomorrow with a repeat performance! Tickets are still available for tomorrow to purchase online through the try booking link www.trybooking.co.uk/BDTC OR VIA THE TURNSTILES TOMORROW AFTERNOON!

Edinburgh vs Glasgow - 23/07/21
StevePark replied to JanAndersen's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
How is it nonsense? They want people at the track. If it's a fair way to travel then the stream is a good option. The nearer you are the more likely you are to go to the track. It's common sense on Edinburgh's part IMO. -

Let's hope we can discuss all things speedway without the petty bickering and name calling..... Adam Roynon returns to the team on Friday (Taken off Newcastle Speedway Facebook Page): Some very welcome news for Diamonds Fans, in the shape of our number 2 Adam Roynon Racing, returns this weekend just in time for the Derby meetings! Adam has been out with a shoulder injury since his heavy fall down at Scunthorpe on the 11th June, but we are thrilled to have him back in the team line-up for the fixtures against Redcar Bears Speedway this Friday and Sunday! The Diamonds will take to this weekends action with a full and complete line-up for the first time this season, and every one of our lads are 100% geared up for what promises to be an explosive couple of meetings!
