Could The Uk League Run On A 4tt Basis
stevebrum replied to Hawk127's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Finland run a 4 team league and I think the Slovak's do as well?Small leagues with not enough riders probably makes sense. Don't think it's viable for our league tho. -

Won't be Poole that's for sure. -

We can't win it every year. -

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ A post I finally agree with. -
No brainer move. Has stalled a little in Poland too so hopefully he can show improvement back over here.

Riders have to adapt to every track, otherwise Cookie would have been in double figures in Poland. -

Of course I understand. Do you understand however that passing often happens NOT wobbling off the inside. Just pointing out you said good races are usually when someone wobbles off the inside. Think we have seen clear evidence tonight that isn't the case. Perhaps you should have said there are good races without wobbling as an example to back up your point. Anyway not a classic meeting but still decent. Heat 13 a perfect example of what the track can offer. Could be worse, we could be back at the Poole horror track. -

3 last places off gate 4 in the last 3 heats. Thankfully Jacob bucks that trend in 14. -

everybody, bar the obvious 2 knows that. Absolutely. Disgraceful comment to make. They lock up more on small tracks that's true but any true speedway fan knows it happens at every track. -

Think it's clear who tells the 'lies'. Heat 13 (like many others) disproves your 'wobbling off the inside line' passing. -

Heat 13, what a terrible advert for the sport. The Wolves track delivering another great race. -

I said both are small tracks, which they are. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. (More light hearted humour!) -

And the years we have finished low down in the league and beaten easily by Poole??? Wolves have built a strong team, and made changes at the right time. It's funny how we only have massive home advantage when we are winning. Yet never mentioned during our lean years. But thanks for confirming your lack of knowledge on the subject. That of course is very true. Both ride different and yes more finesse and control is needed at Wolves. And those who haven't got it are exposed quite badly, Barker in particular. Good race from Ben. One race in 4. -

Another hint, it's not called speedBUMPway. The real horror track. -

You need to master throttle control at the small tracks, I'd have thought he might have been more sophisticated given he seems to be doing well at Redcar, another small track. -

We might need to delete this post. Mr Wobble and Mr Horror say there is never good racing (although I'm not sure which universe they were referring too). average meeting so far with a handful of decent races. If any team should deliver a challenge it should be Rye House. Robson never disappoints at Monmore. -

Barker summed up that he is pretty much out of control. Track not to blame for his mistake. -

Typical Barker, no control. Glad he is okay tho. -

I'm hoping they rerun the Poole match straight after, so we can see the real comedy track of the league. -

I'm surprised anyone bit! SCB has seen racing at Wolves often so knows just how good it is. But it was very Shovlar like, and equally unbelievable. -

Haha haha Poole has to be the worst track in the country right now. Nothing can deflect from that. -
Worrall will have a point to prove after being left out at Belle Vue so hopefully he is the best available option. But true, not an adequate replacement.

He guested for Wolves at home 2 weeks ago and scored 4+1 from 5 rides. Much better than when he guested for Rye last time but hardly match changing. Robbo in reserve could be the difference and I can see him top scoring. -

One and only one person calls Monmore 'the horror track'. No one else ever does. So yes it's very easy to dismiss one persons opinion. I've read plenty of comments talking about why they don't like small tracks and commented on meetings they haven't enjoyed. Thankfully SKY's favourite track delivered and often. Not every meeting will be a classic. Could be worse, we could have another bore fest of a meeting from Poole like the last one, it's not likely to be difficult to top the last BT league match. -

It's not like anyone is listening to the usual suspect. I'm expecting to read post after post saying the same later. You just have to pity the sensible posters who have to read that repetitive nonsense.
