  1. Im sure i read somewhere that Rowe didn't want to be a RS due to the point money involved compared to what he could earn being a none RS in a team.
  2. Can't see Buzz liking the tight lines round Foxhall, and from what i see of him this season in the Polish league he's still a scatty bugger lol why no Kemp? I know he rides better away from Foxhall but Rowe wasn't doing nowt special after the first couple of months home or away.
  3. I think there was actually a 5 man squad, not splitting hairs or nowt, im sure Steady said Jordan Palin was also part of the team as a back up under 21 rider i assume, and he was caught on camera congratulating Lambert/Bewley after the final race
  4. I thought the same to be fair, there was a slow motion replay and by the looks of it he was motionless soon as his helmet hit the track, so looked to me like he was knocked cold there and then, dunno how long for tho.
  5. I'm in the same boat, i've got sky Q but ain't bothered with Discovery + as yet, dunno if it's simple to sign up for or not and also not sure if their 12 month free trial starts from when you sign up for it or is it 12 months from when Discovery + was launched.
  6. Like many others prefer the old style scoring system but been having a quick count up using the old way of scoring where every ride counts and if my maths are right its summit like this, Artem 170/178, Bart 158/169, Emil 113/131, Freddie 110/122. First figure being every race counts, so the top 4 doesn't change, but still prefer old way of scoring
  7. From what ive seen of Kemp at Foxhall this yr he's turned into a bit of a gating tart, makes the gate he's fine, misses it and he hardly ever makes an impressive, also seems to ride the away tracks better then his home track, just hope he's not another of so many b4 him who is hyped up to much to soon and amounts to nothing.
  8. I think it was spoke about going to two RS next year per team, mind you it'll all change b4 then and probably not for the better either.
  9. Yeah Danny has been brilliant this year, it is a watered down league compared to what it was but just shows the older riders can still mix it with the younger ones, your got Danny the wrong side of 35, Harris 38, Andersen 39 and Nicholls 43 all having really good seasons, i think the new Rising Star boys can only dream about still being that good at that age, that is if they even get to that level to start with, and also have that long of a career in the sport.
  10. It was mentioned on the Edinburgh thread that rumour has it Kemp and Rowe don't get on as their now gonna be team mates at Edinburgh and Ipswich, dunno if there's any truth in it tho.
  11. Back in the day yeah riders rode for one team year after year, and a small minority still do now, the question was riders who ride for the same team for 4 yrs or more, it wasn't mentioned it doesn't count if they double up or not, the isn't many riders in the so called top league or don't double up year on year nowadays.
  12. Rowe started off really well but has tailed off the last month or so, still unsure about Kemp, seems to ride better away from Foxhall, looks hesitant at times and backs off if things get tight.
  13. Is it really 6yrs ago, god how time cuts by, but yeah the speedway world was robbed of a special talent when Darcy had his terrible accident, for all his off track antics no one can say he wasn't a class act on it, a truly natural talent on a bike.
  14. Danny King has done a lot more then 4 seasons for Ipswich, after that it's a struggle, Rory Schlien might be on his 4th year at Wolves.
  15. How does Douglas being as reserve for Wolves differ to Andersen or Harris riding in that position for P'boro.
  16. Yeah it was a good call but it would of helped if some people who don't use social media/internet heard the news, my elderly parents (both in their 80's) rang the stadium like their done for years if the weather looked dodgy mid afternoon but no one answered the phone, the weather was still dry at half 6 so they set out on their 20 mile drive up to Foxhall only to get there a little after 7 to find no cars in the car park and the stadium locked up, it was only when they phoned me from the stadium that i had to tell them it had been called off at 11am, i hadn't even checked myself to be fair because i wasn't expecting such an early call off, they weren't none to impressed when i told them
  17. Danyon was always good value when he was at Ipswich, bit rough round the edges but was to be expected as he'd not long converted over to speedway as i believe he came from another 2 wheeled background originally, he always had good bikes so happy to see his hard work finally starting to pay off.
  18. I can't see any tickets being available on the day really, it'll surely be tickets in advance and season ticket holders having first chance of tickets, not being funny but who would want to drive x amount of miles to a speedway meeting on the off chance when you get there they still have tickets available to get in, I'd rather have guaranteed admission before i set out on a journey.
  19. Im sure i read somewhere or heard that red shale has always been available but as all the quarrys are based up north it isn't the cheapest option to transport down.
  20. s I've been scrolling thru doing various Foxhall/Spedeworth Google searches but can't actually find anything about capacity numbersmost I've found is backstraight terracing holds 3,500 and backstraight stand holds 1,500, so that's 5,000 along the backstraight only, i know their often had 10,000 to 15,000 in the stadium for big Hotrod/Stockcar meets, and likewise had them same kind of numbers at speedway back in the day
  21. A chap who works as a contractor at my company has a partner who works on the turnstiles at Foxhall and she was talking to Julie Louis only last wk and she said Ipswich wouldn't be able to run without spectators and would be financial suicide.
