It looked like hard riding from Ryan right enough and couldn't be classed as first bend bunching on the second bend.Still must all be friends as he's guesting today for us.Personally I thought Sam Masters efforts were much worse in heat 13.In the original running when Seb stopped it looked like he rode straight at TJ but missed him but at least he didn't give up and did exactly the same in the rerun but with more success this time.I think the referee's box window was probably filled in with shale like everything else last night! No complaints about the result though.Edinburgh rode the conditions much better and seemed to want the result more so congratulations to them for that.

That'll be because kevin Doolan's visa application has been turned down

It's a very unique dialect possibly of a quite inbred nature

how can they be expected to declare their intention before the AGM when that decision has surely got to be based on any decisions made at the AGM regarding team strenghs, leagues etc.Looks like another typical BSPA decision based on a complete lack of any common sense

Track looked really heavy at the start so Alex would be in poor fettle after the walk round. Also just walked back to the pits at the of the meeting without joining the rest of the team on the centre green.Maybe too many injuries have made him worried about riding on a heavy track but he didn't seem a happy bunny last night. -
If you sign an assessed 7 point rider and the next 5 meetings are away they won't have seen any of the tracks before. At least the names in the last post have all ridden in this country before.

What happened to Josef Tabaka who rode at Edinburgh?I know he was injured a while ago but he was quite quick around Berwick

For what it's worth I really enjoyed last night's meeting too.Close scores and fairly close racing.Guests for both sides trying and scoring as you would hope.It was also really good to see Richard Hall (and Oliver Greenwood too) coming out after the meeting and racing hard for four laps on four occasions I think.Nice to see someone trying to get set-up right when there is a bit of time.It was also good to see Liam Carr riding confidently again (69.4 seconds is a pretty good time at his stage of recovery). Also good to see Jade Mudgway riding again after the meeting. All in all a good night both during the meeting and after till 9.30.Credit where credit's due this week -

don't know about last night as wasn't there but against Glasgow if they had watered the track half way through it might have made a difference-but there again it might not What average is James Wright nowadays.See he was second in testimonial at Workington last night and report said it was a gater,s paradise.Home from home at berwick,eh? -

Not sure what average Ben is on but it's less than 5 I think. If that's right and there is about 8.5 points to play with between numbers 2,7 and the shortage to 42.5 would there not be a chance to sign a stronger number 7-possibly someone with up to about a 4 point average.Absolutely no idea if somebody like that exista but just an idea. -
Hynek Stichauer and Joe Jacobs

Fair point but short term he would be stronger than r/r even if not there every week
-
on one website his average at end of 2014 is 5.55.

Be better with Matej Zagar. He can also have a look at how Matic is getting on seeing as how he recommended him

What The Visa Issues Could Mean For Teams.
alang replied to doners1234's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
If Mr Harkess says as quoted in that article that new regulations were brought in in April and November and unless you had gone through the small print you wouldn't know what was happening then as chairman of the BSPA surely he is showing negligence in his duties, alongwith other members of the BSPA,by not reading the small print.Whose responsibility is it, if not the people who are supposed to run the sport,to check all this out and then advise others of these decisions? You can't blame the authorities for changing the rules if you then can't be arsed to properly read them. -

Maybe the immigration authorities should also question how the Polish Speedway authorities can stop Polish riders racing in UK.The licence issue sounds like an excuse because surely there is supposed to be free movement of workers within the EU. -
maybe they've had enough of all the hassle and given up.maybe we are looking for a new promoter as well as a new sponsor and new team.maybe they started to read all 140 odd pages on this topic and lost the will to live.

On a similar theme,if there is supposed to be free movement of people and workers within the eu how on earth can the polish authorities stop polish riders being employed in the premier league.Maybe the Borders Agency needs to look at a bit more than just Aussie riders. This sport is just a legal joke and it needs a few test cases to sort out the whole bloody mess.

Next two signings Dave Hoggart as co-promoter/team manager and Simon Stead as number 1
-
Quite simple really.Well beaten by a team who had reliable machinery, rode as a team who wanted to win and could get out of the gate first in virtually every heat.Complete opposite to Berwick tonight.Funny how Berwick seemed to ride the track better during the football season when there was less time for those in charge to faff around with it.If it's like this for the Sky meeting it could be a little bit embarrassing.

Wethers and Branford would be better.
