It is a bit soon to say that Davey will not be riding! We just have to see how the treatment goes over the next 7/10 days! -

Ooops! well I saw CrazySue if that is any help? -
Kev! There is no way I am going for a romantic river cruise with Jo! 1. I am a happily married woman. 2. I get seasick walking along Poole Quay!
-
Joanne, you can hit the clubs with Halo and the girls then! Actually if we can drag Crazy Sue, Queen Bee and the Fairies along aswell as Tina, Madamemuck and Tiddiewoo I don't think Prague will know what hit them! Oh but we need to feed lots of chocolate to Halo. so she is all fat and spotty for the trip!

WRONG! I have already purchased the tickets for the Race-off and Final in Poland and I can tell you now they were 10 times cheaper than this country! 4 tickets for the race-off total price 60.00 zloty = £9.44 4 tickets for the final total price 120.00 zloty = £19.15

Who Met Who At Cardiff?
SuzieQ replied to batesie's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
In which case you were in the same hotel as Shaz and I! -
well: 1. Maybe he felt that Antonio had shown that he was just fine and dandy by running straight across him! I am sorry but every time I see that clip it makes me giggle! 2. Many riders do not go to check how the other riders are, the same as in league matches etc many riders do not run out to check on a team mate after a crash! It is a state of mind thing, and hopefully there will be a few riders on here that agree with this!
-
So we either quit the harassment with cameras after racing incidents with the riders or we accept the tantrums and occassional 4 letter words! We cannot have it both ways!
-
Final time: 58.8

Doubt if Drew will even give it a second thought actually! Family stick up for family! I am sure after the awful night that Jason had with Stevie Wonder as the Ref, there was a lot more to discuss than how the camera crew were treated!

See You All In Cardiff!

Hey Brit! You in the same hotel as me again this year? -
I thought that Matej Ferjan was riding for Hungary! Obviously not going by the line up above!
-
As Meatloaf would say: Two Outta Three Ain't Bad!
-
Well I shall no doubt train/bus it to the stadium in the afternoon and then taxi back to the airport afterwards! Thanks to all that have given some advice here!
-
Hey! I spent a week in Denmark a couple of years ago for the SWC and that was fine, the first few days I was alone and then Trees and her mate Di came out and stayed with me! It was an adventure and no doubt will be in Sweden too! still if things get too bad I know enough people that will be out there to help me!
-
Thanks, you are very kind but I will make my own way to the track, I am a stubborn British Girl remember! That and I just love the thought of getting lost in another country and reading maps, finding my route etc!
-
Argh! Trust Ryanair to fib about where their airport is! Think I am going to need a lot more Kronor for that night then as a taxi from the airport and back again may be a little bit pricey! although I may get a bus or something to the stadium as I arrive at lunchtime! Oh dear, I can see hassles with this trip already!
-
Can someone (Zetters no doubt) please advise me how far it is from the Skavsta Airport in Stockholm to the Eskilstuna Stadium ? I am flying out just for this round and then back to London the following morning before jetting off to Poland so any details would be appreciated. Thanks
-
Yep and I'm guessing I am gonna loose you again this year! as you head off to Sams Bar and PoW to meet this lot and I go off the the Oz Bar to meet my mates!!!!

British Gp Reserves Named
SuzieQ replied to Lioness's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Hmmmmmmmm! But how about looking at the larger picture (based on the EL averages in this weeks Speedway Star) Simon Stead 6.46 from 13 matches and 52 rides Leigh Lanham 6.45 from 12 matches and 49 rides Eddie Kennett 5.40 from 4 matches and 20 rides When you look at it that way, Eddie well deserves his place as a reserve at the British GP. I have nothing against Leigh, heck I have tried to attend each staging of his Testimonial and sold tickets for him but he would be well out of his depth at Cardiff. Eddie (if he does get to have a ride) may well struggle but he is an up and coming prospect for British Speedway and needs to see how things are done at the top. I say "Go get 'em Eddie".................! but I am not being security guard at your van when you are there loading up one bit at a time! -
I sit on the lower level every year! this is mainly due to my fear of heights but I have no problem with view or atmosphere at all! I guess I just love the British GP!

Quote from the Bournemouth Echo: BJARNE Pedersen has absolved Nicki Pedersen of any blame over a racing incident in which the Pirate was knocked into the safety air fence in the final of the Swedish Grand Prix. The Poole RIAS rider was sent sprawling into the balloon on the third bend by his Danish compatriot, who tried to dive under Bjarne into third place at Eskilstuna. Nicki momentarily lost control of his bike as he powered into the corner on the inside, skittling Bjarne and his bike unceremoniously out of his way, and, despite not falling, was excluded as the prime cause of the stoppage. Bjarne, who finished third in the re-run behind winner Jason Crump and Tony Rickardsson, also escaped injury, although his bike sustained a lot of damage in the crash on May 14. He was quick, however, not to point the finger of blame at his Danish compatriot despite some scathing comments launched in Nicki's direction from Sky analyst and ex-Pirate Gary Havelock, who felt the former world champion had been totally out of order. Bjarne said: "It was one of those things that happen in speedway. You have to give these races your best shot and we are all going for the big points. When it's like that, incidents will happen."

There is a huge difference is knocking someone off and fencing them! If you knock them off them you basically colide and one falls! as opposed to what many on here think which is that Nicki fenced Bjarne on purpose! Anyway - what was your dad doing talking to the Danes anyway?
