Shanes on shield form is much better than Clegg so Clegg wouldn't be the best number 7 and i expect there will be others. You are once again failing to realise that Klindt, Harris, Nicholls etc were not available to Wolves to sign. Klindt has put his thoughts in the local paper which is available on line which he says he was disappointed not to be used by Wolves since 2012 when he needed a team place so when they called this season he opted to bide his time to see what other offers he got and when Wolves called three weeks later he had already signed for Poole.It seems he would only sign for Wolves if he had no other offers and knowing his average there were always going to be other offers. However in my opinion Wolves will improve and be play off contenders, it is very early days to make sweeping judgements.

Well i think the Wolves team isn't bad Skornicki will improve as will Masters, thought Howarth rode well monday Thorsell looked amazing monday but not so good tonight but overall a decent top 5 but the reserves are terrible even at home they were awful. Well he passed Clegg off 15 metres! and monday did the same. ok Clegg is awful but a pass is a pass

Welcome Lewis Kerr, i think he will do well and could improve his average but one question is why did he say his recent crash when he fell off was not his fault surely if you fall off on your own without contact it has to be your fault.

It is a disaster for Kyle and the team and the fans because most of us have really taken him to our hearts, he is local and would do anything to help the team. I really hope he can come back to the team sometime this season. I agree he was on target for a big year, he must feel gutted this has happened after one race. I am sure he will help the team in whatever way he can and will help young James Shanes who i felt did very well last night.

Ok not crap but not good enough for this league, he only got 4 points for Peterborough the other night then apparently moaned about the track being like a field bet he moaned last week it was too slick, some riders always have an excuse, surprised he didn't say he had trouble with his bikes.

Don't want Lindback back if last season is anything to go by!! What rule can be fiddled to get someone better than Kyle Newman, quite impressed by the other Kyle last night though, thought he rode well.

There is nobody of the scoring power of Newman on his average, there is no getting away from it we are going to be a lot weaker without him unless we make other changes, i think we should just go with R/R until we can assess who else is maybe a weak link because there were several last night, maybe have a better idea after wednesday.

Is it possible they decided to run the shield in the old format as it relates to last season. Enjoyed the meeting overall although the two 5-1's at the end were disappointing and why there were such large gaps between races at the start was puzzling and annoying, some good races though and Jack Holder very unlucky to get excluded, he seemed to improve as the meeting progressed. Brady started well and getting pushed towards the fence by Lindgren i don't think helped his confidence but was on the pace in most races. KK was his usual self at Monmore, Hans rode well particularly when winning heat 11. Shanes rode well and really think he could make a decent rider. Klindt rode better than i expected which was a bonus.

Why would we want to replace Shanes rode well last night quite impressed myself and Simon Lambert is crap.

Not desputing the result of that race because i wasnt directly in line with the finish but looked very close, impressed with Shanes looks promising.

I think Wolves should win this easily, still going though to support my team but expecting a poor night from Klindt, hope he proves me wrong. A lot has been made of his low average and he is much better than his average but in my view his career has been largely disappointing.He should clean up at reserve but will he?

He cant guest without a team place in Britain. I knew you would think it is all Matt Ford's fault. Makes sense to me. Lebedevs probably more expensive too.

Not sure sbout Shanes but he is only there to make up the numbers so if he scores a point or two that is fine but in my opinion he certainly won't be the worst reserve in the league.
