  1. can only echo that. Aussie champ. The first of several trophies coming Wolves way I hope.
  2. Covered by the ruling on replacements only possible till end of July, unless due to injury.
  3. Of course there were people keeping the pressure on to bring speedway back, just like their was with Birmingham. So not disrespecting any of those involved in that process of that's the tone you have taken. It still needs someone with the ability, money and power to make it happen.
  4. Fair enough. Shame none of those "you know about" got it up and running. We can all talk about we can do this better, it's easy enough to do. All we know is one man put his money where his mouth is, the rest did nothing I assume. Anyway this is getting all a bit personal so let's leave it there. You know people who would have been involved and I have respect for someone who gave speedway back to Leicester. It's not about a points scoring opportunity. I just don't get the venom sprayed DH's way personally after what he made happen. Like I say, I'm not looking to score points.
  5. So who else was known to be looking at bringing Leicester back besides DH. My guess is no one.
  6. Sure about what? ? Did he or did he not set up the current Leicester venue? Can't see much wrong with his attitude towards bringing speedway back to Leicester. Like I say, very short term memories.
  7. I understand some find having a go at DH easy but without him there would be no speedway in Leicester to talk about. Small memories and all that.
  8. That's the spirit, believe you stand a chance.
  9. Awesome way for the Rockets to start with the champions and one of the higher rated teams this year. Delighted for you all getting the best side as your first visitors.
  10. Often. No idea what they are saying but they have an infectious way of presenting. But then I'm a fan of Nigel and Kelvin presenting too.
  11. True, wasn't she the announcer at Belle Vue as well? Sure I read that somewhere.
  12. in your opinion and not shared by many. You have repeated this about 6 times already and others (not just me) point out you are wrong. Sadly Col appears to be in a small club of people that believe if they say the same thing often enough it might be true. Besides Shovlar (who always rates Wolves teams poor in any season) most posts I've read seem to rate Wolves as one of the better teams on paper.
  13. Plenty of corkers out there in TV land. However I'd rather they employ knowledgeable people instead of vacuous beauties, no matter how good they look.
  14. Tend to disagree with that. We have all witnessed some none speedway people trying to comment on TV and failing miserably to be replaced very soon. I remember Charlie Webster asking Peter Adams and other team managers if they can "still pull this back" before heat 15 with the result already known. Absolutely clueless if there knowledge is that poor.
  15. What information has been released that indicates Coventry won't be running??? A team has been announced and until it's indicated it's over its still on, right?? Don't believe all you read and see, some pictures show a mess whilst others show that it's not as bad as others reported. Trouble is there isn't anything official to report.
  16. It would certainly put me off going if he was on the mic. He covered for Porkie at Wolves about 3 times in 2016. The dullest dross I've ever heard.
  17. What appears clear as far as all 3 clubs go is that they are all complicated issues trying to sort so quite possibly no side is allowed to release too much information still. I get that it's frustrating for the fans of those clubs however all the information released so far indicates that all 3 clubs will be running. It's probably Coventry that has the most problems and they have a full team.
  18. Peterborough another team that has had lots of issues! You only mentioned the EL (top flight) so I assumed you only meant that that was a issue. Plymouth even started and nearly closed early part of 2016 so there are lots of problems at all levels. It doesn't matter which league has the most problems. What we know is that several clubs throughout the sport have struggled for a few seasons and throughout this close season. For every success story like Rye House or Glasgow there is one in trouble like Leicester or Plymouth.
  19. British speedway is in a mess, not one league. Do you not follow what the issues other leagues have? Berwick have been struggling for a few seasons, Workington owners have said crowds are an issue, Plymouth have struggled and withdrawn from 2nd tier, national league struggles to complete all fixtures on a virtual annual basis. Yea, it's all the fault of the top flight.
  20. Working for nothing effectively. You do people who offer their services and time for free to do a vital service a disservice. I volunteer at Birmingham and don't consider that I 'get in for free'. On active duty for sometimes 4 hours, I consider getting to watch some racing a perk. Nothing more. People who go to work usually get paid, not for the privilege of attending. Not all people who volunteer do it for gain.
  21. Yes he does, post quoted below from 4 days ago. There is nothing that can be said right now that much is obvious.
  22. Whilst you are blinded that others can see the potential of this Wolves team. We get it... you don't rate this Wolves team. Maybe best say it another half dozen times for someone to give a jot.
  23. Maybe he will be visiting to look for himself to report nothing happening yet again.
