  1. The fact that North has dropped over a point from July averages says it all, got rid of the wrong Australian, should have kept Josh G.
  2. Even with Holder and North scoring 6 between them we still could have won, after the tac ride we should not have allowed them to get back in to a winning position but once Roynon had won heat 12 the writing was on the wall.
  3. The meeting as a whole was very enjoyable, some excellent racincouldg and loads of passing on a good, well prepared track. They were worried about the which was probly weather so it went straight through without a interval so got to go home early. As it was it hardly rained at all, i think we had a very light shower but they had obviously had a bit of rain earlier. For the pirates the stand out rider, not surprisingly was Janowski, Watt rode well too as did Gomolski and the reserves, Starke looked very good early on. For Wolves Wells was outstanding, Lindgren and P.K clearly not at their best but battled hard in the vital races, Thorsell rode pretty well too, reserves were a bit off until Roynon got a surprising heat 12 win which was vital to Wolves. All in all a good night out except the result which was in doubt right until the last lap of heat 15 when Holder got alongside Lindgren but couldn't quite manage the pass, this was after Janowski had just managed to get past Wells.
  4. We should have won, we threw it away, Gomolski rode pretty well actually as it was Wolves, a track he isn't known to like too much. How can we drop Holder, you told me he got 14 last time, only needed half of that to win comfortably, you told me Janowski was crap at Monmore and i have said North is out of form, so as usual you know nothing. I also said we will not win the play offs with this 1-5. Good meeting though with lots of passing and re-passing.
  5. So for 2.50 i get a wolves v leicester lions programme with a 2 page insert for tonights match!!
  6. Darcy has never said he would want someone to die. So every time Darcy's name is mentioned we are to expect everything he has done wrong or supposed to have done wrong to be brought up to justify what someone else has said, never mind he has served his ban for being over the limit and in the other cases been cleared on any wrongdoing.
  7. Your last statement is defending what boon said, i know he is a friend of yours but those comments were in extremely bad taste and speedway would be far worse without riders like Darcy.
  8. He has always been a pretty decent gater as far as i remember and that can only help, yes he jumps the start now and again but that is also not a bad thing because you rarely get excluded for it, so worse case is a re-run. We should win tonight but probably not as much as predicted because Gomolski won't score many so others have to cover but our reserves should do well although Roynon is a pretty good replacement for Blackbird.
  9. Apparently was ill and being sick between rides so fair play to him for riding at all.
  10. Thats double what Josh got! and he will be better tomorrow i am sure, gp showed Holder and Magic in good form, Newman should clean up at reserve without Blackbird and Starke should beat Bates who only had 3 rides at Peterborough friday, don't know why that was.
  11. It was not a full team, Josh G rode and got 3, i think a gp winner may get more than 3!! P.K and Freddie were riding better than they are now too, Blackbird is currently injured.
  12. only started getting racing when it rained, should have continued,
  13. Going myself for sure, maybe see you there and Shovvy too. We have a good chance in this one, Freddie and P.K are woeful at the moment, Kyle goes well there so we should be ok at reserve and i see Josh Bates only had three rides at Peterborough tonight, no idea why but not a positive from Wolves perspective, Wells and Thorsell are ok ut museilek isn't great so hopefully a away win.
  14. The issue being discussed is about this meeting when the rules are known and meetings can be completed with a heat 10 cut off, if meetings had to be all 15 heats we would never get the season finished.
  15. They only wanted it called off in heat 9 because they were losing, do you think if they were winning they would still have wanted it called off, they should have ridden heat 10. If they didn't fine them it opens another can of worms for meetings to be manipulated. What they did was against the rules and were rightly fined.
  16. And the ones stupid enough to go got stung for !8 pounds, i would suggest there would have been quite a few more if the prices had been reduced.
  17. I completely agree with the decision to fine them, we all remember meetings in far worse conditions and fans are continually being short changed by promotions not giving value for money, Coventry still wanted 18 pounds for a meeting that was never going to go the distance and on monday i watched 15 heats for a tenner with a pretty decent programme too which is rare in itself and why is it that clubs produce a programme that covers two meetings and expect us to pay extra, when especially away fans, we are unlikely to attend both meetings.
  18. I know Poole are not being blamed for once but some have said if the scores had been reversed perhaps the respective management would have had different views which by implication some do blame Poole for ensuring the meeting was completed in 10 heats. Coventry themselves may have had a different point of view had they have been winning, in retrospect i suspect they probably feel now that they shouldn't have tried so hard to get it on and let the track stay waterlogged as it must have been earlier in the day.
  19. When i got there the track looked like a muddy field in places but they had done a good job to get even in that condition, it wouldnt have started normally but because the cameras were there they probably felt they had to gjve it a go. It was never going to be a great meeting with the track in that condition, riders accept it but they dont like it and neither do fans who had paid 18 quid to get in only to see a 10 heat meeting.
  20. They were always going to get fined for refusing to race and if Coventry hadn't been losing would they have acted in a different way.
