  1. True, wasn't she the announcer at Belle Vue as well? Sure I read that somewhere.
  2. in your opinion and not shared by many. You have repeated this about 6 times already and others (not just me) point out you are wrong. Sadly Col appears to be in a small club of people that believe if they say the same thing often enough it might be true. Besides Shovlar (who always rates Wolves teams poor in any season) most posts I've read seem to rate Wolves as one of the better teams on paper.
  3. Plenty of corkers out there in TV land. However I'd rather they employ knowledgeable people instead of vacuous beauties, no matter how good they look.
  4. Tend to disagree with that. We have all witnessed some none speedway people trying to comment on TV and failing miserably to be replaced very soon. I remember Charlie Webster asking Peter Adams and other team managers if they can "still pull this back" before heat 15 with the result already known. Absolutely clueless if there knowledge is that poor.
  5. What information has been released that indicates Coventry won't be running??? A team has been announced and until it's indicated it's over its still on, right?? Don't believe all you read and see, some pictures show a mess whilst others show that it's not as bad as others reported. Trouble is there isn't anything official to report.
  6. It would certainly put me off going if he was on the mic. He covered for Porkie at Wolves about 3 times in 2016. The dullest dross I've ever heard.
  7. What appears clear as far as all 3 clubs go is that they are all complicated issues trying to sort so quite possibly no side is allowed to release too much information still. I get that it's frustrating for the fans of those clubs however all the information released so far indicates that all 3 clubs will be running. It's probably Coventry that has the most problems and they have a full team.
  8. Peterborough another team that has had lots of issues! You only mentioned the EL (top flight) so I assumed you only meant that that was a issue. Plymouth even started and nearly closed early part of 2016 so there are lots of problems at all levels. It doesn't matter which league has the most problems. What we know is that several clubs throughout the sport have struggled for a few seasons and throughout this close season. For every success story like Rye House or Glasgow there is one in trouble like Leicester or Plymouth.
  9. British speedway is in a mess, not one league. Do you not follow what the issues other leagues have? Berwick have been struggling for a few seasons, Workington owners have said crowds are an issue, Plymouth have struggled and withdrawn from 2nd tier, national league struggles to complete all fixtures on a virtual annual basis. Yea, it's all the fault of the top flight.
  10. Working for nothing effectively. You do people who offer their services and time for free to do a vital service a disservice. I volunteer at Birmingham and don't consider that I 'get in for free'. On active duty for sometimes 4 hours, I consider getting to watch some racing a perk. Nothing more. People who go to work usually get paid, not for the privilege of attending. Not all people who volunteer do it for gain.
  11. Yes he does, post quoted below from 4 days ago. There is nothing that can be said right now that much is obvious.
  12. Whilst you are blinded that others can see the potential of this Wolves team. We get it... you don't rate this Wolves team. Maybe best say it another half dozen times for someone to give a jot.
  13. Maybe he will be visiting to look for himself to report nothing happening yet again.
  14. Ironic that Shov loves nothing better than a bit of criticism or ridicule when it comes to all things Coventry. I was being a tad sarcastic. But it has been widely reported by locals and local press that nothing has happened since 1st Jan so i think we knew that answer anyway.
  15. Blind to his limitations? ? He was nigh on untouchable on the grass and rode at the highest level on longtrack. This was a guy who had undoubted natural ability on a bike. Did he under achieve in speedway? ? Possibly or maybe that was his level however he was one meeting away from the grand prixs to show that ability was there. I may have been taunted (some might say haunted) by a comment I made about him years ago. Funnily enough no one ever gets the quote right which is laughable in itself. For the record I said he had the POTENTIAL to be a world champion and I stand by that still. He never got to that level so maybe it was an unjustified comment. However if you base his ability on bikes (which I did) then I'm more than happy to stand by it. As for the 'liquidating my pants' comment - zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Sorry Col, I'm not CVS or Pete Adams so no I didn't pick the team. We get it ,you don't rate it. Will be one of the stronger teams this season. And plenty saying the same so far.
  16. He didn't go out of his way, he was in the area. Different thing. There is nothing to report, which is what he reported. No point going overboard about a comment from someone who saw nothing. I might have been more impressed if he reported that Sandhu and Horton meet him there to give personal updates. I'm in the Coventry area this weekend. But I assume if I went I'd see nothing as well.
  17. Thanks for the useless piece of information.
  18. Don't think he has anything positive to say full stop. He is fast becoming the forum grim reaper, spreading doom wherever he posts.
  19. He even said he has only been twice. More nonsense from the forums doom and gloom merchant.
  20. Got to agree. Always enjoy my visits to Poole.
