King's Lynn Vs Poole 1st July
foreverblue replied to Star Lady's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I also hope it is a stonking meeting, been going to Kings Lynn away since Mark Loram rode for us which seems a distant memory. I think all our riders like riding at Saddlebow Road, Magic will be fantastic as always, Watt is better than he was but still up and down and is probably one rider who doesn't always go well at King's Lynn,North has had some good meetings there but although Holder likes riding there still not back to his best and i would say our reserves are evenly matched, so hoping for a close one although not expecting a win. -

Tougher in Poland than here he has score poorly in Poland before and been ok here. -

Zagar is usually good at home but you are correct our strength is at reserve especially with Davey struggling with an arm injury. Going to be a tough one. -

Oh didn't see that, not good, hope Dak is ok and we need Davey at Belle Vue. -
I think Tai in his own way is nearer to T Rick than anyone else in the modern era and could go on to win many more gp titles, Ward is a fantastic rider and in league racing very few are his equal but in gp racing you need to get out the gate consistently and unless he improves his gating world championships are going to be a distant dream.

The fact that Kacper qualified shows he is in good form, the fact Fricke didn't maybe is irrelevant to tomorrow and we all know he is better than what he showed in the qualifier but you never know Kacper may carry his qualifier form in to tomorrow and surprise us all, i don't think he has a fear of smaller tracks. -

He may not get many points tomorrow but he is doing his job for the team and increased his average by over a point. -
Leicester V Swindon Mon 29th June Sky Match

This looks like for one meeting only prior to Ward taking over the number one spot and although for only one meeting, no doubt meidzinski will be keen to show Swindon what he is capable of because he is a very good rider. -

When did Kacper last ride there? Janowski may not be in love with the place but he has had some reasonable scores there. -
I may be biased but i would say TRick is the best of those..

Exactly why i would have chosen him over Watt, really enjoyed watching him when he rode for Poole and so exciting to watch, he will never be accused for lack of effort. Poole are there next week, help!! -

Me included! Milik going to Kings Lynn is going to make the play offs a lot tougher. Give me Milik and Pawlicki over Watt and North anytime, i still stand by that even if North has had a good season so far and Watt's form is improving. -

I think both Lambert's have had good seasons but Lakeside and Peterborough tracks are completely different -

If any meeting can be an easy home win its this one. 55-35 my prediction. Doesn't matter who rides where, all the home riders should win races with the possible exception of morris. -
Poole at a tenner was packed, probably bad crowd due to the weather.

When have i condoned any of Poole's dubious fiddling tactics? If i think they have done something wrong or underhand i say so. -

I would support a Poole rider in a race where no brits are in but there was no one shouting louder than me when Harris won and i shall be shouting for Tai as i am assuming most people will even if he doesn't ride here. Of course i will also shout for Cook and Harris but if there was a race where not British riders were involved then i don't see why i shouldn't support someone who rides for my club. -
I don't think Greg needs to learn anything, he is racing and all he needs is room to race, if someone is going to take his front wheel when he is already close to the fence, then then he isn't being allowed to race. Nicki rode this meeting as we all know he can, he is a fantastic rider.
-
Not gutted at all i like to watch great racing on a great racetrack, Nicki is always box office and the sport will miss him when he doesn't ride anymore and he is one of the best riders in the world, he doesn't have to resort to dirty tactics to win. Options Greg didn't have any as Nicki left him no option.
-
Yes well done Nicki, shows you can win meetings cleanly without the need to put other riders at risk of serious injury.

We have stayed at Bridgend which is only about a 20 minute train ride.
