Redcar V Berwick Ch 4th May

100% right. He's an expert at demotivating the fans though -
To me it looked like as though because Ipswich and in particular Rory Schlein weren't happy with the track being heavy and wet at the cup meeting earlier in the season, they decided to make it wet and heavy again but ballsed it up completely so that nobody could ride it.Nice welcome for the new riders.

What a complete embarrassment of a track and a team tonight. No football so why was the track in a mess at the start.I know some of the new signings may be a stop-gap till the averages change but the supporters are still having to pay for the pleasure of sitting in the cold and watching defeat after defeat.Surely the purpose of a team manager is to manage the riders, work out by talking to them what any problems are and having sensible discussions.Claus may or may not have been in the wrong but he was scoring a lot more points at home than some other retained riders.Mr. Havelock is going to have to up his game (if he can) a hell of a lot or he's going to be one of the poorest team managers in the club's history.Absolutely no confidence in his ability at all. -
No way.Need to get a few more team changes before we go to Glasgow

Bit unprofessional if Claus took the huff because he wasn't in heat 15 last week but you can see his point. At least if he was in that heat there was a chance he would have gated and got out in front. The way Lewis was gating last week it was a near certainty he was going to be last out the gate and if so didn't have a hope of getting past the Glasgow riders.Another weird decision by the manager whose coat should also be on a shaky peg.Lessons from last night would be to put a new bulb in the white exclusion light and wash the windows of the referee's box.I hope the trainee referee in the box last night wasn't paying too much attention to his teacher or that'll just be another idiot in the making. Also maybe get Dimitri to stop watching videos of Alex Edberg in his last Berwick appearances. He's obviously copying them in every detail.Fair play and congratulations to Scunthorpe. They rode and were managed like a professional sports team. -

No panic.Once the new averages come out and the reserves are Liam and Danny maybe Theo Pijper will fit in at No.4.Well he might have if the Glasgow meeting hadn't been rained off.Should have rearranged it for the first dry day! -

Think the management is even less competent than the team and that's a big problem -

But he's not beating the reserves he's riding against at the moment so how is a spell at reserve going to help?Equally think Danny would struggle at No.2.The two are too similar. -

Instead of talking about possible team changes even before averages change should someone not be looking at why some riders are not doing as well as expected. The way Liam rode at end of last season was totally different to the start of this one.Presumably he hasn't forgotten how to ride the bike so is it the track/his bike or engine/confidence.Same with Dimitri who in the past has flown round Shielfield for other teams.Claus started off first two meetings almost unbeatable out of the gate but now looks a good bit slower. There has to be some reason why Berwick riders consistently are outgated on their own track and why their bikes seem slower than the opposition. Is the team spirit not as good as we are constantly told? If,as he said on microphone last night, the team manager said Berwick riders were outgated in almost every heat then why was he not up at the tapes to see what was going wrong and giving advice based on his experience.Does riding and travelling abroad take too much out of riders and they are not really committed to any one team.If there are underlying problems with track/bikes/set-ups/confidence then unless these are sorted then what is the point of team changes.Any new riders will just get involved with the same problems.Over to you, promoters and team manager -

Maybe not too late to enter this Berwick team in the National League as it hasn't started yet.Anybody want to start a Berwick 2018 post? -
Couldn't understand much of what he said thankfully because what we could hear was garbage.Dennis McLeary said they would sort out microphone problems for next week. Please don't unless you put his on permanent silent. Last time I passed the Duns track a week or two ago it looked like if it was a hard frost it would have been great for ice speedway

Calm down with the praise and memories. There's not many free Saturdays in the fixture list to fit in The Dick Barrie Testimonial meeting. -

Don't like the idea of dropping riders once they are signed but if there is a need for a double change how about Bellego or Kus and Zach Wajknecht instead of Bridger and the 2 point rider -

For years now we've been saying the best way to get better racing is to whack a few yards off the football pitch at the corners.Surely now that Berwick Rangers get one or two players sent off each game this would be the ideal time to do that.Better racing for the speedway and a smaller pitch for the nine or ten players left to run about on so they won't get too tired.Seems a win-win situation to me. -
Almost right there. It was actually a table had been offered- to put all the prospective offers on.

If we can sign a good reserve at number 6 with the potential to ride like Simon Lambert last night and then a decent replacement for Seb we can still do something bit special this year.So absolutely no pressure on Scott and the rest of the management team to get it right!!! -
Put in Ashley Morris instead of Alex Edberg and you might be better.Number1 could be more difficult though.Nick Morris?
-
Might be difficult to find someone with that average who's is available and has potential to increase the average.Andre Compton or Anton Rosen?
