Jenkins seems a bit injured prone for my liking, had a few to many crashes last season.
-
Loads of rumours flying about, last one i heard was Lindgren plus Brennan, King, Ellis and Nicholls at reserve with Edwards, plus one other.
-
Good news not far away then, regarding the No 1 rumours about Woffinden/ Lambert, what's the chance of Lindgren riding over here again, and if so what his average last season.
-
If Northampton don't happen the might be a few riders without a team, Ipswich can't fit in Brennan, King, Rew, Lawson, Wright, Becker plus an out and out No1, also Tungate and and the Aussie from Belle Vue.
-
Haps the new owner/owners are still waited to get a No 1 signed up as rumoured earlier in the thread before putting a statement out, and when done so will then make a combined announcement regarding the new full 1-7 and who's now running Ipswich Speedway.
-
Are TRU PLANT still involved with Sheffield or Ipswich sponsorship wise this coming season.
-
Not sure if Rew will be back unless the new owners don't mind paying over the odds for him, or he's lowered his demands compared to what he wanted last season, which ended up pricing himself out of a ride at Ipswich.
-
Sure it was mentioned on another thread that Kemp was giving the Championship a miss as he's riding abroad this coming season, dunno if that means he gonna miss the UK completely and not do the Premiership either.
-
He's another jumped up aussie with a face like a smacked arse much like Jack Holder, and also a bit of a gating tart, he wasnt all that special the few yrs he rode at Foxhall tbf, he might get a look in now Louis aint running the show, don't think he left Ipswich on the best of terms when he last rode for them.
-
Oh oops, didn't see that bit, but surely its gotta be the same rule across the board, as in all leagues, but then again it is Britain speedway we're talking about so god knows😆
-
Sure its 8% for every full season
-
Exactly this, my elderly parents both now 85 were season ticket holders at Ipswich and Peterborough for yrs plus attended Mildenhall and Lynn fairly regularly and had been going right back from the Norwich speedway days but they haven't attended meeting's probably since Covid, i set them up with BSN and their more then happy to get their speedway fix from the comfort of their own frontroom every wk, i did drag them along to Mildenhall last season but it was just to cold for them tbf.

Jason Crump🤔

I'm sure King and Rew will slot in somewhere as well as Brennan.

2026 Premiership is Go! - At least 5 teams

He had said he wasn't doing UK this yr, but haps he's had a change of heart -
Heeps always had the ability but never took the fitness bit seriously, would always come into a fresh season carrying to much weight, i think one year he spent the pre season training with Scott.N and he was the fittest and slimmest he'd ever been and had a decent season that year, a shame really coz he was a joy to watch flying round Foxhall and few inches from the fence.

Poole are in a different league

Serious question, how many genuine No1's are actually guaranteed to commit to a full UK season, Fricke, Bewley and Kurtz been have been mentioned and possibly Holder, surely you need at least 5 if Sheffield and Ipswich run, or even 6 if this mystery 6th team happens, you really can't have a repeat of what happened this season with Birmingham/Oxford and one or two teams end up weak at No1 and become whipping boys.
-
Or Robert Lambert🤭

What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
kevin bass replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Must be hard and very upsetting sitting on the bench whilst earning 400k a wk -
I'd rather watch Simon Lambert then that jumped up mercenary

Dan Thompson will be at Leicester

2026 Premiership is Go! - At least 5 teams
kevin bass replied to RoundTheBoards's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Exactly, it'll be the Premiership in name only tbf with what top riders are left to ride over here next season. -
It's been mentioned on the Leicester thread that Dan was offered a really good sponsorship deal if he returned to Leicester but it was only available if he did so, and like been said he did seem to struggle around Foxhall after his injury and he gets around Leicester better as a home track so its a no brainer for him if that's the case.
-
Chris Louis wont over pay what he thinks a rider is worth and the rumours are Leicester have offered Dan more then Ipi were prepared to pay, much the same as last yr when Rew was offered a better deal by Birmingham.
