I understand Glasgow have pulled out of the Jubilee Cup. -

bringbackHalifax replied to Rob B's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Might be a late change with Mr Lambert now able to ride for the Aces after all. -
Need to get your fingers out and agree some jubilee cup dates as waiting for Ully and now Tom and Holme it could be season opener next year.

Havvy on comma made it fun tonight but 15 races starting at 7-30 and finishing at 9-50 is way too long -

Johnny Swales likes to add 40 mins to every meeting. Spends an awful amount of time on track during meetings. Did it at Newcy as well . Needs to remember its riders on bikes the crowd pay for not ex riders on tractors. Even Hayley said on at least two occasions the tractor should be coming in any time now and five minutes later they were still out. -
Belle Vue v Ipswich 8 august
bringbackHalifax replied to Baldyman's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I think the Belle Vue team have found set ups that give them top end speed, but makes it a little harder to get out of the gate. Hence the first lap chase. No team is strong enough to trouble them at home this season, it depends on the young German( he is gonna be a good one ) and Jyes away points but the rest can score at most places with maybe one or two struggling at Monmore. Even Lemo won’t get this one wrong, this year. -
Poor management not giving Flint a try. Kemp never looked like doing anything in his last 3 races. Does not matter who wins it’s no lasts that count and Kemp looked like a nailed on last in both races v Czechs

Newcastle now closed !!!
bringbackHalifax replied to Phil83's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Not strictly true. He had the option to move it on and get out last yr but he panicked that someone else thought they could make it pay and in his naivety he thought he could do it. The night after he was approached he announced he was carrying on and never even went back to let the frontman of the people who wanted to take on the club know before the announcement. Now the club is in such a sorry state, no one will do it now. -
Newcastle v Leicester 12th June 2022
bringbackHalifax replied to justathought's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Dark dark days for the Geordies. Rob is no speedway promoter and he should of walked at the end of last season. Not sure they will complete season as people will vote with their feet. Lions won well, but only matched Redcar score, however they could of contributed to the end of Newcastle and that will remove 7 league points from their current points total. Irony. -
KOC Sat 4 June - Glasgow v Edinburgh

Heat 14 instead of Hume. -
Rob should have stood to his guns and walked at the end of last season. He is a butcher by trade not a promoter. He got giddy with the takings from the wake and thought it’s okay. BWD on a high guarantee and scoring zilch is not good business. Not the first time it’s happened but Newcastle will have to build trust with the rider population as they talk among themselves and the current rumours will not help. If true good on Starkey for holding firm. I think Newcastle need a winning team to attract fans and they are 4 riders away from being competitive. Very dark clouds and less attractive for someone to step in than it was in November last year.

Newcastle vs Glasgow 8/5/22 4pm??
bringbackHalifax replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Nice of Jye whatsisname to comment though he is biased. To progress in speedway he needs all tracks to close except the 2 he can ride Belle Vue sometimes and Berwick.- 352 replies

Long term plan. No rider to replace retired Eddy. Come and do one meeting drop it, and we can have a facility for ages. Rider shortage sorted. -
28.03. Aces v Tigers - Northern League Cup
bringbackHalifax replied to Col's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Once Zagar gets himself sorted he will be at Belle Vue and they will then be stronger, but need more from Max and Brady at home. -

I hope this is genuine and not a fudge. Think this is a stop gap, and Ellis not around in a few weeks time. -
Have any of the riders been asked about use of their image ? Do they receive royalties ?
