Who rattled your cage 😉 just following the BSF tradition of going completely off topic for at least 5 pages of any given thread 😃

I would say that man for man (yes I know teams are made up with Prem riders as well) an EL team would beat a PL team 9 times out of 10. However, as you know, I wear 2 coats and would say that, Darcy Ward aside I enjoyed the racing in the PL more last season. The EL is a higher standard than the PL but that does not necessarily equate to better racing.

Craig Cook? Jason Doyle is the sort of rider the premier should welcome. Excellent to watch on the track, always gives 100% and a genuine draw crowd wise. Having seen him in action in the pits before and during meetings he's an excellent captain. Always willing to help out the youngsters ( provided they're willing to listen), geeing up the team and a good laugh to boot. Keeps the team on their toes. In short I'd have him lead my team any day of the week.

Any particular reason why?

As far as I am aware travelling does not count.

Don't think the BSPA are being quite straight on that one. I believe the tier 5 allows 20 hrs a week with a secondary employer.

Speedway Best Pairs

Surely that would depend on wether he's signed a contract and if he has wether or not the FIM thinks it will stand up in court? -
Somerset are hosting an evening in aid of the flood victims in the area on 07/03/2014 with the Mangled Wurzels providing the entertainment. Should be a great evening.

Ward Can He Win The Title This Year.?
Pirate Nick replied to stratton's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Personally think that the Champ will come from the following group of riders. Tai, if he can maintain his form. As has been said, historically it's always been hard to defend the title. NKI: consistant at the back end of the season. If he can improve on his early season form he will be in the mix. Emil: based on last year, if he stays clear of injury. IMO he's in the same class that people are putting Ward in ie needs to calm down a bit and realise he doesn't need to win every race. Darcy: see Emil. Hopefully he will have learnt a lot from his 1st year. Chris Holder: again if he can regain his form. Always on quick bikes and I would never rule him out. Really wouldn't like to say which one will come out on top but as a gambling man NKI and Chris @7/1 are good value. -

Most of the luck he had ws bad luck surely? You could argue that Chris and Emil would have been in the mix but for their injuries perhaps, but I still think Tai would have shaved it. If Tai struggles at all this year it won't be because of luck it will be because he's set the benchmark and others have risen to the challenge and upped their game. -
And is one of the best tracks in the country, with a great clubhouse and good food. Easily accessible from the M5 and very popular with visiting supporters.

Yes it's in the town. Shares the stadium with the rugby club. Nice club bar, not enough wheelie bins though

Have you ever been to Workington?
-
Given the amount of money they've splashed out on the team this year I'd be very disappointed if they don't win anything this year if I was a Worky fan.

Based on the current fixtures and not including any potential play off clashes Ty will miss 5 meetings. Nick would miss 11 and if he enters the World U21 individuals and is selected for the Aussie U 21 squad this (including practice days) could potentially add another 7 meetings to that list.
