Just a quick update on Lewis He had the op yesterday afternoon and has had the right collarbone plated. He has returned home tonight and begins a period of rest with a check up planned in 3 weeks. He passes on his thanks to all who have wished him well and hopes to catch up with everyone soon.

There was no mechanical issue with Lewis Roses' crash. No chains snapping. He went into the corner very low and slow and his front wheel hit the edge of the hole and stopped and momentum took him over the high side. Lewis went into theatre this afternoon at 3.30pm, so hopefully feeling better once the plate is in.

Cannot have a guest , only rider replacement. Mat and reserves. Can only sign a rider up to 5.12 as new average not applicable at cut off date which was midnight last night. New rider will do a job for us and is the best option open to Newcastle due to bad timing. Lewis is having op on bank hol Monday to plate his broken collarbone which he has broke in 3 places. Gutted for him as riding so well.

Should Tai Woffinden Ride For Team Gb ?
bringbackHalifax replied to robert72's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Well I am not a fan of Tai nor do I dislike him. I think he does a great job for British Speedway by being World Champ. I am proud to watch the GP as a Brit, whereas in the past I have been embarrassed to see our guy last all the time. I don't give a hoot whether he rides over here or not on a regular basis as no publicity comes from the league meetings anyway. But he does raise the profile by being world champ, especially if he does it for a third time. I hope R.Lambert picks and chooses in the future if it enables him to be world champ. Britain isn't the place to be at the moment, but pls don't think it's rosy in the garden in Poland and Sweden. The next 2 AGM's could pave the way for a changing of the power in the near future as at least we all know we are in the mire, the other two leagues are going to crash spectacularly as they are in denial. Then the guys will need somewhere to race............. -
Ullrich is guesting at 1 for Lasse for Redcar. This is crazy and double standards by the BSPA. Godfrey was speaking about Cookie not going to Peterboro due to 4 fixture clashes over the season where Peterboro would need guests, not being in the best interests of british speedway. Newcastle are then forced to go to Redcar with 4 guests in one nght. Redcar need a guest due to Lasse prepping for a Danish meeting on Friday which Ullrich is in but missing practice. Where the hell is the staging of this meeting in the best interests of british speedway ? Redcar had a blank Thursday a few weeks ago and all riders were available, or is that the real issue ?

Anton is not riding in Uk this year. Has already been over in December and taken all his gear back to Sweden.

Well it's this weekend that the rubber stamping takes place. With the 3 point man at reserve this effectively strengthens the teams as most ended the year with no 7's with an higher average. My worry is there will be about 11 rider departures from the league on the green sheets latest issue, so I believe there are not enough riders left for every one to reach 42ish. The money clubs will cough big bucks for joe average to back up top 3, the lesser well off clubs will pick up the scraps, but will not reach 40 points. The riders two years ago got told must have new silencer, they still have them as cannot sell them on as worth nothing. No concern about finances there. How about every track should have a countdown clock, compulsory. After every race clock resets to 5 mins after last rider has left the track from previous heat., 2 min buzzer still goes on after 3 mins, race starts at zero or rider excluded. If rider has 2 on the bounce clock runs down to zero then 2 mins. Interval 15 mins on the clock, but race countdown (5 mins) starts after the 10th min so no dragging out or home team manipulation. Interval after heat 10 or not at all.

Poole Vs The Aces For The Title
bringbackHalifax replied to Crazy robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Why have Belle Vue done that to the track on a night like this ? First time in years they have made an effort and they forget to tell their riders what they planned. You couldn't make it up. Well done Poole on the treble. Gutted ! -

Your new Czech already belongs to Kings Lynn, so won't be your asset.
