Practice Sun 22nd Mar. Press Day 23rd March, but keep an eye on things as this may change. BUT... in addition Facebook statement: Unfortunately, with the current global situation with coronavirus, we are making the decision to postpone the press and practice social event on the Sunday evening, until the situation becomes clearer. We have not taken this decision lightly but the health and safety of all our staff, riders and supporters is of our upmost importance. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter. Further details will be released in due course.

He's said it on Facebook: This is what he said (copied and pasted from his status): "Not the best start to a day, but life moves on and there’s more serious things going on in the world right now, to dwell too much on the news I’ve received this morning. Today I have been released from my duties as Newcastle Speedway Team Manager. May I wish the club and the riders all the best for the season ahead and beyond. There’s been no falling out. Just sometimes decisions have to be made, even if it’s ones we don’t like!"

Ruud. Robbo was always great to interview (when I did the interviews for Bob Tasker/GRT Media). Ask him a question and he would just talk (maybe for not as long as Neil Machin would, mind!).

My initial thought is that British Speedway is rather behind the times as far as riders for the Gems are concerned, as all seven have been named! Plus Leon hasn't been named in an NL 1-7 (I know that doesn't mean he hasn't signed for anybody), so the plot thickens!!

William Hill don't own the stadium now, but I get your point!!

The 90th Anniversary Meeting (29th March with a 5pm start) is £10 for adults & £5 for concessions and you get to see Bjarne Pedersen again. That should encourage people to come.
