  1. I used to look forward to the Cardiff GP personally, more of a social event then just purely the meeting itself, drive up on a Friday afternoon/early evening, wander round the city before and after the meeting, then spend Sunday at Cardiff Bay before driving home Sunday evening, found it something to look to on the calendar every year. British Final at Coventry back in the day was another meeting year on year that was one to look forward to.
  2. Yeah ive downloaded the app on the Firestick for now, but hopefully Samsung/LG TVs will approve the App sooner rather then later and then can download it from the Samsung/LG App store all being well.
  3. We're nearly at the end of May, so anyone heard any news or an update regarding the new App BSN have spoke about bringing out😑
  4. No doubt a few of um or even most if um are on a guarantee, don't matter if they score 3 or 13.
  5. Problem is the fixtures on British speedway site states tapes up time for Ipswich as 730, but its always been first race at 7.45.
  6. Same as Ipswich, start time states 7.30 but that's the start of the meeting, ie riders announced, first race is always 7.45.
  7. Obviously the person in question has nothing better to do with his time🤣
  8. This is one of the reasons the sport is on its a#se, slightest risk of bad weather and the club will call it off early, wasnt a problem back in the day, mind you back then the riders didn't have the power they have now regarding the track being a bit iffy and them not fancy riding on it.
  9. Good luck to the lad if he's found a type of bike racing that suits him, meself and Dean Machine and a few others were only saying what we'd witnessed last season when he jacked in speedway, no one was doubting the lads talent on a bike, hopefully if he continues to do well and excel in Flat Track racing he may well be tempted back into speedway at some point.
  10. Like been said before the simply aint enough top riders left who are willing to ride over in the UK for a full season to cover 5 or even 6 teams in the top league, if you can really call it a top league these days, you might get one or two riders come back for a few meetings once their Polish team has fulfilled their fixtures later in the season if your lucky.
  11. No disrespect to the lad but if he aint got over the mental block of throttling off soon as someone gets near him he won't fair no better in flat track racing either.
  12. Same here Iain, im hoping my parents 3yr old Samsung will be compatible
  13. Well i set up the Firestick with the Amazon Silk Browser like said and all was good👍 mind you ive still had to write down a step by step guide for my parents to follow just incase they get confused when i aint about come the next meeting, fingers crossed they get the hang of it after using this way to watch BSN after a few meetings, time will tell tho.
  14. Silly question but how do you find it on a firestick, ive got one laying around at home and had a quick look but nowt came up when i searched for BSN
  15. I'll take a look at one, least it'll work like ya say if this app update in May don't do the job regarding watching it via the web browser on a smart tv, still pi##es me off tho that ive got to find an alternative way for my parents to watch something their paid for and something that had always worked fine via a web browser ever since BSN first started a few yrs back until now.
  16. I aint gotta clue tbf Iain, it would nice if someone from BSN actually explained what was happening rather then being vague and saying the update in May should work on most major tv manufacturers
  17. Well if this so called App update that's mentioned to come into play in May still doesn't work on a smart tv via the web browser then i for one will be demanding a refund for my parents as they've splashed out for a full season pass that they can't currently view.
  18. I think the current new version of the App basically wont work on a Smart TV as the old version had for the last few yrs as the Web browsers on the TVs cant run with the new version or summit, basically their messed it up for the people who used to watch it thru their Web browser on a smart tv, like been said they should of left it as it was if it was gonna cause this much bother for people, or at least role it out when it was fit for purpose and suited everyone however they preferred to watch it, some people may prefer to cast/mirror it from a phone/tablet or hdmi it via a laptop or whatever, but for the older generation its beyond them especially my parents anyway, it was pretty much hassle free the last few seasons since BSN started viewing it via the web browser on a smart tv, so much for progress😐
  19. Not being funny Iain but they'd even struggle to switch the TV source on to the required hdmi source, there's been occasions where they aint even been able to find the web browser on the TV and if ive shown them once then ive shown them 100 times how to do it, if this new App doesn't work when its finally available then I'll probably be asking for a refund for them same as Wee Eck did.
  20. Yeah like my elderly parents who upgraded their TV to a smart TV and also upgraded to superfast fibre to be able to watch BSN when it first came available 2 or 3 years ago, and now their stuck unable to watch it after paying out for a yearly pass, piss poor if you ask me, yeah its fine telling people they can cast/mirror it from a phone/tablet or HDMI cable it from a laptop but my parents who are 85 aint tech savvy and it is beyond them to figure out, even if i showed them how to do it they'd of forgotten by the time the next meeting came around, and i aint local enough to keep popping round every meeting to keep getting it set up for them🤨
  21. Like Iain B said don't think it'll work at present thru a smart tv web browser, there lies the problem for my parents atm anyway.
  22. I'll have a look on Saturday for the next meeting, so if i use the original app and password your saying the app should still work in theory
  23. Exactly this, had very few issues overall since BSN first came available, yeah had the odd dodgy meeting with minor issues, but its been unwatchable the first 2 meetings thus far via the web browser on my parents smart tv, considering they bought a new smart tv to be able to watch BSN to start with and now all of a sudden it aint compatible, tbf their both 85 and wouldn't have a clue how to mirror it from a mobile or a tablet.
  24. Ive already registered with a new password but can't watch a meeting without the stream freezing every few minutes, even refreshing the page wont help, gave up on the Workington meeting on Saturday and the Belle Vue meeting 2night because the stream just keep freezing and does bugger all after a while
  25. I can try but can't see no way round it till the app updates so it'll work on a smart tv like it has all the other previous seasons.
